This place reminds me of my grandmother's tacos, it's so good! Who would've thought you could get legit Mexican tacos in Hawaii. Highly recommend getting the Taco platter, the tacos are big enough to get full with two of them and the beans and rice are just as good. If you're having seafood, definitely try the chipotle mayo sauce. If you're having any other meat the red tomatillo salsa goes really well with it. Kick it up a notch and get a Mexican Cola or a Jarrito. This place has us coming back for more. Since there's only one lady working the truck sometimes there can be a wait if there are a few orders in. But oh man is it worth the wait. read more

Very disappointed ,starting with the service at the window, girl was rude, still chose to tip when I paid thinking maybe the rest of the visit would be pleasant waited 37 mins for the taco plate , was dry very little flavor , no wonder the other customer tipped the bottle of sauce into his mouth, I asked for a small cup of water to go with our meal the girl said they only sell bottles of water for$2 ,the welcoming sign says no outside food , so we sat through our meal without a water ,even though I could see a nice big container on the counter inside , hard to believe they won't give a cup of water when spending over $15 for a taco plate and it was served with an attitude ,mistake trying this place again the first time wasn't much better read more

Fresh food!! $34 for four tacos and a plate of chips and fresh salsa. They cook it up so you'll have to wait but at most we waited ten minutes and obviously I'd rather wait for fresh food rather than meat that's been sitting in a warmer all day. Worst chicken I've ever been served. I'm surprised by all of the positive reviews Bc what should've been a simple burrito was pretty much not edible. The meat was dry and over cooked and hard. I ordered the burrito wet and that was also a mistake. There was very little enchilada sauce for $3, and I didn't realize instead the burrito would be covered in sour cream which I don't like. I guess I should've asked but it didn't state that on the menu. My husband didn't mind his fish tacos so perhaps it's what I ordered but I would say stay away from the chicken. We found this place via yelp after visiting the local light house. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before having another adventure. This place is was just a "food truck" aka a little trailer but the people made you feel welcome! We all had a variety of tacos and burritos which were yummy. I personally had 3 carne asada tacos which I enjoyed. Nothing too special but tasty. The salsa did have a mighty kick to it which I did enjoy. My wife had a fish taco and a shrimp taco both with she enjoyed. She like the sauce that was in the tacos. My daughter enjoyed a kids plate with a chicken taco with rice and beans which she devoured. Which is something that doesn't always occurs. The price was more than what I am personally used to paying for that type of food but I did not mind. Overall the staff we very friendly and the good was good. There is a seating area, which was nice and clean. The view was nice, which isn't difficult due to being Hawaii! Authentic Mexican!! Coke from Mexico. The day we were here they had watermelon agua fresca. The carnitas and carne asada tacos are great! Carne asada quesadillas are made with good flour tortillas. Being from a place that has tons of authentic taco truck tacos, this place is really good. The al pastor is to die for, and the fish tacos I liked he best out of all the places I tried Kauai. Kind of expensive for taco truck tacos (comparing to where I'm from) but worth it because they are so tasty, and they have a decent amount of meat in each taco. Food was bland, not much flavor, and the hot sauce wasn't good enough to help improve the burrito or tacos we bought. Don't bother trying to make small talk with the cashier girl, she isn't friendly. Wow! This place is great! Try the shrimp tacos, they are fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. If you want chips and salsa, they'll fry them up for you on the spot (could use a sprinkling of salt). The guacamole is so so, a little too watery for my taste, but not bad. read more
