I had the gum procedure + got new crowns for my front top teeth here at Confident. Here's the thing... I've been ignoring the fact that my front teeth needed to be fixed bad due to a bad dentist's experience. Until one day, I had to take my kids for their dentist appt and met with Dr. Cesar who have so much passion on what he does. He was very friendly, gentle and patience with my kids especially with my autistic son Colin. He did not want to stay in the chair, but somehow Dr. Cesar and his team helped to calm him down and stayed there. I just knew that I wanted him to be our family's dentist, and to look over my teeth. :) Well, I'm glad he did! Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The way my pain and concerns were handled was extremely upsetting. I felt that my pain was not taken seriously, and I did not feel that the practice genuinely cared about my well-being after such a significant financial investment. As a Spanish-speaking patient, I also felt that I was treated differently and with less respect because of my language and background. I felt discriminated against as a Hispanic/Spanish-speaking patient, which made an already difficult experience even worse. When a patient spends more than $16,000 on dental treatment, they should be able to expect quality care, proper communication, compassion, and respect--not to feel ignored when they are experiencing pain. I would strongly encourage anyone considering extensive treatment here to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and consider getting a second opinion before spending a significant amount of money. His assistant, Sejja, attempted to make the temporary crown 2 times on the first visit, but she never could do it, so she had to let Aniah finish the job. Sejja did a really bad job, and the temporary was just barely hanging on the tooth. Two days later, part of the crown came off, so I had to return to the clinic. During this visit, Sejja attempted 5 times to make the temporary, but she still couldn't do it, so she turned it over, once again, to another person to finish the job. In my opinion, this is total incompetence! I have had 10 crowns made at other clinics, and I never experienced this problem before. However, it gets worse from here: Sejja made the mold for the permanent crown, and she also messed that up. The crown has an indention at the top, that makes it extremely difficult to floss the area. When I floss, it creates pain and bleeding in the gum line. She also messed up on the night guard, and it's a difficult fit. This young lady messed up on EVERYTHING she did! I have never experienced this before at any other dentist! I told Arjun Parikh, and he laughed in my face, and he came across to me as arrogant and narcissistic. He told me he stands behind the faulty work that Sejja did. I went to another dentist, and the new dentist told me the tooth needs to be extracted, because I have bone loss, and that I would need a bone graft. THEREFORE, JOHNS CREEK DENTAL STUDIO MADE A CROWN FOR A TOOTH THAT NEEDS TO BE EXTRACTED. I BELIEVE THIS IS DENTAL MALPRACTICE, AND I AM CURRENTLY HAVING THIS In review, here are the problems that Johns Creek Dental created for me: 1. Pain in the gumline, between the two upper right molars, that gets much worse when I eat certain foods that get trapped between these teeth. Before this permanent crown, I never had a problem with food getting stuck between these teeth. 2. Pain between the two upper right molars from flossing in that area. The pain can become pretty bad. 3. Inflammation between those two teeth, mostly caused from flossing, but also from eating. 4. Extreme difficulty flossing between those two teeth, because Johns Creek Dental Studio created a jagged area at the top of the crown, so the dental floss doesn't glide smoothly. Out of the 10 total crowns I have had done from other dentists, this is the only crown that has this problem, so Johns Creek cannot try to say that this problem is normal. 5. A bulky crown that doesn't feel natural, as compared to the other nine crowns, from other dentists. 6. The gum line between those two molars bleeds very easily when I floss that area. I never had this problem with the bleeding before Johns Creek Dental Studio made this crown. I will strongly encourage everyone to stay away from Johns Creek Dental Studio!

The Core Issue: Unauthorized Billing Prior to my appointment, I specifically declined fluoride treatment in writing. I did not receive the treatment. Despite this clear written directive, Jones Bridge Dental processed a charge on my card for the service. 2. Operational Incompetence and Careless Inquiry Handling The absolute breakdown in customer care began when I contacted the billing department. I called and left a message specifically for the billing team, and Marissa was the one who called me back from that message. If she represents the standard of their billing department, it is terrifying. Instead of performing a basic review of the file, Marissa was entirely lazy with her approach. She confidently insisted that no error had occurred and attempted to attribute the balance to my pending insurance claim for my routine cleaning. She provided this false administrative explanation before even investigating the transaction. Only after I challenged her assertion did she finally do her job, review the account, and explicitly confirm that the practice had billed me for a service never rendered. The error was acknowledged and undisputed, yet rather than taking ownership to fix it, she immediately wiped her hands of the situation and handed me off. 3. Unauthorized Withholding of Funds The office stated a refund request would be submitted, but that Heartland Dental will not release it while I have open insurance claims. That distinction makes the billing issue more concerning. This is not an ordinary account credit created during insurance reconciliation. I specifically declined fluoride treatment in writing, did not receive it, was nevertheless charged for it on my HSA card, and the office acknowledged the error.
