LOVE THIS PLACE!! I scheduled an appointment with Tiffany, the nail salon's owner, and when I arrived, I was immediately impressed with the salon's relatively fresh and cute interior design. The salon was really clean and sanitized, and I had no trouble with disturbance. I see very hard working ladies working actively within the shop. While Tiffany is performing my gel pedicure, and I notice she is really attentive to detail, making sure everything is flawless, and takes her time, which I am very pleased with. Her work ethic is incredible, as is her time management, considering I went during peak hours. Overall, Tiffany did an excellent job on my nails, and I am really pleased with them. Agh unfortunately I don't think I will be coming back here. The good thing is they were able to accept a walk in for a gel pedicure and gel manicure. I added French tip and a scrub. However, they originally quoted me $10 more than what I calculated. After asking them to recalculate, it turns out I was right. The pedicurist also cut me twice when cutting my cuticles :(. The French tip was not even on my pedicure, though my manicure came out fine. As for retention, it's about 7 days after my appointment and my gel manicure is already starting to chip/peel. Finally, while the shop wasn't particularly dirty, it also wasn't particularly clean and I think I prefer my nail salons to be on the cleaner and newer looking side. read more

I usually get my nails done by Tiffany and she's fantastic but last Saturday I got my nails done by a different woman and I am NOT satisfied with the quality. However, I will start with the pros since I do plan to come back and give them another chance. Pros: shape was perfect. The nail tech was very patient with me when I changed my mind about the color I wanted. My pedicure is and always is fantastic. The massage was amazing and the attention to detail was great. CONS: the woman doing my manicure repeatedly tried to get me to do a gel top coat when I specifically asked for the SNS top coat when I booked my appointment over the phone and before she began my nails. She told me that it would take 30 minutes to dry which was not true. It normally takes 2 minutes at other salons but whatever top coat they use took 10 minutes and was not shiny. I ended up asking for a gel top coat because I did not like how dull my nails looked. She told me that they are the professionals and that I should have listened to her. I wish that this salon had a better SNS top coat because I prefer to stay away from UV light if possible. The gel started to peel 2 days after getting my nails done. Lastly, and this is the most disappointing, I only received a total of 2 layers of dip powder (the color). Normally, there are 2-3 layers of a colorless base dip powder that is applied before the color powder. My nail tech did not apply any base layers, just 2 layers of the color. My nails lasted an entire 2 days before cracking. Usually they last 3-4 weeks with no chips when I have gotten dip powder at other salons. I will not write this salon off just yet but I'm very unhappy with having spent over $55 plus tip on a dip powder manicure that did not even last a full week. read more

BEST. NAILS. EVER. I am an absolute fool & had such a busy week with finals that I never took photographs of my nails. They were F L A W L E S S. I came in having bitten several of my nails (I mean, umm, they broke off, yeah) & the others were longer & the employee who's name I unfortunately forgot shaped them to be even & square- the damage was fully repaired. I can't get long nails for my work at a hospital so I got gel (I think?) nails. They were just absolutely stunning. My favourite manicure I've ever had in my entire life. I get my manicures done at Ting's Nail Art Studio and she's amazing! However she doesn't do pedicures so when I need to do a pedicure I have to find a place for that. It's been a struggle to find a place that lives up to my high standards. This place just opened a year ago but I'm just now discovering it. I love that they take walk in clients. All the equipment looks brand new. They have lots of different colors. I like that they wore gloves during the treatment and they have the disposable lining in the tubs. The base pedicure was $27 but then with the callous removal, gel removal and this sugar scrub thing it was $50. But still a great price. The woman that worked on me was named Tina and she was fantastic! I feel bad because I had to tip with my card. So if you come don't forget to bring cash to tip! Horrible experience. During my pedicure the lady broke my entire toenail off and told me if I wanted it fixed it would be "extra money." I said glue with suffice and she said okay that is still extra...extra money for a drop of nail glue that is insane. She then also told me lotion is "extra money" as well. My "pedicure" was 15 minutes in total, my feet were in the water for about 30 seconds, and I paid $50. read more

My usual nail place is closed so I decided to try a new place that opened nearby. I called and she told me to come right away. I only had to wait a few minutes before being seen. The place has around 5 chairs and 3 tables. They have only been open for a few months so all the equipment looks new. The woman who did my nails was nice and did a great job removing the thick dip nails I had on before. I think my nails ended up far from my inspiration photo. There are some similarities, but not the look I was going for. She suggested I use a glitter powder on the design, but failed to mention that it would be an additional cost prior to putting it on my fingernails. It wasn't clear what the powder was. I thought it was a dip, but I noticed she placed it in with a brush so I think it was acrylic. Separate from the glitter, the design does not look like the one that I showed her. It's not depicted, but the design on each hand do not match. One is much larger than the other. I also noticed that the glitter doesn't goto my cuticle on my ring finger. I was also left with glitter stuck to my cuticles and fingers. It was getting busier by the time I was almost done, so maybe she was feeling a bit rushed. Some of the girls near me looked like regulars and were satisfied with their services. I saw a lady extend her foot massage 15 minutes and it looked very relaxing. My first and last service with them. I made an appointment by calling earlier the same day for dip manicure and gel pedicure at 6pm. I came by 5:45. Around 6:10 I was taken in for the pedicure. And I was given colors to choose the dip for the manicure at the beginning of the pedicure. Around 6:30 I asked if my manicure is still getting done. To which I heard "Come tomorrow. The person who does dip in not in today". You can imagine my surprise. I asked if someone could do a gel manicure instead, since I don't have time to come tomorrow. While they were talking a new customer walked in and they took her. Offering me to wait until someone gets free. Anyway one of the most confusing experiences you could have at the nail salon. OMG! So I've been here twice now and both times I received 10 out of 10 service from Jenny and Kay. They did an incredible job on my nails and toes, had such an attention to detail and were so precise, and make sure I was satisfied with the end result. She took me right at my appointment time. Sally (I think that's her name) was my tech for my session. I picked a color for my nails, but once it got applied, we noticed it was too transparent. Sally stopped and asked if we should get a different color. Tiffany stepped in and started helping Sally look for a good color to match what I wanted. Honestly when I saw that my nail tech was a lot older than everyone else I wanted to ask if I could get her switched. But I didn't want to be mean and I thought it was too premature of a thought for it to be justified. Most older Asian women in this business are very impatient and rude- and she did not prove me wrong. She was obviously pretty unfriendly but that didn't bother me, until she became rude. She asked me what color I wanted and I told her I was torn between a few colors. All I said was "hmm" and she said "Hurry! I'm busy! I don't have time!" I ended up choosing the color closest to me and she did my nails so fast it ended in 10 minutes. I should have reminded her that I was a customer too. She also dumped out cuticle oil on my hands to massage it which was interesting. I honestly didn't want to tip as I always tip 20% but I ended up tipping about 13% but she added another dollar for "service charge" which she didn't tell me about until the very last minute. My color barely shows because she yelled at me and I was rushed. Just avoid the old person there with a pixie haircut. Ruined my mood! read more
