Classic Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle Soup
    Courtney P.

Today we stopped in for lunch. I got the Yunan crossing bridge noodles for $22. It came with a bowl of hot broth and 13 toppings. If there are 1-2 toppings (like squid or quail eggs for example that you don't like) you can switch them for something else. You also get a big bowl of noodles to dump in your bowl. There are instructions at the table that say which items you should cook first (like the beef). One thing I wish tasted better was the broth - it could have been more flavorful. The ambiance was very nice and professional and they had tons of Asian artifacts around that you could look at. I'd love to come again and get ramen or another bowl dish. This is a unique place on bethel!

HELLO DELICIOUS NOODLE SOUP! Ok so a few weeks back, when we checked out Mjomii's soft opening nearby, we saw Yun Nan Crossing Bridge Noodle Soup and immediately got it in our radar to check out. Yesterday eas the day! We came at a super weird pre-dinner time and we were the only people in the resto. It was fine by us but note that there was no ambient sounds...no music, tv...it was very quiet which is actually nice but just be aware of it. The young woman who was our server was so nice. We ordered waters to drink and they came without ice. Again, no biggie but different. Mr. ordered mala spicy pork chop noodle soup and I ordered spicy beef noodle soup. All of the soups have a different broth base with a protein you choose and a whole tray of little bits and bobs to add to your soup. We didn't know what a lot of them were but everything was so delicious we didn't care! The soup is HOT. Like almost too hot to eat fast though we both tried The spice level was great on both but two things I especially loved were the chicken bits we got on the tray and the mala broth. I think the depth of flavor was a bit greater in the mala broth than my spicy beef broth but I could t fault either -- they are that good! Everything was hot and fresh. The beef chunks I got were very fatty but I was sort of into it. The fatty bits just added that much more flavor on top of the nutmeg spice it had. I seriously can't wait to work my way through the menu!! Absolutely coming back! If you're a fan of noodle soups or authentic Chinese and/or ethnic food, this is a must-try place!

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for awhile now and finally went to try it for the first time with my parents last night. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Salt & Pepper Chicken for our appetizers and both were delicious! I especially loved the chicken, it was so juicy and perfectly cooked/seasoned. I ordered the Classic Crossing Bridge Noodle Soup and it was really good. Similar to hot pot in the sense that you cook the meat and seafood in the hot broth first and then add the veggies and noodles after. It was simple and a different experience. I would come back again. I'd like to try their other noodle dishes like their ramen or udon! Service was quick.

Came and tried this place due to a friend's recommendation! We had the classic rice noodle soup with crispy salt and pepper chicken. Absolutely fantastic! The soup was light and had a mixture of things I don't expect to be in it, like corn, a quail egg? and a chicken leg LOL. The salt and pepper chicken was also really good! For both me and my sister, we couldn't really finish the chicken. We were too full from the soup. The menu isn't large but I'm unfamiliar with this type of cuisine. My friend says it's from her region in Southeast China (I think). Love that there is so much more to try! Can't wait to return!

Haven't been back for awhile and still love the experience here. I got my favorite Tomato Flavored Soup Rice Noodle. It comes with fatty beef as the protein. And I highly recommend to add on the pork chop as well. They are deep fried and marinated into the special sauce. I also got the Teriyaki Cutter Fish as well. It is slight fried and drizzled with the teriyaki sauce. Love it.

Delicious food and ambiance the ramen broth is so velvety and makes you feel good. Also very fast and efficient

We were in the strip mall area and looking for a quick dinner. How lucky we were to stumble upon this hidden gem! You pick the protein and soup flavor you want and out comes a wonderful bowl of hot pot. Love the little sides and everything was so flavorful. They do a brisk takeout business as we were the only ones seated in the restaurant that night. Service was fast and friendly and the food delicious.

It will be our first time and last time. We order 5 different bowl of noodle BUT 3 of the base tasted the same AND super salty. It was my first time ever not finishing my soup, coming from someone who love soup. Service was SUPER bad (the old lady's server). When asked for chili, she took the whole container from kitchen. With covid going around, I am unsure it is hygiene to do so (see picture below). Overall: I will NOT recommend this restaurant.

Reopen now! I highly recommend their sour soup and fat beef noodles. In addition, you can only order their takeout through the Fantuan delivery service.

Friend suggested this place ans im always down for some noodles. Didn't realize that was pretty much all they had with appetizers. Appetizers were good. Pork steam buns were fluffy and the sauce was tasty but I was lacking some meat. The Salt and Pepper chicken was dry (almost seemed as if the chicken was old) ans did not taste of either salt or pepper. It did however taste of cinnamon, which was not my favorite surprise. Homemade dumplings were delicate and tasty. I think I would have preferred the pork but the triple flavor was ok. Seems that they blend all three items into a meatball so you couldn't really discern much but I still got plenty of mushroom, which was not the primary flavor I wanted. Teriyaki cuttlefish was brought to us by mistake so we didn't get to taste it but I included the picture for reference. I must have forgotten to take a picture of the broth but it was somewhat viscous and had a really good flavor. Even the spicy broth had no spice for me but I tend to have a high tolerance. The noodles were my biggest disappointment. I know rice noodles don't always have the most flavor but these tasted particularly bland. There was a good amount of them but they offset the good flavor of everything else. Overall, this place seemed authentic and beloved by many but I probably wouldn't go back anytime soon. Just not enough variety and the soup wasn't spectacular enough to bring me back.

Their seating arrangement are stools so if you need back support, you probably have to sit at the bar or booths. The Red Oil Dumplings (pork, shrimp, sichuan vinegar, cilantro) were my favorite. The dough to filling ratio was perfect. I was expecting them to be a little spicy but they didn't have any heat imo. I wasn't impressed with the ramen. Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!
