My friend recommended this place a few months back and it has become my regular nail spot. Sophia is wonderful! The first time I came she asked me questions about myself and has been able to help me pick out colors and styles I would not have thought of. As a toddler mom, I also appreciate that she is always on time and efficient - I am in and out with a gel mani in under an hour. The salon itself is very clean. Parking is a little difficult as it is on Main but I always find a spot in the neighborhood. read more

I had been going to this salon for several months and exclusively got gel manicures there. Looking back, I became concerned about their removal process. Every time they removed my gel manicure, they seemed to file away not only the gel polish but also the entire base layer underneath. They also aggressively buffed/sanded my nails before applying new gel, supposedly to help the manicure last longer. After finally taking a break from gel, I discovered how much damage had been done. My nails are now paper-thin, extremely weak, and constantly breaking. The top layers of my natural nails have been filed away and are severely damaged. I trusted this salon with the health of my nails, and unfortunately the repeated over-filing and improper removal process left them in the worst condition they've ever been. I would strongly encourage anyone considering regular gel manicures here to pay close attention to how their nails are being prepped and how the gel is removed. read more

My nail polish did not dry after 2 hours and warped. I'm on my way out of town for a wedding and now have to have them redone. I paid $75 for the pedicure and it's the absolute worst. When I called to complain I did not expect that they would hang up on me. Initially, they offered to redo them. Under any other circumstance, that would have been fine. Unfortunately, I'm on my way out of town. When I told them I would have to get another pedicure because I was leaving tomorrow for a wedding the woman hung up on me. I really thought about whether to post this, but I feel people should know about my experience. I had the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever received. My usual salon was closed, so I decided to give Pinkies a try. I came home with my left pinky toe bleeding, which was completely unacceptable. On top of that, my nail polish never fully dried--even after more than two hours. I ended up having to remove the polish myself and reapply it at home. Nail salons in general need to improve. This is such a common experience, it's expected not acceptable. After making an appointment, driving 30 minutes, paying for parking, and making it on time the salon is behind 15-20 minutes. It's now been 30 minutes and I'm not sure anyone knows I'm here. Why is finding a nail salon so difficult. I had high hopes after a friend had a good experience but once again, disappointed. I've been to Pinkie's many times. They even did my Gel X nails for my wedding in '23, and did a wonderful job. Last night, I went for a regular manicure, which looks good. Their new spot is very nice. I had made an appointment for 5:30, and was told to take a seat. It was not until 6pm, a full 30 minutes later and not being acknowledged once, that I was finally moved to a nail station, and another 5 minutes until someone actually came and helped me. I'm all for a grace period, but 30 minutes is unacceptable when you've made an appointment. Not one apology or acknowledgement. Don't take appointments if you're not going to honor them, or hire more employees. read more

