The information presented by the museum is very thoughtful and informative. It is all done very well. My favorite thing though was the bathrooms. I loved them. I find myself daydreaming. About showering in the black and white bathroom. Which is not an experience that is available to anyone... But I wish it were There is also a gorgeous rose garden on the property. Very enjoyable. We were there for about two hours but I could have stayed a bit longer. You might have to park a short distance and walk to the house but it is all worth it

I…read morereceived a game where you scratch off things to do based on a city in Massachusetts depending on the time of year, weather, time of day, etc. We saw that Seekonk is only about 45 mins from us and it was a Saturday. The card was for Saturday night. Perfect! We scratched and it said see a race at the Seekonk Speedway. We are from the west coast and my husband is a car guy so this sounded like an awesome idea. This is a far cry from what we were expecting, but we had such a fun time. The speedway was packed! We had to park way out in the back lot in the grass. Tickets were for a special event trailer bashing or something. We walked around the whole area, grabbed snacks and found some seats by the family of one of the race car drivers. We got to learn all the rules of each different race and be included in the energy. It was so much more fun than I could have bargained for.

The flowers are beautiful and so are the topiaries. It doesn't take you long to walk through, especially if you're like me and by yourself, but definitely worth the trip outside of downtown Newport to visit.

As for the place itself, its ok. Nothing special, and probably not worth the price, but to get outside and to do something different for 45 minutes or so it does its job. Unfortunately the experience with staff soured the experience.

I attended The Ballet Center's annual Cinderella & Variety Show at St. Andrew's School last night…read moreand came away very impressed. Having grown up dancing both recreationally and competitively, and working at my own dance studio as both an apprentice and again as an adult, I've seen firsthand everything that goes into putting on a production like this. From backstage organization and music cues to dressing rooms, costumes, concessions and all the behind the scenes details, there's a lot that has to come together. From what I could see, this was a very well run production. The performances were thoughtfully choreographed with a wonderful mix of fun, lighthearted numbers and more serious pieces. The dancers looked confident, the transitions were smooth and the entire show appeared to go off without a hitch. Most importantly, thank you for giving my nephew such a wonderful first year of dance through hip hop and a fabulous first recital. It was a joy to watch him and all of the dancers shine. Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic show!

Attended a show through TBC last night for my five year old nephew. It's the first show I've seen…read morein a while and it was so good! I loved the ballet (especially the tiny mice) and also the second portion of the show! There was so much talent and joy on stage throughout the entire show. There as also a genre (fusion), that I a dancer of 20+ years, had never heard of! Thanks for a great show. I hope my nephew continues for years to come!

Founded in 1990, JCT has been going strong for nearly 30 years, providing residents of Jamestown and beyond the opportunity to perform, create, and attend high caliber Broadway-style musicals. This was my second time performing with this company - I played the Leading Player in last fall's PIPPIN the Musical, and couldn't wait to return for the spring show this year. That's truly a testament to the warm and welcoming environment of this professionally run company. As an actor, I love how JCT strikes a great balance in rehearsals between working hard and having fun. I have made a handful of lifelong friends and theatre collaborators from my involvement with the company, and for that, I could not be more grateful! Ricky, the director I have worked with both times, is an absolutely fantastic, kind, and brilliant soul who any actor would be lucky to work under. Everyone I've met here puts 100% of their time, talent, and energy into making the productions the best they can be. If you have the chance to see or be a part of a JCT show, please take it! You'll be so glad you did!
