I went to ask if they still did taco Tuesday and the woman at the front said yes, then I asked where the extra taco is, then she started to argue with me so i walked away. This place was recommended by the locals. It's a little taco truck on the side the side of the main road. They have so many menu options. We chose the ono torta and the carne asada torta. So delicious and hardy. Price was great for the amount of food. Both were made to order. Great friendly service. We will definitely come back to try the Fish tacos. read more

Waited about an hour for mediocre Mexican food... GOOD: 1) Cashier/waitress said "Have a nice day." when she handed me the to go bag; 2) She put enough sauce in the bag to moisten the driest fish taco I've ever eaten (the ONO). BAD: 1) Carnitas burrito was suuuper salty - couldn't be finished; 2) ONO tacos were incredibly dry and needed a ton of sauce to palate; 3) Both of the platters we ordered that were supposed to come with rice and beans were MISSING the beans - pretty crucial, but luckily we still had some leftover pulled pork from Chicken In A Barrel to mix into the rice. Considering how much more the tacos here are, like, 5 bucks each vs 2-3 bucks in NYC, and how long we waited, plus the missing parts of orders, with the crappy quality of the food, I cannot in good conscience steer anyone towards this place. Got the chili Rihanna's, mediocre at best. Very slow service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

We are from So Cal, and we are used to great Mexican food. So, after a few rip-offs on food, we were nervous going to a stand right off the road. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the taste, wait, and price for our lunch before snorkeling. We ordered the carnitas and ono tacos, and they were delicious and filling. Tjere service was great, too. It can be difficult to get good grub on the go in a tourist trap, but Paco's Tacos made us feel like we were at home while on vacation. read more

Not sure where to start. . . . Food was good for hungry folks just off a fishing boat. Service is an area to improve. Filling a complete order would be nice too. Lastly bring a cup to pee in or find a tree to pee behind. Because they don't even care enough to have a port-a-potty on site?! I don't get it, if your in the service industry you have to step up to the plate. Folks can eat anywhere and SERVICE is what makes or breaks you. This freaky fast in giving the food. I was super hungry when I went to this place. We ordered chips with guacamole , shrimp taco and veggie burrito. This place is you having nice outdoor sitting with tall trees around. During evening the string lights are very pretty. The ambience is very good. I loved my veggie burrito. They did have decent vegetarian options. Loved their sauces. It was really yummy. The guacamole was fresh and it tasted really great. My husband also loved his shrimp tacos. Good food and ambinence. If you want a fast easy Mexican meal this place is where it's at. Got the fish and shrimp burrito. Kinda worried about it being too soggy and the cabbage being over powering. However this burrito was amazing. Just the right amount of cabbage to give it a little crunch. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The creamy chipotle hot sauce they have was amazing. I got the Baja (fried) ono tacos, and they smelled and tasted like they'd been in the freezer for months. I ended up peeling off the mushy breading and just eating the mediocre fish inside. Paco's Tacos is such a yummy place for your Mexican food fix (and is right next to Healthy Hut if you need to pick up some groceries). They have really fresh ingredients and the prices are pretty fair. This is a great place to stop on your way up north to the light house for a quick lunch. They have really nice outdoor seating now which we were really happy to see they upgraded from the year prior when we visited them last. I usually get the pork tacos and they are so delicious. My husband always gets the burritos, you can't go wrong with either! read more

Not too many food options after a while when you live in Kilauea. We forgot about Paco's until one day we needed to try something "new" a.k.a not fish market for once lol. Cali Burrito is the boyfriend's go to/favorite. For me, I like to try something different every time. We still have yet to be disappointed. Call in your order if you know what you want. Do not order frozen ono fish tacos! So fishy and rubbery and hard! Over frozen! No excuse to have frozen fish tacos on kauai. Carne Asada ok. Chicken ok. Nothing great. Huge nachos. Great and friendly service. For a tiny food truck they pump out the food and it doesn't take too long to receive your order. Call ahead if you can. Pico de gallo good! Guacamole, not so much. My favorite place to go for taco's on any island in Hawaii. Everything is fresh, delicious, and authentic tasting. Everything on the menu is good. I would have it three times a week if I could, but it's a little expensive. I'd suggest this place to anyone visiting :) read more

Solid Mexican food in the heart of the Hawaiian jungle. I was on Kauai in August with my son and staying in Princeville. We wanted a quick dinner, but didn't want to deal with the touristy/busyness of Hanalei or get supermarket deli take-out so we came here. It was raining and there were only a few people here. Ten minutes to drive here, and only about ten minutes waiting for the food. The ono fish tacos were, well, ONO. Sooo good. Perfectly seasoned with a crunchy slaw. Just like in Ensenada. The beans were a bit bland, but nothing a little fresh hot salsa can't leverage. My son got the bean and cheese burrito from the kid's menu and he LOVED it. If you're staying on the northeast side of Kauai, I highly recommend you come here for a delicious and authentic and quick meal. read more

This place was a totally unexpected hit. We'd tried hitting up Pat's Taqueria in Hanalei the day before but he was a no-show :-( The next day after snorkeling, we still had a hankering for tacos so we came here. I was not disappointed at all. I had both fish and carnitas tacos. Both were *stuffed* full with meat. The fish was light and seasoned nicely, and I really enjoyed the sauce that was drizzled on it. The same sauce is used on their shrimp taco, which hubs ate and said it was a little overpowering on the shrimp. I thought it was excellent with the fish. The pork in my carnitas taco was AMAZING! So full of flavor, moist on the inside with a nice hint of char on the outside. Hubs also raved about the carne asada saying it was some of the best. We shared a side order of rice, which was very generous and fluffy but a little bland. We drizzled hot sauce on it to punch it up a bit. The portions were HUGE. One taco for each of us probably would've been enough. The service was super friendly, the girl that took our order was so nice. The solo girl cooking on the inside did an excellent job. The best thing place in the world! I would drive to Tijuana and back for this instead of Federico's. I always get the Cali burrito and it never fails.