Pinkie's nails I've been going there for two & a half years. My nails were great & lasted a month. I get gelx. A couple weeks ago I went & I got a bad set. They broke immediately. Normally I get several coats of gel polish on top & a gel underneath, however this time I only got 2coats of polish. I went back several times to repair the broken nails because it's holiday season & I can't have broken nails. Broken nails really suck & make u feel like a 9 instead of 10. I prefer excellence. I called when the 3rd nail broke asking what's a good solution & the owner acted incensed with me. She scolded me saying my nails were too short and I hadn't been there in while. She offered me a new set with a discount. I took her up on that offer and I showed up to get my nails done and she tried to have one of her other manicurists do my nails. I told him no and that I wanted her to do it because the nails that she repaired were structurally sound, and weren't breaking. She was rude and didn't want to do my nails acting as if she was too busy. Basically I didn't matter to her. she gave me the worst customer service as if I haven't been paying and tipping very well for the last two years. I've been a very loyal customer. Maybe it's because I'm black and most of her customers are white women. I wonder if she treats them the same way. Anyways, a person only has one time to show me that I'm not welcome and they don't want to do my nails so I will not be returning. It's a shame because there are a lot of really great people that work there who are very nice and respectful. I took a break as everyone should when wearing artificial nails. Still everytime I've come there my nails have been short. That's the reason most people come is because they have very short nails and they want longer nails so this excuse fell flat with me. Also, if short nails are a precursor to lots of breakage, why wasn't I informed of that prior to getting my nails done? Nail tech should inform clients of what's best for the health of their nails as well as what's going to last & not just break. The first time I went there I had very short nails and I didn't have breakage. I think this may be the economy, cutbacks of some sort I don't know. The customer service was way less than stellar. She ruined my holiday nail season & treated me as if I had done something to her. It was weird. There was no apology or regard for my feelings, time, money or energy. I feel like I just wasted 80$ I do my nails at home and they look beautiful when I do them. I came here because I wanted a design. I thought they were a design specialist place because of the pictures that they have on Google. I asked for a thick bow. considering the intricate designs that they had online, I thought a bow would be like a simplest thing for them, but it wasn't it turned out It was the hardest... so hard that 3 other nail techs surrounded my toe as if they never seen a Bow before I was confused to say the least. Whats sad it looked like Mr bean drew it it looked like a white bycical drawn by a kid What pisses me off is that the first lady that came up to me told me she could only do a simple flower to which I said do you have a design specialist . She then left and acted like she got me a person who could but this new lady said I had to get gel if I wanted to design so I switched from regular to gel.... The girl (clear glasses and green shirt) could not do the bow for the life of her, so I kindly just said I'll just do NO design even after showing her several pictures and telling her she could do a flower instead if she wanted... So I left very upset with no design and up charged to gel for absolutely nothing. The girl who did my actual pedicure and polish was very kind (pink mask big diamond stud earrings) so I tipped her and said thank you, but that whole experience was just weird... Really wanted to like this place. Front desk was friendly and the space was clean but service and quality didn't meet expectations. I came in with soft builder gel on my nails from a previous salon. They were long, strong, and the healthiest they've ever been. Unfortunately, it became clear the salon didn't have experience with this type of gel. My nails were aggressively dremeled down and hand-filed to the point that my nail beds felt extremely tender and sore both during and after the appointment. It felt like the enamel was worn down and by the end my nails were left long but so thin that the tips bent with the slightest pressure. I had to clip them all down afterward because they couldn't hold up to anything even tying my shoes. I was charged extra for the removal, which I wouldn't have minded if it had been done properly, but I now feel like I'm starting from scratch trying to rebuild the strength and health of my nails. My toenails were also filed down thin. There's just no way nails should bend that easily. I'd recommend checking ahead to make sure they're experienced with what you want. read more

I decided to go to pinkies after I was done working and get my feet done! The lady's who greeted me was sweet, and was able to get be set up right away. I didn't have an appointment, I appreciated the quick service. When I sat down I put my feet in the water and my technician asked if it was okay and I said it could be warmer but I don't think she heard me. So it was like warm and slightly cold. I asked for 75$ pedicure.. first 10 mins everything was going fine, until another technician sat next to me and rudely asked me to move my stuff. There was no, "excuse me, could I move your stuff to different place?" Or "hey I need is area can I move you thing?" She said, "move your stuff" I moved it swiftly to the right side of me. And honestly I just thought it was language barrier but everyone else had manners so I don't it was that. About 20-30 mins into the pedicure, my technician starts to scrub my feet and only spends a maximum of 30 seconds Scrubbing. The bottom of my feet are still rough, which is why I'm mentioning this. There shouldn't be any rough skin pieces hanging from my feet and my feet honestly feel the same as when I walked in... as she was painting my toes I asked for French pedi. I had to ask her a couple of times to make the lines a bit thicker because the French tip looks like it's barely there. Towards the end it was time for my foot massage and I saw it clearly on the package I chose that its a 20 min massage. My Technician puts a 15 minutes on here timer and I had to gently remind her I'm paying for 20 mins.. the massage was not worth it. after my toes were done I still tipped her $20 cash because she was Still sweet just not the best. When I went to check out they said my total was 105$ dollars. Because and I got gel and French tip it was 30 dollars more. Smh needlessly to say this place won't be getting my business again. Quality over quantity is what they should focus on. Beautiful nail Place but unfortunate experience. Not everything and everyone was bad but it wasn't the best. read more
