It closed over a year ago. Had good food and service. Just wasn't supported. So it seems this site is not keeping current .

I would accurately say this was a solid 3.5, but def not quite a 4-star for good reason. I loved the old Paddy Ryan's in Hudson, but was happy when they moved closer to us in RF. They took over the old Mainstreeter, and the decor and ambiance has not changed. No updates except for beer glasses that fill from the bottom. Cool, sure but i personally would have spent those funds elsewhere. We arrived with a party of 7, with two kids and a baby. The owner was our waiter and he was amazing. He was understanding of the struggle with two highchair age babies and was accommodating in many ways. Two things that could use improvement- clean the high chairs and make sure they all have safety belts (my baby almost fell through), and have a changing table in the bathroom. Dinner was very good food. The potions were small, even for the kids meals. My two year old scarfed down the fish and could have eaten more but she only got one piece. The fries on all the plates were only a few. Burgers are great as always, I had the beef sandwich which was great. The lamb boxty was very good but you have to like lamb. The fish was great. I've never had a bad meal here. read more

$-$$ Paddy's Pub is located right on Main Street in downtown River Falls, Wisconsin. During the day... I had no problems finding parking right on the street. Because it was just after Noon on a Thursday, Paddy's was not very busy. I walked him and sat right down at the bar and was greeted by a wonderful woman, Nikki, who treated me like family! We talked about the fact that I was an alumni from River Falls University, and she let me reminisce about the places that I visited during my school years back in the day. I was also introduced to Kirk, the pub's owner, who also treated me like family! Nikki and I shared great conversation and swapped family stories while Kirk readied the pub for the dinner rush. I enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich with stout dressing and fries for lunch... paired with the Paddy's Pilsner. If I lived in this area, I would visit Paddy's on a weekly basis! I found the atmosphere wonderful, the people very friendly, and the food delicious! read more

Don't work for this guy!! He claimed he "COULDN'T AFFORD" the business anymore and closed the doors. Then a few days later he reopened them and didn't tell my mom who was one of his main cooks. He still owes my mom $2,000 in unpaid wages and has yet to try to pay her or anything!!! People like this don't deserve to run businesses because they may seem like a really good person but in reality they aren't!!!! read more

Sad to update that Main Streeters is no more. This is now Paddy Ryan's Irish Pub. We have been here a few times since the change. The menu has been changed. The food is good. The decor inside has been updated. I actually like the new look even better. The biggest change however has been the staff. On our most recent trip in for the second time we have found the bartender to be just rude. Her attitude twice has been horrible for no reason. We are always easy going and had a really good relationship with all the previous staff. An example recently was we had just showed up with some friends on their first time here. We bellied up and my friend tried to order a Corona. The bartender said "we don't serve that we are an Irish Pub". She said it with such a condescending and uppity tone. What I found funny is they serve a lot of American beers. It's understandable that they don't carry that beer. It was the attitude and frank uncalled for rudeness that was unacceptable. We stayed for a couple drinks anyway, but she was again rude again later for no reason. For me that is enough to avoid. I wish the owners truly the best of luck. If she is indicative of the general attitude they will have an uphill battle to find regulars in this town. read more

i just had dinner with my daughter here. I was born and brought up in Ireland and was excited to taste the Irish stew Boxty - was not disappointed, it was excellent - such comfort food! The sticky toffee pudding that is one of my favourite deserts was right up there too! Kirk, the owner is so nice and obviously pays a lot of attention to what is going on. We had a party of 12 unannounced looking for good food and drinks. We definitely found it at Paddy's Pub. We were greeted warmly and they set up some tables for our clan. The staff was wonderful, so fun to talk to and joke around with. The pub itself is great, very clean and cozy. A place to take a date or a clan like mine. Their beer selection was great. All different beers from all over Wisconsin. I had a Maple Bock that, well I had two. We all ordered different things and shared around the table. There wasn't any of them that I wouldn't have ordered. Great atmosphere, great food and great beverages. read more

My wife and I gave Mainstreeter's two shots and were disappoint both times. We enjoyed our food on the first visit but our waitress was too busy chatting with her friends at the table next to ours to refill our drinks and give us our check. The second visit went the same as the first with the service but this time the food was bad. I ordered three tacos and the meat refrigerator level cold. I would have requested new ones but our waitress was nowhere to be found. I ended up just grabbing food at Kwik Trip on my way home. read more

Good news if you are a fan of Mainstreeters, the recent change to Paddy's was mostly in name only. Similar menu, same decor, same country music, even the same grease used to fry the food. Service was the one highlight. For those unaware of Mainstreeters and expecting an Irish themed restaurant you will be sorely disappointed. read more

