I've used this store for more than 15 years and I will continue because the service is Amazing and mostly because they have a line of custom hand made frames that are fitted to the exact size I need. If you have a face or head shape that's hard to fit off the rack glasses this is the place to go. When it comes to customize your glasses, this is the place to go, not only about the colors but also in shapes and styles. I have pretty peculiar head shape, so I need the temples to be much longer than usual. That often limits my options to a few basic models (and also makes everything more expensive, since I need to modify standard glasses). But not here. I wished I can give 0. The shop host was friendly and helpful at first time, but I found lots of problem on the lenses. I did not see really clearly at the first time I got my glass, then I put it on my nose go for movie. Then I found lots of shinny spot on my lenses, then I firgure it out it should be when he cut the lenses leave some Scrap on lenses. It is not a big deal then after I finished my movie then I go back to the shop, I told him I found some shinny spot on my lenses, he wipe a couple times I still found some on it. At this moment I found him really impatient. Then I keep shopping until late night I back to home.I found a hugh scratch （about 0.3 cm) on my lens after I back to home. They wont fix any problem because they said I did not point it out at the first time, and there have a policy named 'no return policy' . I was really angery because I only purchase a frame at there if you can not do the opticians job then you can just give me the frame. they said it shows on your credit card receipt. That's heard like bullshit. The reason why I want to return my frame that's because they charge me like $645 for only frame(I purchased my own Zeiss lenses in another place it worth about $300). After that I ask another place they give a price include lenses and frame (fully same), charge me only $730. I understand the price maybe depend on the location of the shop BUT I WANNA PERFECT WORK after I pay the higher price. read more

Horrible people. Were nice with me and helped me try on glasses, then when I started hesitating between two pairs and asking for prices to help my decision, refused to give me the price. Told me to call back for the price because they were busy. BUSY HELPING ME. I left only to find out that they forgot to give me my glasses back. I went back and said I'd wait until they are not busy anymore to get the quote. They started telling me I was not ready to purchase glasses, that I am just looking for prices and that is not what they do in this store. SORRY? He judged me the second I asked the price as someone who could not afford these glasses. Please... The last thing I needed on the day I broke my glasses was someone judgmental who looked down on me like this guy did. I wish I could give less starts. I bought a $1400 pair of Lindberg frames and progressive digital lenses with transition. James was very personable and friendly during the purchase, however, When I came back to pick them up I said that they didn't feel correct. I have been wearing this type of lens for many years and am familiar with it. He told me to get used to it as different sized lenses sit differently. I bought them June 2016. I was away for a large part of the summer and over time when I put these glasses on, I became disoriented and got a headache. I went to another boutique to have them checked and they said that the center of the left lens was off and bring them back to have them fixed, which all opticians do. So, I went back today Sept. 9th and told him this and he refused to fix them unless I get a note from the other boutique. I asked him what did that have to do with anything...they are under warrantee and I have been feeling awful and it is his job to fix it. He refused!!! He was so disdainful and disagreeable. He obviously cares nothing for customer service and just steals money. He actually let me leave without fixing anything and now I have useless glasses....$1400! Don't go in. I will be contacting the BBB and Lindberg directly! read more

I have had multiple issues with the 4 pairs of eyeglasses & lenses I purchased. The most important was being told that I was receiving digital lenses and I later learned (from my MD's office) that they were not. The sales people who helped me were disrespectful and treated me as if I am clueless and did not know what I was talking about. read more

This is a well appointed optical shop in a nice section of ny. The had a frame I liked so I bought them there and gave them my new prescription for Varilux lenses. The older brother dotted the lenses and told me they would be ready in a week. I picked them up and found in the course of the next week that I could not see out of them. I was back the next week wherein James, the younger brother, spent an hour telling me the prescription was wrong. I left and brought them to my ophthalmologist. The prescription was correct; the lenses were not ground correctly. Back I went. The older brother spent five minutes with me re-dotting them and told me they would be ready in a week. I was back in a week-not ready and not apologetic either. The glasses took an extra five days-12 days in all. At least they were right a second time. The experience took month. Bottom line: nice frames, no optometrist on sight, when push comes to shove not nice. Don't go to optical shops that do not make their own lenses or that just sell frames read more
