Delicious crab cakes in beautiful Bodega bay! The line was a little intimidating, but the food was well worth the wait! Crab cakes are sold on WEEKENDS ONLY- STARTING @1PM!! I love the vibe here, pet friendly and friendly service! Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I ate here for the very first time while we were in Bodega Bay. We shared a bowl of their New England Style White Clam Chowder and Crab Sandwich. The chowder was creamy, seasoned well, and had a good amount of clam and potatoes that weren't overcooked. The crab sandwich was meaty, had real crab meat, and wasn't overpowered with too much sauce which we enjoyed. The bread was warm and toasted too. However, I did encounter two small pieces of crab tendons when eating the sandwich, but it didn't ruin the overall sandwich experience for me. We enjoyed adding some of the crab meat into the chowder or dipping the entire sandwich into the chowder a great combo! Service was friendly and fast--You order through a window and there are a few benches with umbrellas to sit at. Overall, we enjoyed what we ordered and wouldn't mind eating here again when in the area.

An hour wait at ~3pm on the weekend when the line is on the road past their sign. Seating is available! - Crab sandwich: the crab filling was delicious, nice portion as well and not over dressed! Only wished for the bread to be toasted / have a garlic flair. A better bread vessel would have transcended this sandwich - Tuna sandwich: classic tuna salad filling, but with pepperoncini bits as well. - Clam chowder: delicious and with nice amounts of clams in it! - Potato salad: didn't know i needed this side until i had it - must get!

This was the perfect lunch stop at Bodega Bay. The line moved quickly and we were able to share a table outside. The crab sandwich was delicious, moist, and had a lot of crab. We also tried the shrimp sandwich, which was packed with bay shrimp. The clam chowder was hot and hearty. We also loved taking a picture with the crab driving the car outside. Looking forward to returning!

Stopped here to taste the Clam Chowder and Crab sandwich. Parking can be a challenge on a busy day but you'll find one. They offer dining outside but limited on seats. You place your order at a window and it comes out within a momnet. The sign mentioned being one of the best Clam Chowders in Bodega Bay and after trying it, I wasn't on the same page. If you're a garlic fan this might be your jam but I wanted to taste like clams and not garlic. The Crab sandwich was served cold but it tasted pretty good. Price was a little high for It and I prefer to add some salt for taste. Overall experience was okay I liked server/cashier who was kind, polite and helpful.

Everyone comes for the famous crab sandwich, but the shrimp sandwich was just as good, if not better! Just make sure you time your visit right - we got there right before 12 PM and only waited about 20 minutes. After 12, the line bloomed into a 1+ hour wait. It's a great vibe right on the water and super close to Bodega Head trail, making it easy to go walk off your food after.

Nice stop on the way home from Timber Cove, but maybe not something I'd specially drive up from the east bay for. We waited in line about 15 mins before getting to the window where you pay and get your food immediately. The staff was incredibly friendly. The crab sandwich was on the smaller side but I genuinely enjoyed the crab flavor. I got a few shells towards the end which was a bit of a bummer. The real winner was the clam chowder. Hot, well portioned for the price. Overall, I enjoyed our lunch here. It was a nice, breezy stop at Bodega Bay.

Always a line no matter what time. Even non peak meal hours. Just wait a bit and you will get what you want! Had the cup of clam chowder and crab salad. Fresh. Chowder was creamy and warming to your soul. No spots left on the picnic tables so we ate in the car and it was so romantic haha

After a long drive checking out all the beaches and seeing the redwood trees, we wanted to find a good place to get some lunch. We landed on this place. Parking is off street so can be hard but we were able to score a spot. There was a line but it moved fast. We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, loaf of sourdough bread and crab sandwich. They have seats outside but they were all taken so we decided to sit in back of our car to enjoy the view of the water and eat our lunch. The clam chowder was ok just too much garlic for us. The bread helped us to eat and the crab sando was good just needed a little sauce or something maybe some hot butter would have just made it bomb but all in all the meal was good enough to satisfy our appetites.

Food was actually delicious especially the tuna sandwich, crab sandwich was bland and no taste. Also I think cocktail seafood was not worth the price you pay because shrimp were super tiny and not a lot of crab. Clam chowder oh yes please... Service was fast and they are nice. Nice outdoor No indoor.

Line was long and went along the street...I waited about 30 minutes until I got to the window - where you order, pay and get your food almost immediately. Got 3 New England (white) chowders, 1 chili, 3 crab sandwiches, 2 seafood (crab & shrimp) sandwiches, and a loaf of Italian sourdough French bread. The chowder was piping hot and was much needed on this cold windy day. It had a great consistency, and they didn't skimp on the clams or potatoes! Flavor was ok, but for me, needed a bit of hot sauce for a kick. The highlight was the crab sandwich, with huge chunks of fresh crab meat.... Mmmm! It just needed a squeeze of lemon and would've been perfect. The chili came with onions and shredded cheese on the side. It was rich & hearty. The bread was tasty, came with butter, and went great with both the chili and chowder. Worth the wait!

Guests were in town for the holidays so we took a drive out to get our favorite clam chowder. Boy was it cold and windy but it was worth it. Their New England clam chowder is our absolute favorite. It is creamy with potatoes, large chunks of clams and other secret ingredients which hits the spot. Superb as usual and everyone enjoyed their soup immensely. You order at the window and if you prefer to dine on the premises, they have several picnic tables with umbrellas outside. We prefer to drive up the hill to Bodega Head to enjoy our soup as we look out over the ocean. If you're lucky, you might even see whales making their annual migration!

I have no idea why it took me so long to review this establishment & i've frequented this restaurant so many times. I travel from sf/oakland to come here just for the clam chowder. This is by far THE BEST clam chowder I've ever had. I've tried all the clam chowders in the Bodega Bay area & down here in sf. But nothing will beat Spud Point Crab Company. Every single bite i have a clam im chewing on. Its the perfect consistency its not to thick not to thin, its got that flavor. I also ordered the seafood sandwich today, and you know what? i'll now be ordering it again vs just the crab sandwich. The shrimp gave it a good texture with the crab. Yes, its quite small but it is packed with meat & Its fresh and delicious. They have a quite few outside tables, couple parking spaces next to the restaurant but if its busy there is a marina maybe 2 min walk from the restaurant. The line moves very quickly the workers are nice & I just really enjoy it here. I personally don't opt to eat here, I find a beach nearby to enjoy the food. I definitely recommend visiting if its your first time visiting Bodega Bay & love clam chowder.

Plenty of signage to let you know this is the place for Crab

I loved the lightness of the calamari batter as well! This is a nicely decorated and clean restaurant. It was romantic with the view of the bay. I felt the customer service was a little off, but eventually our servers were nicer as both lunches went on. There was a Hispanic man that was very friendly and kept our water filled.
