Very disappointing experience for the price. I had a dry pedicure and there was minimal attention to detail--my nails were left misshapen with barely any filing or shaping. I also didn't receive a proper foot massage, and the foot scrub wasn't fully removed and was left on my feet. The regular polish selection was very limited (around 20 colors that were basically the same shades). On top of that, the polish started chipping in less than two days, which suggests poor application. Overall, this felt rushed and below standard compared to much more affordable salons nearby. I won't be returning. Consider going elsewhere. This place is highly overrated. read more

Best Dry Mani & Pedi in LA! It isn't easy to find nail technicians with the proper expertise to work with a nail drill and give a really good dry manicure & pedicure. The nail technicians at this salon have mastered it! No heat burns from harsh drilling or cuts on the cuticles from misestimating dry skin from live skin. Irena provides a detailed and meticulous cuticle cleaning that lasts a very long time. That is why I love this place. Versus the way my cuticles start growing back like weeds in just 3 days of receiving a typical wet manicure at other places. I've even noticed a significant difference between the dry pedicure and the wet pedicure. The soles of my feet are softer longer. The salon even carries Vegan nail polish from my favorite brand, "The Manicurist" This is my favorite nail salon by far! Irena makes my natural nails look so good and healthy everytime. I booked my appointment and was excited about my mani /pedi. On my way to my appointment, I was hit from behind while driving on the 405, and could no longer make it to my appointment (obviously). There were four vehicles involved in the accident, the police were on their way. A few hours later, after dealing with insurance, my job, and getting a check-up (I'm 8 months pregnant, so the accident had me very stressed), I received a text message from Paint Bar that I would be charged $70 for the missed appointment. When I called and spoke to a male at Paint Bar, I was told that because I didn't cancel my appointment 24 hours ahead of time, whatever the "excuse" was, I had to pay for the full amount of the service. They were able to squeeze in a manicure to cover some of the time and "save me money", but they were not able to fill the pedicure time, so I had to lay $70. He told me that this is how the "girls" get paid. Not once did he say anything about his business, but it was all about how the girls are left without pay due to a customer's misfortune. I told him that as the business owner, he should take care of his employees when emergencies like multi-vehicle accidents happen and customers legitimately cannot make it. I offered to send him the information about the police report and images of the four vehicles. Nonetheless, they still charged me the $70 because of their "policy." This is the worst customer service that I have ever seen for any beauty service in Los Angeles. Now, in top of dealing with the aftermath of this collision, they've taken my money, and shown me that not only do they not care about their customers, but their "girls" don't get paid when a valid emergency occurs and the employee ultimately pays the price where an owner should step in with empathy and compassion for life's most unfortunate moments. I loved their services previously, but will never again give this man or either of his establishments a dime. I will take my money somewhere that cares for its customers and its employees. read more

Be advised of their business practices. I booked an appointment--I was a regular. The appt always takes 1.5 hours. Always. 30 minutes before my appt they called and said they were running 15-20 minutes late. On any other day that would have been fine, but on this particular day I had zero wiggle room---I was catching a flight. I was literally on the freeway heading to the appt when they called. I told them if they were running late I would have to reschedule. I literally jumped off the freeway and turned around. Then they text and say---oh, on second thought--they can take me at my scheduled time. But by then I was no longer en route and could not get there in time. Because of their screw up my appointment was changed yet guess what they did---they CHARGED ME FULL PRICE CLAIMING I CANCELLED MY APPT. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. This had to be one of the worst "russian" manicures i've ever received. The salon is super cute and clean, i was so excited to be able to snag a last minute appt. When i sat down, i noticed my technician wasn't European so i asked to make sure i was getting a Russian style manicure. She was snarky & explained Russian manicures "aren't a culture but a technique". I assumed she got this stereotypical remark often. I apologized and explained that i just wanted to make sure she wasn't renting a chair from the salon but actually salon wide training on the technique. The process was very familiar to other e-file manicures i've gotten, however the technique she had was not good. My cuticles were ragged, i gathered she was fairly new at using the e-file technique. When she confirmed the polishes and gels they use are European, i thought at least the gel will last on my nails and i could over look the poor job she did on my cuticles (which is the highlight of the e-file technique but oh well) i walked out of there fairly pleased. Fast forward to a few days later, my nails started to chip! They've been chipping daily, but not just on the tip of my nail but in random places around my cuticles area. My manicure only lasted about a week. Typically, they will last 3+ weeks. I see some pretty good reviews and i can only assume they booked with master manicurists, i made a last minute appt which explains why i was able to get a last minute one. If you take a chance here, i would say book with a master (only 2 ladies were not european), don't get excited about a last minute appt. They all DO NOT have the same experience and knowledge. read more

Happily Went back a 2nd time. Nails looked very good when I left (magnetic polish) although I noticed my cuticles were sore- I got a few pokes (one bled) during the appt. Well - the following 2 weeks were rough/ I got infected cuticles on 4 nails (3 on my left hand, one on my right). I got the painful infections to resolve by using antibiotic ointment for a couple days. Then my thumb gel peeled off and broke my nail. I now have had hangnails form on 5 of my nails that I've had to trim. I thought I had found my forever salon. Don't think l'll go back. So disappointed. read more

This nail salon experience was by far the BEST I have ever had! I am in awe of how detail-oriented, patient and kind my nail tech Lena was. She was friendly from the start and went above and beyond to help me decide and try on 3 different base colors for my French manicure before choosing the best one. She then proceeded to give me the best manicure of my life, taking her time to make my nails look like something out of a magazine! She was great to talk to during the process as well. For the pedicure, she helped me again choose a color and made my feet feel baby soft. You have made a loyal customer!
