Food quality is as expected from Paik's Noodle. Consistent with other locations. This location is more seated, dine in, compared to some other locations where it's more self-serve. Staff were very friendly and explained everything. Only thing was that the pickled radish was kept behind counter so had to request for more instead of being self serve like other locations. Very stingy... was given 1 plate with 3 radish for 2 people to share... we ordered 2 bowls of jajangmyeon so ate least should've gotten 2 plates. And if 1 plate... more than 3 slices? Asked for more and was given also another 6 slices for 2 people. Just felt like they could've been more generous considering the bowl is pretty large. Then, wasn't given tap water (some tables had it, we weren't given any), on the menu had bottled water and sodas. I had a nice time going to Paik's Noodle. They have a tap to order machine at your table so you don't have to wait in line to order at the counter. I will say if you want to customize your order you can't so you'll still have to order at the counter. I asked for no bean sprouts on my chicken fried rice and they were accommodating. Whenever I am craving jjajangmyeon, Paik's is my go to! The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is nice and clean with lots of tables and seats. I have been here 3 times so far and the quality of the food has been consistent. The jjajangmyeon noodles are plump and chewy, and the jjajang sauce is rich and savory. The tangsuyuk (served with sweet and sour sauce) is crispy on the outside, has an addictive chew, and pairs well with the noodles. The service is great, all thanks to the kind and attentive staff. Now that time has passed, I have been able to try their other menu items which are so delicious! I've had the Jajjang Rice, soy garlic fried chicken, and Jjampong! All are delicious! I will say the jjampong was too salty for me but I am more sensitive to salt than the average person. The jajjang rice is so good with the omelette on top! It was hearty, little sweet, and savory! It really hits when you're craving something comfy like eggs and rice and adds an extra pizzazz! The fried chicken might just be my favorite - so crunchy and juicy! Plus their wings are pretty big. Customer service is good - well rounded. I would just say it is a bit inconsistent. When I go here with friends and family. we clearly are not and therefore do not look Korean, we get less or no banchan/side dishes like Kimchi and pickled radish. That disappoints us because we love those side dishes so much! If they are worried that we won't eat it or will just toss it, maybe to have consistent service, just ask! The last time we went, our server asked if it was our first time and when we said we were repeat customers, she instantly asked if we wanted more radish which I appreciate but I think it should be standard. Last thing I will mention are the punch cards they give out. My friend and I both had one because its been done before; we each get a stamp. However, this last time, they said only one punch card per table even though we paid separately. Both had that rich, savory black bean sauce and paired perfectly with the crunchy, yellow radish. The radish was great palate cleanser between bites. The Sweet and Sour Pork, on the other hand, was a 6/10 for me. I liked that it was served with the sauce on the side, keeping the pork crispy instead of soggy. The sauce was much sweeter than I thought it would be, which didn't quite suit my taste. That said, I did enjoy the variety of vegetables in the sauce, especially my favorite--wood ear mushrooms. We had the sweet and sour pork and and jajangmyeon. The sweet and sour pork came out fast, crispy and dipping sauce was great! The jajangmyeon took longer to prepare for some reason but our waitress offered a free drink for the wait. Their sweet and spicy wings are also cooked so well that it's not a chore to get all the meat off the bone. Their service has always been very attentive and polite.
