As with many Travel Channel recommendations, this place did not live up to the hype that they had earned. They are so busy that basic service is spotty. The facility was clean and well stocked. The quality of food is not worth the crowding or wait time that so many are subjected. As a single person party, I chose to find a seat at the bar. It was not overly large and was monitored by 2 servers. I was fairly quickly addressed to get my drink and I ordered a starter without prompting due to the number of patrons. Another sat beside me but she was overlooked for quite a bit of time, finally having to ask for a menu. Once my starter arrived, the okra basket, I was ignored. The okra was ok but nothing special, standard premade restaurant supply brand of thickish breading that was intermittently soft or crunchy. I was 1/4 way through the basket before I had a chance to request cutlery and seeing that the servers had started to focus only on the person next to me that they had initially overlooked, I also requested my entree. I had reviewed the menu prior to arrival and decided on my order in advanced. Unfortunately it was not available on the brunch menu and lunch was not an available option. I should have asked for the check at that time but selected an omelette instead. While waiting and consuming my starter, I requested a menu draft to be told it was unavailable too. The suggested alternative was decent. My entree arrived about 20 minutes later. It was dry, both the eggs and protein. I was able to request and receive a sauce in a short period of time. My refill did not need to be requested but it was incorrect so I did have to ask for another. I know the staff is most likely good, the popularity produced by the Travel Channel keeps them too busy and complacency is prevalent. I had hoped that the publicity did not change the uniqueness of the menu but I will trust my intuition in the future and continue to avoid these types of restaurants. read more

Came in for a quick lunch on my own and ate some delicious food! Service was quick as my server was on it! She was very nice and friendly sharing her menu favorites and suggestions. Nice setup. Hostess is outside at entrance. They take your name and number and dining preference indoor or outdoor. We sat at bar since it was not crazy hot. When my table was ready I cancelled it and just ate at the bar. Friendly atmosphere and service. Ordered BBQ Platter ( Pulled Pork, Wings, and Smoked Sausage) Appetizer of Crab Cakes. Went to Page's in Summerville last night. First time there. We usually go to the one in Mt Pleasant. Building was nice with inside and outside seating. Big fans outside that were loud and blew stuff off out table but provided cool relieve. Order a cocktail the Holy Water and it was watered down. For dinner I had the fried flounder with fried okra and stewed okra/tomatoes. The fried flounder looked old and was not seasoned. Fried okra was just okay. The best part of the meal was the biscuit. It was busy and food came out slow but our server was nice and very attentive. This definitely isn't the Pages of Mt Pleasant. I will drive further to get a better meal. read more

I came here for dinner with my husband and our friend. We started with the beignets. They tasted like fried dough + a donut had a baby (= delicious!). One of my favorite places to bring people for a good meal that is consistently delicious! The servers are attentive and friendly and I love the outdoor seating and patio while waiting for a table. It's family friendly and we always feel welcome. Every meal here that I've had has been on the mark. My favorite items are the country fried chicken and beignets. Ok, I'll get to the food. But our waiter was outstanding. His easygoing manner complimented his professionalism. Only in linen and silver restaurants have I seen such a well trained pro. He helped make our evening memorial. I ordered the Cajun Grits, and struck gold. It was a perfect blend of Cajun flavors without being overpowered by raw heat. I savored every bite. Food was amazing today! Went with brunch with friends and ordered Blackened sea bass and shrimp with rice, spinach, and tomatoes. I added a serving of sweet potato casserole and everything was served hot and delicious! Was a little wait bc it was very busy today. I arrived at noon and there were already 16 people at the table (it was a birthday party celebration). There were no additional available manager was made aware and the server was aware, they did accommodate us and add 2 chairs to the table but I was literally bumping knees and my left elbow with the lady to my left. Their response was there's no a way to accommodate by placing at another table or adding a table. I wanted to try different appetizers, because of paper space decided to only grab the main course. When the food arrived it not all the temperature I wanted. The grits was still warm and seasoned well. The egg white omelette was almost cold bi tasted great. The