I own a small fabrication shop in Long Beach I build industrial furniture. I took a table that I made to Alpha powder coats and after my customer picked out the color they wanted I contacted Alpha powder coat to place an order and they told me that they did not have the color in stock and that I had to order it myself and bring everything to them. Which as a customer it's very inconvenient but I did it anyways. Three or four days later when my table was ready I went to go pick it up and the powder coat job was not done correctly and I had to tell them to do it again which pushed my delivery date back. So even after all that headache I gave alpha powder coat a second chance, I brought them two small parts that I built to get chromed, at first I was told that they do chroming. When I arrived I was told that they outsource their chrome work. Which means the cost will be more expensive for me and my customer which yet again is inconvenient. 5 days later I go to pick up my chromed parts and it clearly shows that someone broke one of the tabs and attempted to re-weld it back. The weld is vary ugly, not strong and they just chromed right over it. For me to repair this would push back my delivery date once again and cause problems for my customer. Obviously I would never do business with this terrible powder coating shop again I urge you to stay away from this place they do not take pride in their work they want the quick money. Save yourself the trouble and find a real professional shop to work with. Please look at the pictures you can clearly tell that three of the four weld are clean and one looks like shit.

Hello all, just wanted to say a great job ismael did with center wheel caps! Please check them out! And reasonable good prices they also do chairs and anything metal and cast iron.

Huge thanks to Uriel and his family for the beautiful job they did on restoring our patio furniture. They were easy to work with and charged exactly what they quoted. We came home missing 4 screws otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Really great, thanks!

I got multiple quotes from other paint shops, but Uriel sent me the nicest looking bronze and also sent me the best quote.

If only I knew about Denmac when I was building my house, I would have used them for everything!…read more Despite being 316 [marine grade] stainless steel, I had a gate that would rust profusely within a matter of weeks and require highly abrasive red Scotch pads and 45 minutes of my time to clean every 6-8 weeks. All the DIY clear coatings I tried wouldn't last more than a couple months. Being oceanfront, tackling rust is something I'm used to and I am quite the expert at but clearly, this was made with low quality stainless loaded with contaminants. After dealing with this for 3 years, I concluded powder coat would be preferable over constant rusting. Before contacting Denmac, I had pursued bids from several powder coaters in the South Bay and even one in OC. Most would not give me the time of day, since I was not some large commercial customer and this was a small job. My bid was easy too, since I had architectural drawings of the actual gate with all measurements, from when I had it made. Plus, I had already picked out the primer (Cardinal E396-GR1372) and paint (Cardinal Black Superdurable 20% Gloss) so it's not like there were unknowns for whomever was bidding. A straightforward bid, right? Nope! A couple refused to bid because it was too small. One well known company in the OC who bid refused it unless I brought it on a pallet. I explained a pallet wouldn't fit in my SUV (I checked) but said I'd be happy to attach it to one when I dropped it off. They refused to provide a pallet and basically told me to get lost, in nicer words. A well known beach cities powder coater never answered my calls for weeks. Told me to email him my info, which I did, but never heard back despite me following up once a week. Multiple companies I spoke with refused to do the small parts. One said they were "too much of a hassle" to do. As I widened my circumference from Manhattan Beach, I reached out to Denmac and the difference in service was night and day. The nice receptionist told me who was in charge of new customers and I asked if I could have their email address to send my info. I sent it along with photos and despite being 4 pm on Friday, Mark the president responded a short time later (5:30) with a well written, detailed email, and price quote. No games or BS. Exactly what I was looking for. When I brought it in, the service I got on site was just as professional. The guy who helped me, I think his name was Nick, was super knowledgeable and attentive. When I showed him my small bolts and gate latch pieces, he didn't snub them like other powder coaters. He was happy to do them! I got the gate back quickly and now have it installed. I am so happy to have found Denmac because I tell you, contractors in the beach cities have too many rich customers paying them so they just don't seem to put any effort in to get customers or treat small customers right. You would think this VIP treatment was because Denmac had slow business, right? Not at all. They were busy and can be and each time I was there, I saw probably 20+ people working and the facility was jam packed with all kinds of things being painted. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large, successful operation still treat me, the little guy, as being important too. Not only will I use Denmac for everything in the future, but I seriously think I will still use them if I ever move to OC or San Diego. They are just so professional and worth the drive, wherever you may be.

Had a great experience with a silver powder coat on a set of 2005 Camry 16" factory wheels…read more I got a set of throwaway wheels on Facebook Marketplace intended as a gift for my mom's old car. The wheels were in pretty bad cosmetic shape - dings, scratches, brake dust everywhere, peeling paint galore, and some pitting on the back for one of them. After Proper Motion finished my powder coat they came out spectacular. You can also clearly see all the factory Toyota markings on the back despite the years of obvious neglect. The worst wheel still had some of the pitting come through only in the back, but that was the original wheel's problem so kind of expected for a 21-year-old wheel. I didn't ask them to file it down (which would've removed probably too much material), so I'm still thrilled with the final results. I guess I visited their newer shop in Sante Fe Springs. They had a clean and neat front lobby and a cozy waiting lounge with couches. I just dropped off the wheels, so didn't get to take full advantage of the lobby. I asked for pricing over the phone before coming, and once I arrived everything was still as quoted, even with the poor condition of my wheels. They had lots of sample swatches and a few miniature wheels as demos, but I wanted a lighter silver to match the factory paint. They were super helpful and special-ordered the matching powder / paint for no additional cost. I just had to wait a few days for the order. Overall would highly recommend.

It's not about the bad job done, it's about the lying and failure to answer requests for help. Bad jobs happen, there's nothing wrong with that. But not trying to right your wrong is a sin. REPLY FROM LYING OWNER: These wheels had really bad casting marks so we stripped them, primered them, and powder coated them. perhaps the primer was added too thick to try and erase the casting marks ORIGINAL REVIEW: Garbage. Wheel was never stripped of the original coat and has way too much PC on it now. Wheel is slowly leaking air. Also, they somehow damaged my original custom black TPMS sensor and replaced it without telling me. Even for the price, it's garbage. They have plenty of business, they could be a bit more honest.
