Small town charm. Thats what prompted us to stop by. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a "hello, come on in" the type of small town kindness we love. The staff is genuine and sweet. The ambience is warm, country and welcoming. The food was made to order, fresh, hot and delicious! The cook even made extra veggies for us, as he was not satisfied with the amount we originally received. We each got something very different and enjoyed every morsel. Plenty of BBQ sauces to try ready for you on the table. Fantastic small town BBQ. Felt like home, like family. Took dessert to go, after some kind recommendations from our server. Can't wait to try. The reviews led us a little astray on this one. What we thought would be good smoked BBQ was overpriced and mediocre. $63 for lunch for two in a small town seems a bit high. We had the poppers, which you only get three of, the ponyshoe with pulled pork and the brisket platter with two drinks. The smoke was a very faint back flavor in both the pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was oven roasted tender not slow smoked fall apart tender and was bit on the dry side. I'm not sure what's in the spice rub for the pork, but it had more of a poultry rub flavor than a smoke done. Was pretty generic and we wouldn't eat here again. read more

We would not found this place if it wasn't for such a long line at the Creamery in Beaver UT. I have to say, I am really glad we found Nicks! Small restaurant but is very comfortable. Our server was slammed with guests but did a great job. I like the rustic decor of the place. I was going to try the smoked plate but was not in the mood for so much food and ordered a burger instead. The burger was not that big but it was packed with flavor. Make sure you let the server know how you want it cooked. I usually do med rare but I forgot to mention and it was med well. I still really enjoyed the burger, great mix of spices in the beef. There were probably 5 other tables filled when we were there and they all had ordered some variation of smoked meats. Will definitely stop by on our way through next time and I will for sure try the smoked meat tray. read more

Feel bad for this place. Cool decor inside a historic building and server is nice but food is down right awful. Most driest, tasteless bbq I've ever eaten. We had to add lots of salt/pepper and bbq sauce so we could taste and swallow. Save the time and money and drive 14 miles to cedar city to eat dinner. read more

Great place to stop for dinner after skiing. The Baby Back Ribs are amazing, tender, and so tasty (would definitely order again). Also had the chicken sandwich with cilantro lemon spread. Stopped here from out of town, super flavorful food for an excellent price. The tenderloin sandwich was perfectly crispy and huge, smoked meatloaf was tasty and they had a great spaghetti out of left field. All their sides are wonderful and we'll be back next time we come to Utah! read more

Food was good and prices are reasonable. The low review is due to the rude "cook" and confused waitress. As I sat down the waitress asked if I would like to try the smoked turkey which I declined. When she returned with my drink I asked about the turkey. She seemed confused and mumbled something about not having turkey. I asked her several times about the turkey that she offered when I first came in to no avail. She asked the cook about turkey so he came out and told me "this is not DeDe's" and "this is not Hamberger Patty's " and "we have never offered turkey", then walked away. A moment later I heard him shout out "jerky" at which point the waitress and I realized she had asked about Jerky not turkey. She apologized several times for the misunderstanding and I left her a reasonable tip. The cook who stood there with his hands on his hips rudely telling me that I was not where I knew I wasn't said nothing. Good food but the cook has ruined it for me. read more
