    Huge and Fresh!

Fabulous staff, not crabby at all! Even called at 6:30 am calling re: available crabs. Mmmm we lucked out

On a very busy weekend we got quick service, good price, and 8 large, lively crabs. Highly recommended.

    Best crab ever!

We picked up 2 large live crabs on 1/10/25. Excellent service! The best crab, so sweet, and no need for melted butter. $50 for the 2, we'll be back!

    Annie E.

This is a stand to buy live crabs not a place to eat. It looks more like a little shed with a huge tub full of live crabs outside. There was only one guy there when I went, he bagged the crabs up for us and we were on our way. They are located right next to Spud Point Crab Company. The crabs were very fresh and feisty. Its cash only.

Fresh, perfect dungeness crab straight off the boat. Super nice, helpful people helped me pick a couple 2-pounders. Not super cheap ($5/lb) but couldn't have asked for better place to shop for dinner.

(Minus perhaps the crowded parking, which only speaks to the popularity of this place). I liked that you can order inside or outside at a kiosk. Came on a Saturday evening and wait time was about 15-20 minutes. You find your own table and wait to hear them call out your name for the order. I also liked that when you order a drink, you can pay $3 extra to keep a souvenir cup (and you can even request a new unused cup at the end too! So you don't have to worry about taking home a cup with remnants of beer or other beverages inside). The sauce bar has 5 different sauces, but my favorite was the Maui Wowie. I thought they all complemented the fish and chips really well! We got kale slaw instead of chips as the side, and it was a nice refreshing side to have -- it really cuts through the greasiness from the fry! I thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried: clam chowder, fried fish, and crab sandwich. There's definitely other things on the menu I'd like to try as well! I also love all the merch they have inside. Hats, towels, aprons, shirts, etc...the design team really creates great designs! I went home with a tshirt and some magnets, along with a "fish dad" hat as a gift. As a pro tip, if you stay nearby at Hotel Dega, it's walkable distance and then you don't need to worry about parking!

We eventually arrived there around 12:45 PM. Spud Point is a cute little shack right across from the harbor, but the parking is terrible so keep that in mind. We waited in line for about 5 minutes and ordered two clam chowder soups which were $9.99 each, one crab sandwich which was $21.98 and one seafood sandwich which was $19.99. Menu is pretty limited and no fish and chips. They immediately provided the food so I assume they were pre-prepared in the back and you could see the pots of soup boiling outside. We brought our dog as there are only outdoor picnic tables to sit at, but there seemed to always be a spot open. There were also benches across the street overlooking the bay where you could hear the harbor seals barking, to view the fishing boats. The clam chowder was very good, one of the best I've ever, had not too thick with a lot of cut up smaller clams and a bacon flavor. There's only one size which could be split with two people, and we still have leftovers. The sandwiches on the other hand are incredibly small and served on almost a hot dog looking bun. You definitely need one for each person as it would be too small to split. I am used to the crab sandwiches at Nick's Rockaway in Pacifica, which are absolutely delicious and feed two people for about $42. The crab sandwich (1/8 lb) here was very fresh and the seafood sandwich (1/4 lb half bay shrimp and 1/4 lb half crab) was also very good. I believe the owner has his own fishing boat and he catches the seafood and fish daily as there was also halibut for sale in market shelf. Weather was cold and foggy as is normal in Bodega Bay. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone if you were in the area, but I would try either Fisherman's Cove or Ginocchio's next time for the crab sandwich if you wanted something more hearty.

I guess I don't need to list out every single fish they sell, but that's off the top of my head! I've only ever bought fish that was fresh and good -- we haven't had any poor experience or purchases. Outside of the headliner, seafood, they also sell a fantastic assortment of cheeses, deli meats, wine, jams and jellies and pickles and olives, oils and breads. Everything you need for a quintessential northern california meal. Except for fresh produce, go to Diekmann's for that!
