I had previously dined at the Mt Pleasant location and was excited to try the new Nexton location, so my wife and I stopped in for an impromptu dinner while we were in town for the evening on business. The parking lot was crowded, which was a good early sign, and the building itself was modern and inviting both inside and out. Unfortunately, from there things did not go smoothly. I gave my name and number to the hostess, who quoted a 20-minute wait. After 30 minutes with no text, I checked back in, but she was heading on break and handed us off to a second hostess. That hostess mispronounced my name, took my number again, and told us there were still 12 parties ahead of us. Another 30 minutes passed, and by that point my wife and I were the only people left waiting. We ended up seating ourselves at two open seats at the outdoor bar, and when I mentioned it to staff, I was told our name and number had never actually made it into the system at all. In total we lost over an hour to what turned out to be a simple tracking failure, handled by three different hostesses along the way. The bar area had more of a sports-bar feel than a restaurant, and the couple seated beside us spent the meal loudly cursing and engaged in PDA, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience for us. To Page's credit, the food itself was genuinely very good, and the portions were generous enough that we couldn't finish our plates. I suspect the kitchen is well run and the front-of-house issues are a byproduct of the location being newer and still working out its systems. I have been here several times and the service is always outstanding. Always with a smile very helpful with questions and suggestions. This is the second time I ordered their grilled Seabass with two sides. Very very good, especially if you're trying to watch your carbs the surroundings are very nice. For dinner I had the fried flounder with fried okra and stewed okra/tomatoes. The fried flounder looked old and was not seasoned. Fried okra was just okay. The best part of the meal was the biscuit. She transferred me to takeout and I got put on hold for over 15 minutes so called back. It was now past 3pm and dinner had started. I told the girl that I couldn't get through to place my lunch order and she says sorry but I have to order from the dinner menu now. She says I have to understand that they are busy. Seems like they are too busy to take takeout orders. That's not a good way to run a business. You should not have to try for half an hour to place an order and then since they are too busy to take your order, you now have to order from the dinner menu. What next, if they don't answer in time for dinner, you'll need to order from the breakfast menu? Sounds like a good business call would be to hire someone to take orders. But instead they make their potential customers mad. So I called the takeout manager and got a recording. It takes a lot to get me to complain about a place but I found this very rude and crazy to be treated like this. They should have still honored the lunch menu. They didn't seem to want my business. I arrived at noon and there were already 16 people at the table (it was a birthday party celebration). There were no additional available manager was made aware and the server was aware, they did accommodate us and add 2 chairs to the table but I was literally bumping knees and my left elbow with the lady to my left. Their response was there's no a way to accommodate by placing at another table or adding a table. I wanted to try different appetizers, because of paper space decided to only grab the main course. When the food arrived it not all the temperature I wanted. The grits was still warm and seasoned well. The egg white omelette was almost cold bi tasted great. The biscuit was okay. Would have been better if it were wam or hot. It was a little over cooked. I assume it's to be expected when you have a large table of guests. Would love for that to not be the case. Finished my meal around the 1:11pm. The manager came by to say thank you to the table and other tables. I did tip the server over 50% for my meal for their trouble. They got all our orders correct and out to us. I think if they had offered an adjacent table for a few of us the meal would have been better. Pages Okra Grill in Mt. Pleasant is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed it so much the first night that I went back again the very next night. The honey glazed salmon with sautéed broccolini and fondant potatoes was absolute perfection on the first visit--cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. The second night the broccolini was unfortunately undercooked and hard to chew, but everything else was still outstanding. I also had the loaded pimento cheese and bacon fries, and let me just say--this was by far the best pimento cheese I've ever had. Creamy, flavorful, and perfect with the fries and bacon. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, Pages is top notch. Even with the one small hiccup, it's an easy 5 stars from me. I'll definitely be back! First Off - The greeting team of employees at the entryway started the vibes with their pleasantries. 2. On our initial visit our server Jessica engagement was AWESOME!!! Then she took our orders, refilled our non-alcoholic beverage and provided us all at the table with lasting smiles. 3. One day while in Summerville I stopped by the Carry-Out window to place a order. Carolyn, was the server that took my order. She was such a pleasant individual that I over order on my take-out order. Her customer service skills far exceeded my expectations and I was internally happy to have met her. 4. During one of our dine-in visit I /we met a manager by the name of Sasha because she was walking to the various guest dining tables asking "IF EVERYTHING WAS ALRIGHT WITH THE FOOD." Well after exchanging a few complement about the food, I quickly realize that Ms. Sasha genuinely cared about the customers experience and was 100% vetted into making certain we were satisfied with our food. I liked how there was a bar outside for those that prefer to hang outside. Being that I've gone to the Mt.P location several times, I assumed the food would be great. I was disappointed in the food except for the flounder and hush puppies. The collards were too salty and the red rice was too spicy. I'm still in shock because the Mt.P location food has always been good no matter when I've gone. Needless to say, maybe the cook at Page's Okra Grill in Mt.P can assist the Summerville location. Hello Yelpers!! We came to Page's on EASTER SUNDAY! Phew. We planned to meet there at 3/330 PM after church. There was an estimated 2 hr wait...... (she estimated that time but was sure we would be seated sooner because I chose first available). we waited an hour and a half and were seated indoors. Our server was Ace and SHE was AMAZING!! There were nine of us which factored into the wait. We were patient as there was plenty of seating and some games to play outside. The bar area has seating on first come first served. The area around back is hear the water but be warned DO NOT FEED ANYTHING THAT MIGHT COME from the water! We did not see any wildlife. The food was so good and plentiful!! Some highlights: WHOEVER thought to smoke the wings then fry 'em, they are blessed by JESUS!! They were ABSOLUTELY delicious!! The Redneck Egg-rolls (pulled pork in an egg-roll wrapper) were great with the side of pickled okra that comes with it. Note to those who don't eat okra, try it pickled. My husband did not like okra but tried it and he is a fan of it. We had a variety of entrees including fish shrimp and fried pork chops. All were finger licking good!
