The sign says authentic , I would beg to differ I asked if the Carne asada burrito had rice and beans in it, because the menu just said meat, pico and guac salsa and they said no. Seriously? That's basically just a big taco! We got the fish taco and carne asada taco, and it was lack luster.

If you live on Kauai you probably have eaten here quite a bit. It's not the best but not the worst. I usually play it safe and get a bean and rice burrito which is decent although it usually has tons of rice and not a lot of beans. Yesterday after a long day at the beach, we stopped at paco taco in Kilauea, I got the nachos for my daughter and her friend to share. I was shocked that they were $19! I mean, I get it, Kauai is expensive but for $19 I expected them to be really good with lots of toppings. They were terrible. Very disappointing...definitely don't get the over priced nachos here!! If you want a good fish burrito go to Kilauea fish market, or check out healthy hut for their hot food and salad bar. And if looking for good street tacos head to Kapaa for little fatties they never disappoint. Just my opinion

Burned meat !! Literally charcoal was served to us on Al Pastor torta and when we tried to tell the lady who is in the billing she was laughing at us as he heard a joke !! They didn't take care of it !! We paid $ 16.31 for eating Charcoal!! Stay away from this place if you have any other food options!!

    Price of paradise.

Paco's is charging $22 for enchiladas and other plates. That's just crazy. Beans and rice is an arm and a leg. No beans tonight. Would have hope that it would be replaced by extra rice or chips (as I requested). But no, small plate a food for almost $23. Paco's used to be the affordable place for locals.

After reading many reviews of the food here, I finally decided to try it out. The tacos are okay, but pretty pricey for what it is. We ordered the carne asada tacos, soft shell crab and ceviche. The ceviche was just a mix of tomatoes and small pieces of fish. It was refreshing but lacking some flavour. The carne asada was good but the steak was alittle over cooked in my opinion. We enjoyed the soft shell crab tacos but noticed that it's just a small piece you get. Had it been bigger, it would of been better and definitely worth the price.

The best al pastor of any I've had since I've been in Mexico. Friendly service, great food and flexible hours.

We also loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is open and airy, with plenty of fresh air, creating a relaxed island vibe. We started with several small plates. The beet salad was fresh, beautifully prepared, and large enough to share. The highlight of the appetizers, however, was the local Kauai prawns. They were perfectly cooked and served sizzling in an iron skillet with a rich, lemon-butter sauce that was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-order! For our entrées, we had the Catch of the Day and the Chicken Marsala. The Catch of the Day was outstanding--fresh, expertly prepared, and easily the star of the meal. The Chicken Marsala was flavorful and well-cooked, though it was just a little saltier than I personally prefer. Overall, the food quality was great, the service was friendly and attentive, and the entire dining experience was outstanding. If you're visiting Kauai, don't miss the Catch of the Day--it was exceptional! We highly recommend The Bistro for delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The group started with Caesar salads, house salad & the beet salad. For entrees, 2 chose blackened sea bass, 2 chose the pork chop w/ pineapple whiskey sauce. Also chose chili pepper chicken & mushroom risotto croquettes. Kids had fettuccine Alfredo. All were good except we found a piece of plastic in the croquettes. Obviously those were returned. The pork chop was served with perfectly cooked sautéed spinach. However, the sauce was thin & had no hint of whiskey. The chicken was kind of dry - it needed a dipping sauce. Lilikoi cheesecake was good, not great. The berry compote served on side overpowered the lilikoi sauce drizzled on the plate. Service was friendly & fairly prompt. Overall, a nice dinner, but not anything to rave about.

I ordered the Teriyaki Burger with fries and a Lava Flow, and both really hit the spot. The burger had a great sweet-and-savory balance from the teriyaki glaze, pineapple, slaw, and shoyu mayo. It was messy in the best way, with plenty of flavor, and the fries were a solid side. The Lava Flow was also a highlight: tropical, creamy, fruity, and very photogenic. The worst mai tai I have ever had. My god. Ordered the "top shelf" Mai tai, and it was absolutely brutal. First, it wasn't shaken OR stirred. What does this mean? It was served one ingredient on top of the next, room temperature, and tasted like a hot mess. We actually felt sick from it. The amount of syrup this bartender used was crazy. She's either not tasting her drinks, or has just fried her taste buds doing god knows what over the years. Please, for your customer's sake, train the bartenders.