A friend and I came here for dinner and ordered four apps since it was buy one get one half off. We ordered cheese curds, chicken tenders, waffle fries, and mini tacos. The cheese curds were a big hit as we battled for them. They are from the local creamery here in Ellsworth, WI. The waffle fries and chicken tenders were okay. They were honestly just bland. The mini tacos were not appetizing. Still though, the decor and staff were quite lovely. It was a quiet night so our drinks were always full and Marc was really nice and answered all our questions. They recently changed their name to Paddy's which is an Irish themed restaurant. The server and food were very slow. The server told us that they had no chicken... On a Thursday night. That was a good portion of their options. We waited for about an hour after we ordered and there were not that many people in the restaurant or bar. When we got the food I was not impressed. Meh. We have been here many times and the service is horrid and the food is...okay. The place is consistently understaffed especially at lunch and dinner. Why?! You have a packed house with people literally walking out after 10 minutes of only being served water and a waitress is also always pulling bartender duties. I can't figure it out. Mainstreeters has a new hostess who quite frankly stinks. Two longtime servers couldn't stand her, kept telling her to do things and would talk behind her back when she walked away. Swung in here with a friend the other night because we happened to be in town. The cheese curds and homemade chips were unreal, and the fries were perfectly crispy. My chicken strips we fine, and my friend loved her sandwich. Server was friendly, atmosphere was surprisingly family-friendly. I'd stop in again if the opportunity presented itself. read more

Two words: Bull Bites! I always order them, without fail, though I've sampled other items pilfered from friends and family. The grilled cheese is fantastic, as are the cheese curds and onion wings. Billiards in the back is fun, and the staff is always friendly. I give extra points to any place who treats my 8yr old as a valued, paying customer. He can out-eat his daddy and scoffs at kids menus, so when a server takes the time to actually talk to him, we're sold. This is our go-to place to eat before catching a local movie. The food is SO good and the happy hour is even better! Their jumbo tacos, taco salad, burgers and their fries are just delish. My only complaint is that sometimes food seems to take FOREVER and the service can be slow. Tiffany is a FANTASTIC server but otherwise service can be slow and lacking. Left pretty disappointed. Had high hopes for this place after looking at yelp reviews. Decided to stop for a quick beer and bite on a week day. Initial thoughts, clean, love that they have some games and pool, but the beer selection is lacking (as it is in a lot of downtown River Falls bars). Service at the bar was OK, bartender was pretty nice. Food took a bit long for what we ordered. Got the club sandwich with fries and my husband got chicken tenders. Really disappointed with my sandwich, basically just a lot of cold cuts of deli meat with poorly cooked bacon, thought it would be much more fresh so I barely touched it. Slimey deli meat grosses me out, especially when you can tell it came from a preservative filled bag. Chicken strip were OK, don't really know how you could mess that up anyway. Meh. read more

I've worked in the service industry for 10+ years and I understand the majority of the industry but today my boyfriend and I got treated very poorly. Not the bartenders fault in any means but we walked out very unhappy. Not going to let it ruin our day but holy shit some bad customer service. Streeter is a Necessity in River Falls. In a town full of pizza places it's nice to have a place to get some bar and grill fare. My go to's are bull bites (steak tips), cheese curds and wings. I usually get boneless wings, but last time I got done in, I'll stick to the bonesless (sweet chili) the beer cheese soup is perfect, not nacho cheese melter, perfect beer taste... served with a warm breadstick. Each night they have a different special, taco, burgers, app specials etc. always a friendly server or bartender. read more

I've been to this place 3 times now over the course of a year. Which says a lot, considering that if I like a place, I would have visited it more than three times within a year's time. The first time wasn't all the horrible, it was busy, like any typical Friday night restaurant should be. Service took a while, but as expected. Food wasn't so great the first visit. Maybe it was rushed? Forgotten about and left to sit too long? Who knows. The second visit there wasn't any better, again, long service times, and horrid food. I was hoping that by going in the middle of the week when there was less people, that it would be better. Not-so-much. Third time was order out, hoping that maybe these orders would be taken care of better. Nope. I got a basic bacon hamburger and fries. Burger was rare in the middle, only the outsides were cooked, when it was ordered well done or "no pink" as chefs these days are incapable of cooking anything other than pink or no pink. Fries were a joke, and not the good kind. They were old, re-fried fries, like someone couldn't be bothered to make a fresh batch. Considering this place stays open kinda late, a 7pm order shouldn't have come out like this. Now maybe if I had chugged down a few beers, or wine, it would have tasted much better when my palate was inebriated. read more

Friendy people!! Great service. If you are looking for a local bar with a good burger, this is the place. We came to town for a HS bball game and we chose this place, mainly because I love kettle chips. These are the best I have had in awhile. Burgers were great and the onion rings were tasty too. Reasonable prices. Next time we are in River Falls we will stop again. read more

This is a good bar to go for food and some mild entertainment. It is a smaller establishment, so if it a Taco night or Burger night be ready to wait a little and be a little cramped. The service is pretty good and the servers work their tails off. It is not going to have the college crowd, so that is nice. If you want Karaoke, they have that about every other week on Saturday nights. read more

Excellent. I've never hard bad service there. I love the Western pulled pork or Western burger and the food is always done in a timely manner. I like to get it to go and the presentation is always just as good as it'd be on a plate. I really have no complaints. They have a nicer selection of alcohol than the other restaurants near by and it doesn't come off as "college-y." read more
