So, I went very safe and order the chicken tenders and fries with a side salad. Nothing spectacular; just over breaded, over done bar food. The fries were not greasy which was great! Just started ordering from this pub through Skip the Dishes. We are in love with this place. They have excellent hot wings, tasty Asian wings, both served with either blue cheese or ranch dressing and baby carrots and celery. The wings were meaty and the sauces excellent. Another favorite is their fried portabello mushrooms though I think they're pricey. Sure are good, though. Have also had their fried buffalo chicken sandwich served on a rotella bun. I asked them to add Swiss cheese, which they did no question. Served with their delicious homemade potato chips. The chicken on their sandwiches is flattened and tender and generous. This place is pretty damn good! Friendly and speedy service, fair prices, and delicious food. I had a Rueben sammich and it was probably the best one I've ever eaten. Piled so,so high with tasty corned beef, cabbage, and melty cheese. I ate the whole thing and was pleasantly full. I normally don't like kettle chips because they break my teeth, but the ones here that are made in-house were adequately crunchy without being hard as rocks. I have ordered a double burger from Paddy's twice now through Skip the Dishes and I have been pleasantly surprised and delighted. The burgers were excellent. Hot, juicy, very flavorful. They use good, old Rotellas buns and you just can't beat those. I got a side order of fries and the amount was plentiful. The fries were fine, crinkle-cut. They were nothing to rave about, but not bad. Just OK, but you get a lot for the money. All-in-all, I liked it a lot. The burger was great! Well worth the price! read more

I've been checking out new places with GrubHub recently and Paddy's was by far my favorite! I ordered the Top O The Morning Burger and while I never expect piping hot, this burger was as fresh as could be for the length of time it took to get to me (bottom was still hot!). Would have preferred a tad more seasoning on the patty but nothing to complain about. Their home made chips were great as well! I'll be venturing out to check them out in person soon! read more

The last two times we've been into Paddy McGown's the service has been less than ideal. Both times we sat and waited while wait staff handled other things. I would have been happy if our presence was just acknowledged. It felt like if you're not a regular or know the bartender, then your business wasn't important. We waited 10 minutes and the young man who was presumably a waiter walked by us a number of times and we were looked over. We decided to go to Barrett's instead where we were welcomed warmly and the service is quick and friendly. I might consider giving McGown's one more try, but it will be a long time before we go back. read more

Might have given a better rating, however when trying to resolve an issue about an order, we have been harassed to no end. We had food delivered. 2 meat and bread sandwiches which were soggy and the corn beef so tough we threw it out. A Rachael sandwich which was so overly salted and soggy it got tossed as well. The rueben egg rolls were cold and soggy. All to the trash Went and picked up awesome food from Crescent. Suggestions...don't bully and harass a customer with an issue they can and will go elsewhere. Nice atmosphere, the remodel has definitely improved the look of the place. The food is just ok, frozen fries and the chicken tenders were slightly over cooked and the breading doesn't have much flavor. The other person in my group had fish and chips and she was a bit more impressed than I was, but still just ho-hum. **BLACK people BEWARE** I'm giving this place 2 stars because the atmosphere is anti-Black. I've ordered from this place at keast 10 times through DoorDash for delivery. This time I decided to pick it up. As soon as I walked in the place, it was like the record stopped and all Caucasian population in there, mostly male, stopped and stared. One guy just stared at me the whole time I was in there with a nasty expression like I couldn't see him. The bartender came over and was pretty nasty towards me asking what I wanted but then went and got my food from the back, dropped it on the counter, and said "here you go" without even looking at me and walked away. And before you started making excuses, I am of African descent, was dressed in jeans and a sweater and am a doctor...and I shouldn't have to explain all that in the first place. I know what racism looks and feels like because I've experienced it my entire life. This establishment is not for us, doesn't want us there, and must be doing fine without our money because it clearly wasn't wanted. They won't get my business, not pickup or delivery and I'm spreading the word to my friends as well. It's 2021 and I'm from the South so it really baffles me the number of racist establishments and racist experiences I've had in Omaha. read more

