Let's take some stuff out of the way #1 it was a Wednesday…read moreand Thursday morning so no other costumers were there #2 I am handicapped but there treatment of me is a big point in there favor #3 I did have my 9yr old son with me as well all caveats aside, i've was going to Top Dollar Recycling 5-6 years ago before i became handicapped and they were just as kind and professional then as they are now. Not only did the workers help unload my van of recyclables (i did have the recyclables sorted a bit first) they re-sorted the items into the different categories and by doing so i actually made a chunk of change more. (like 25-50 dollars) they did not have to do this it would have been easy for them to lump everything together as i had sorted the items and i'd of never known the difference but no they kindly helped and made short work of sorting all the recyclables i had brought with me. the facility is clean (as a scrap yard can be, everything in it place) and professional looking. they even have some really neat nick-knacks placed around that people have recycled , like 4 solid brass horses and a small suite of brass armor. the technicians are bi-lingual and communicate efficiently with each others and costumers (in my experience) to get paid you take the recite the technicians give you up front to an office window where a kind voice gets you a check quick as a flash (the window is blacked out for their safety so no faces just voices) and off you roll sown to the bank happy as can be. You used to be able to drop these off at Best Buy for free, but apparently a few years ago they decided to start charging $29.95 per piece. Yikes. $60 to "donate" a couple of old PCs. Wth?? That's when I finally started doing some searches and found this place! Check out their website for specifics as far what they accept and what they don't accept. It's pretty straightforward. There are a few items that do have a charge but its only a few items and everything is clearly laid out. I called to confirm because that felt a little "too good to be true" lol The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful and basically told me I could drop it off between sometime during normal business hours and you can even arrange to drop off on Saturday (by appointment). Anyways, I threw the monitors in the car and drove down to the place. I just pulled near the end of the dock and was greeted by who I assume was the guy I spoke to on the phone. This guy helped me unload the 2 PCs and was very nice and friendly. He explained that they drill holes through the hard drive and all that and that they don't refurb the drives at all. Sounds good to me! After all of those years of holding on to those things and Nevada State Recycle made it all too easy! 5 stars experience all the way.

I decided to recycle and found this place close to my home. I was confused as to where to go and what to do, but the workers there were very helpful. The alum sold for 50c a pound, so I made $4. I felt like I worked too hard ;) for the money, but that didn't count really, because of my intention. Next time, I will know what to do, which actually is simple. The overall experience was amazing, seeing the different material piles and the equipment.

I arrived a little after 3:45 PM before closing, but was denied service. If the actual cutoff time is earlier than what's posted, it would be helpful and more respectful to customers' time to clearly state that. A notice indicating a 3:45 PM cutoff would help avoid confusion and unnecessary trips. (I went to two different Sunset Recycling down that were down the street from each other and I was denied at both of them)

If I had went to my original recycling place I would've gotten way more than just ten dollars. I'm mad and upset and I should've waited for my recycling place to open. Don't come here if your recycling for money. It's a scam. This place needs to do better.
