The food and drinks are pretty standard bar fare at typical prices. The staff and customer service really stand out they're great . Honestly, it's a 5-star dive bar. You can't come here looking for some high class ambiance. You're not getting special cutlery or some crazy top shelf wine. What you are going to get is some pretty tasty simple food, decently good drafts and mix drinks coupled with a whole ton of retro vibes. Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful. The menu is plastic and a few pages of deliciousness. We had smoky pepper wings and a spicy pizza. No complaints for both. Crispy thin crust and crunchy nicely flavored wings. The games though are not the typical ones you'd find at a Dave & Busters. Instead, you'll find Mario, skeeball, teenage mutant ninja turtles, mortal combat, and all the other nostalgia fun you loved as a 70's/80's kid. Each inch of every wall is decorated with some sort of movie or tv reference, and it's just fun. So if you're bored of the typical bar scene, give this place a try. They have a most excellent multistory rooftop deck that is perfect at sunset! The inside areas have '80's music and arcade games. Drinks are reasonably priced and delightful! ATFER WE ORDERED 260.00 of food it was 3:55 and she said my shifts over at 4:00 so im going to cash you out and you cant start new bill with a mew waitress. We were all like what?? The staff was super friendly! I am lactose intolerant so i was very excited to see a lot of vegan options. We ordered: - Little Mario w/ Vegan Cheese Pizza: Red Sauce and Cheese blend dusted with fresh basil -Players Choice Pizza: Red Sauce, Mushrooms, Pepperoni with vegan cheese -Violet's Mac Attack: Vegan Friendly mac and cheese OMG the pizzas were amazing! The vegan cheese on the pizza was the best I've ever had. The cheese was melted nicely and didnt have the usual vegan cheese after taste. This cheese made me actually believe that it was normal cheese haha. I liked that they had the players choice option and i could build my own pizza since i do like eating meat, i just cant handle normal cheese. The thin crust was perfectly crispy and held the toppings well without flopping. The Violet's Mac Attack was good. Since we ordered the vegan version, I think the sauce was more like a sweet potato or butternut squash blend for the creamy parts and topped with vegan cheese. It was good but I think i prefer a cheesier flavored mac and cheese (unfortunately these hurt my tummy). Overall i was still happy with the dish. best barcade EVER, seriously! the vibes here are absolutely immaculate + the games are so fun, there is a good mix of retro and modern games. the drinks here are great and fun too, my fav is the ghost energy mixed with vodka/tequila (whatever you're feeling!). i've never seen them anywhere else but they are so so good! i recently tried the food and i really enjoyed it too, the loaded tetris tots are to die for! i also love that they're allergy friendly with actually yummy options - the gluten free pizza was GREAT! no cardboard crust and really good flavor. 1000% recommend this place - whether you come for a night out, to play some games, or for wednesday night trivia (our fav!) you're guaranteed to have a great time :) read more

I stopped by for a few hours earlier this week, this place is great!! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. I didn't get any food, but everything coming out smelled really good, it was making me hungry! There are a lot of different games to choose from, my favorite was the Ninja Turtles game. All of this was tied together really nicely by the music, lighting and decorations all around the bar and games. It's just such a fun and interesting place to hang out. Alright let's start with the food! The pizza is well worth the price. At about $14 it feeds 3 of us. It's super tasty, thinner crust but not burnt, and they are very generous with toppings. They had a steak and asparagus special that was to die for! I've also tried their chicken bacon ranch, with extra veggies (free), it was also AMAZING! The loaded Tetris tots were also very yummy, and well portioned. Sliders were a little too well done. So far most things we've ordered have fed at least 2 people, the price was pretty fair for the potions. The only sweet food item is the rice krispy basket, these were also good! The chocolate ones were a little on the stale side but taste wise - absolutely worth it! Drinks: I'll personally only be sticking to beer. I've tried multiple drinks and was now impressed by the quality. But they have a decent tap variety for brews. Atmosphere: The rooftop area is perfect for a nice night or sunny day. They have 4 swings that face street side, these were a super cool touch. The arcade hosts live music events are up there every few days. Arcade: You get a fair amount of coins for $10. The cool thing is if you don't cash, you can add coins to your tab. The games are fun, but there isn't too much of a variety. Guitar hero, DDR and the terminator are some fun classics. Air hockey and basketball are also pretty cool. I don't much care for the pinball machines or the super old stuff. They also have board and card games for free, we usually play uno while we wait for our food. read more

My work rented the venue out for the evening and it was absolutely excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly throughout our visit. ATM and change machines for tokens on site or you can ask your server and keep it all on one tab. Extensive bar menu with a wide selection of beers, ciders and mixed drinks. We kept it to pizza which was good (personal size easily feeds two adults). Old school movies and shows are playing along with great music and impressive decor. There are both video games and other arcade game classics (like hoops) spanning several decades, board games, and strategically-placed Playstations. Every inch is decorated with glorious retro art and fandom momentos. The food is also above average for bar fare, with the sliders and pizzas being the stars of the menu. This was an impromptu stop with my 2 teenage sons during our visit home to New Bedford from California. I told the boys we could stop in for about 15 minutes and we ended up staying nearly 2 hours! It was an awesome way to spend this stormy afternoon. In all honesty, I reluctantly agreed to go and thought I was going to be unhappy with the food choices and bored because I haven't played video games since they moved beyond 2-D! WOW! I was so wrong. Play Arcade is awesome! The food was great and their menu has lots of vegan options (not what I was expecting at an arcade!). We got the nachos and they did not disappoint! Vegan chicken sliders were perfect! The games...old school video arcade games that I could actually play. My kids loved all of the games, I particularly loved Tetris and Kong. Had such an amazing time here with some of my closest friends in the rooftop. First off the decor is incredible and is so cool and tastefully done. The drink selection was amazing as well as the food. We sampled the crab cakes, pizza, siders, salads and then some and it was all SO good. The Greek salad and crab cake was my fave and will definitely order again. After munching we went downstairs and had a blast playing games together. So many choices, some familiar some new. The thin crust was perfectly crispy and held up to a lot of weight! It has garlic oil, mixed cheese and and topped with a chopped salad and house vinaigrette. Oh my gosh. Soo good. I have been here multiple times with friends and family and every time has been amazing! To start, the atmosphere is fun and clean and overall a total blast from the past! The food is delicious and blows my mind that vegan food can taste THAT good to a non vegan! For reference, we had tater tots, (the best) garlic knots, and vegan mac n cheese. The drinks are delicious and fit the throwback vibe. The waitstaff is kind, helpful, and informative- always willing to give info on food or how the games work. The owner was incredibly accommodating to my family who have food allergies.