I placed a to-go order for 2 orders of "Kaden's Famous Wings", and I can confidently say that those wings aren't even famous in the business next door, let alone the city of Omaha. I had one order of Gaelic wings, and one order of Buffalo - they were both equally as bad. The wing sauce was so viscous that it fails to coat the meat, and ends up pooling at the bottom of the serving dish. There is zero spice/marinade applied prior to cooking, so you're left with nothing more than what is a completely bland and unseasoned piece of chicken. Imagine purchasing raw chicken wings from the grocery, throwing them directly into a fryer, then removing them before the skin crisps, and then consuming - this is Kaden's exact wing recipe. I honestly can't recall the last time I witnessed a restaurant screw up wings, but wow Kaden, these were famously abominable. They also don't bother to include ranch dressing with each $10 order of wings - I swear that I'm still not convinced that this whole experience isn't an episode of the Twilight Zone with me trapped inside. LIKE, WHO DOES THIS?! Naked wings, no seasoning, no dipping sauce, etc....it's literally the easiest food on planet earth to prepare that isn't named Peanut Butter & Jelly, but they found a way(s). I should've known something was up when I read the menu of an "Irish" spot that, ironically enough, contained only 3 menu items originating in the actual country of Ireland. I've been there a few times and the staff is always attentive and friendly the food is delicious and the beer cold. The patrons are kind and always welcoming. This review although is focusing on a very kind gesture that was made by the owner. I went to settle up my tab and my card was declined. It had nothing to do with the machine it was completely my account. I was embarrassed and a little panicked. The bartender was super cool about it and related the situation to the owner in a kind and respectful way. The owner could not have been nicer about it and gave me a few options to settle up. I live about a hundred yards from the bar but the owner had no way of knowing that. He let me grab my check book out of my car and never asked me to leave him anything to ensure I'd be back. As far as he knew I could have been from anywhere and I could have skipped out on him and the bar be out 40 bucks. I've lived in the neighborhood my whole life. It's full of decent working class people. To have a bar/restaurant up the hill with those same values is a great feeling. Come for the great food great prices and cold beer. I've been to Paddy's a few times under the new ownership, and have never been disappointed. The food is spectacular - highly recommend all things Reuben - the egg rolls, the burger and the actual sandwich. Today, though, was above and beyond. We had an impromptu birthday party, and our server, Mark, was the best server ever! He handled an ever expanding table - from 2 to 30 - and hustled his butt off to take care of everyone in a friendly and quick manner. Best Reuben I have had in Omaha. The meat is almost shredded rather than sliced. Trust me it makes for a better sandwich with less animal type crew experience. Went here on my lunch break. Never again. It was busy, but pretty much everyone had already ordered, had their food or were on their way out. Worst service I've encountered in a LONG time. Waited for 10 minutes before we got menus and gave our drink orders (water and tea). A few minutes later our drinks arrived. My friend asked for sugar to put in her iced tea. 10 minutes later, the sugar finally arrived along with the waitress who finally took our order. My friend ordered a burger and I ordered an appetizer for both of us to share and a salad for myself. The appetizer was brought out promptly by a young teen-aged boy. The waitress later (much later) brought our food and that was the last time she willingly came to our table. We were done eating for quite awhile when I finally had to seek out another waitress to see if we could get our checks. That waitress brought our tickets in about 1 minute but just dropped them off and left. Still no sign of our waitress - anywhere. We waited a few more minutes and she finally appeared - at another table. (By this time, the place was pretty empty). I managed to stop her by approaching her and asking if we could pay our bills. She had a major attitude problem and acted like she was too busy to be so inconvenienced by me, then sighed loudly, said, "I guess", literally snatched the money and tickets out of our hands and stomped off. She came back, slammed my friends change down by me and slammed my card down by my friend. This woman is in the wrong line of work. I didn't notice her name but she had shoulder length blonde hair. The nice waitress had very long hair. I waited tables for many years and this kind of behavior only decreases your potential tip earnings. I normally tip a minimum of 20% - and many times, much more than that. Even mediocre service usually garners a 15% tip from me. As such, I gave NO tip to that waitress and my friend only left a dollar. Rude, nasty and disrespectful wait staff do not deserve tips. My lunch break is 1 hour. I was gone for 2 hours due to TERRIBLE service at Paddy McGown's. read more

The bar itself is clean, yet perfectly divey - could be a little darker, though (why SO many lights in the bar?).