biscuit was okay. Would have been better if it were wam or hot. It was a little over cooked. I assume it's to be expected when you have a large table of guests. Would love for that to not be the case. Finished my meal around the 1:11pm. The manager came by to say thank you to the table and other tables. I did tip the server over 50% for my meal for their trouble. They got all our orders correct and out to us. I think if they had offered an adjacent table for a few of us the meal would have been better. The location of Page's Okra Grill in Summerville is spot on. This was my first time seeing this restaurant on the Summerville side. I liked how there was a bar outside for those that prefer to hang outside. Being that I've gone to the Mt.P location several times, I assumed the food would be great. I was disappointed in the food except for the flounder and hush puppies. The collards were too salty and the red rice was too spicy. I'm still in shock because the Mt.P location food has always been good no matter when I've gone. Needless to say, maybe the cook at Page's Okra Grill in Mt.P can assist the Summerville location. Amazing!! We ordered Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes with collard greens. And Fries chicken with red rice and fried okra. It was delicious. And the portions were huge. Our service was amazing. From chicken to seafood to breakfast, everything is always tasty and well seasoned. The staff is friendly, it's a cute space, with plenty of parking - even when it's crazy crowded, you can sit inside, outside, get takeout, or relax on a picnic table while you wait to be seated. Hello Yelpers!! We came to Page's on EASTER SUNDAY! Phew. We planned to meet there at 3/330 PM after church. There was an estimated 2 hr wait...... (she estimated that time but was sure we would be seated sooner because I chose first available). we waited an hour and a half and were seated indoors. Our server was Ace and SHE was AMAZING!! There were nine of us which factored into the wait. We were patient as there was plenty of seating and some games to play outside. The bar area has seating on first come first served. The area around back is hear the water but be warned DO NOT FEED ANYTHING THAT MIGHT COME from the water! We did not see any wildlife. The food was so good and plentiful!! Some highlights: WHOEVER thought to smoke the wings then fry 'em, they are blessed by JESUS!! They were ABSOLUTELY delicious!! The Redneck Egg-rolls (pulled pork in an egg-roll wrapper) were great with the side of pickled okra that comes with it. Note to those who don't eat okra, try it pickled. My husband did not like okra but tried it and he is a fan of it. We had a variety of entrees including fish shrimp and fried pork chops. All were finger licking good! Came here with friends who live in the area. Sooo many excellent options for great southern food. The table shared redneck rolls which had BBQ pork and pimento cheese in a spring roll wrap and served with mustard sauce. We also had beignets served with a key lime custard. Our server was really good. He gave us plenty of time to order and decide. For dinner, I had Ashleigh's Shrimp and Grits. I agree it is award winning. Delicious! My husband ordered the Crab Rice with Fried Shrimp, but he got the crab claws and fried shrimp. He didn't say anything and enjoyed the claws and shrimp very much ! We brought home some of the shrimp and grits as it was a very generous portion. PS. My dad finished the leftovers the next day for lunch and was very happy to enjoy it too!! A visit to Page's on a Saturday evening can be quite challenging. It's a very busy place. Arriving at 5:30 we had an hour wait on the books. Sitting at the bar, overlooking the Kitchen is equal to dinner and a show. The kitchen is absolutely crazy. It is open seating. We found 4 seats right away. Larry the bartender served us quite well and told me they have about 60 employees working this shift. I believed it. I have never been to the Mt P or Moncks Corner but this one is great. Not the best place to go fgg9r brunch if you have food allergies. I thought that I could get chicken and waffles or just pancakes, since I can't eat eggs. Pages Okra Grill in Mt. Pleasant is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed it so much the first night that I went back again the very next night. The honey glazed salmon with sautéed broccolini and fondant potatoes was absolute perfection on the first visit--cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. The second night the broccolini was unfortunately undercooked and hard to chew, but everything else was still outstanding. I also had the loaded pimento cheese and bacon fries, and let me just say--this was by far the best pimento cheese I've ever had. Creamy, flavorful, and perfect with the fries and bacon. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, Pages is top notch. Even with the one small hiccup, it's an easy 5 stars from me. I'll definitely be back!
