In the old Noodles spot, and it doesn't look much different, inside or out. You order at the table, and since I was the only one there when they opened on a weekday they brought my food out, and checked on me; doubt that happens when they're busy. When you're done you go up and pay (this should really happen on the tablet where you order; I almost forgot.) There are a few condiments on the table and more, plus some pickles, etc., on a sidebar. Menu is fairly small, but if you like Korean, or Asian in general, there are good options. I started with fried potstickers (mandu,) which were crispy outside and stuffed inside. Tasty, a nice app. Then I went with meat jajangmyeon, noodles with a thick savory sauce plus onions. And I think pork in the sauce, in addition to the pieces on top. The ones on top were thick slivers, but there were also chunks, buried in the sauce I think. I tasted some of the slivers and they were nice, tender, lightly sauteed. I mixed the sauce in, added a little heat (they have chili powder and sriracha,) and dug in. Huge portion. Plenty of noodles. And plenty of meat, though you can get extra. I ended up with enough left over to fill a small styrofoam container, and was stuffed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It's a chain, but feels locally owned. Review by a Korean who knows authentic Korean-Chinese food. I was really disappointed with this location. I love Paik's Noodle and had a great experience at the West Valley City, Utah branch, so I was excited to try the Columbus location. Unfortunately, the food here was not close to the same quality. I ordered the jjamppong, and it lacked the deep, smoky "wok fire" flavor that makes Korean-Chinese food so good. The broth tasted flat, and the vegetables were either missing or served in very small amounts. Even the pickled radish did not seem fresh or in good condition. As someone Korean and familiar with authentic Korean-Chinese food, I think jjamppong is one of the main dishes that shows the quality of the kitchen. It requires good fire control, proper broth flavor, and well-cooked ingredients. If a location cannot execute that dish well, I do not feel confident trying the rest of the menu. For anyone curious about what I mean, compare photos of Paik's Noodle in West Valley City, Utah with this Columbus location. The difference in quality and presentation is obvious. The overall setup also felt extremely self-service. Aside from water, there was very little service, and I even had to return my own bowl, cup, water bottle, and plate to the dish return area. That made the experience feel even less worth it. I understand every branch can be different, but this was far below what I expected from Paik's Noodle. Paik's Noodles was so good. I felt like I was in a Korean grandma's kitchen. It wasn't just the food, it was the experience. The ladies who work here are so nice. You will feel welcomed here. Once seated, you order your food from your table . Water, cups, bowls, sauces and sides are all self service after. Once your number is called you head up to pick up your food. We ordered 4 dumplings, spicy chicken, and beef noodles for 2 people. It was enough to easily feed 4. Everything I ate was delicious. The noodles and the broth make me happy just thinking about them. And my lips still have a small tingle from that delicious chicken. Parking is free and plenty of spaces outside. I will be back soon! read more

There's plenty of parking in the lot and a decent amount of seating inside. It is seat yourself and there are tablets at each table to order from and you can also order up front. It's a bright space, inviting, and lively! It felt very homey and cozy. There was a lot of families and groups when we came in. We got the Stir Fried Jajangmyeon and Jjampoong. The dishes came out hot and fresh with plenty of toppings in each. The flavors were incredible and delicious! The plates are pretty hefty and good for the price. There's a self-service condiment and utensils bar towards the cash register but each table also has a few things. Everything was easy to order and to get. Once you order on your tablet, be sure to pay attention to the front for your number to be put up. You go to the front and pick it up at the counter. Staff was incredibly kind and so nice! They all were very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this place for an authentic and delicious meal, delicious food, and incredible staff. Really yummy Korean/Chinese spot in Columbus if you're craving Korean noodles. I especially liked the Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong. The noodles are long and chewy, and the flavors taste authentic. We also tried the sweet and sour pork but I didn't enjoy it much since it wasn't too crispy and mainly tasted like batter. They also have a self-serve water/utensils/bowls/danmuji. However, you have to pick up your food from the counter when your table number appears on the screen and you have to clean up your dishes at the end. Not a big deal, but something to expect so you're not surprised. read more

Despite Paik's Noodle is a chain, but it is the first store in Ohio. My friend had the Spicy Shrimp and I had the Spicy Chicken with Rice along with the Dumplings. You order from the table, but pay at the counter. I had a can of Diet Coke, but they should fountain drinks for unlimited drinks refills. The Spicy Chicken was very spicy, the Spicy Shrimp had the right amount of heat and some sweetness. Great service as well. I will be checking out Paik's Noodle again for Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork, will try the Korean dishes as well too. read more

Tried a few things from the menu and all of them are pretty solid. I wish they're spicier but they have gochugaru on each table. Fried wings are crispy, noodles have good flavor and chewiness. Jajang sauce not overly sweet which I prefer. More of self service restaurant where you order and pick up your food at the counter. For what it is, the lady working the registry is pretty attentive. Holding back on 5 star because they don't have the full menu yet. Some, like the stir fried Jjampong and meat jajangmyeon are still coming soon. It would nice if they were more transparent about allergens as my fiance ordered the spicy chicken and it was topped with almonds (which I'm allergic to), but thankfully the cream of shrimp was safe for me (though it does contain peanuts which are also not mentioned). This place closes at 9:30pm but they stop dine in service around 9pm. read more

I was greeted with warm and friendly service--from helpful ordering guidance to being directed to their sides bar, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was clean and organized. I ordered the Stir-fried Jajangmyeon without squid. After a few bites, I noticed a small amount of squid in the dish, despite specifically asking for it to be excluded. I usually don't make a big deal out of things like this, but it prompted me to dig through the rest of the dish. Unfortunately, there was very little of the proteins listed: just a few small strips of pork and some tiny, rehydrated baby prawns--not the shrimp pictured or expected. The only thing present in abundance was vegetables. When I brought up the issue, I was told, "It's just a picture," which didn't exactly help. For $21, I expected a more accurate and balanced dish. Order at the table. Then you can pay after you eat. We did it wrong this time, we ordered at the register instead I thought the tablets were where u had to pay with a card and we had cash. Food was good but on the expensive side. Only thing that turned me off was they call your table number and you pick up your food.. well the table next to me did that and they happen to give them the wrong item of dumplings and the lady came to their table after awhile of them having the dumplings and chastised them for having the dumplings and then proceeded to take them from them. At this point they already had them why take them from them and then speak to them like you were scolding them. Apparently they were our dumplings and I almost feel like they gave those dumplings to us after putting them back in fryer. Just cut your loss and make new dumplings. It was very odd. And it was the establishments fault for including the dumplings in their order. They just picked up what was there when their number was called. read more

I ordered sweet-and-sour pork based on the picture on the menu online. All I got was pork in the photograph. There are several different kinds of vegetable in the sweet-and-sour sauce that accompanied it in a separate container there were two slivers of carrot they couldn't have even been an eighth of an inch thick. I called and talked to them about it and they said all they give us pork and I said well then why does your menu have picture of vegetables and the pleasant woman said I'm looking at the menu and you're right there should be vegetables... So if you order sweet-and-sour or anything make sure you get what you think you're getting. Our other meal of Noodles was just above mediocre. I know it's a new business.
