Wednesday night is still a fun night in our house, and tonight we ordered the extra large supreme pizza that serves five people. We placed the order online, then drove all the way over there in the driving rain. The pouring rain definitely didn't stop me from this pizza! It was made fresh to order and had all of the ingredients that you would expect in a supreme style pizza. My favorite pizza toppings have always been black olives and pepperonis, and this pizza had all of those. Thankfully it was still hot by the time I got back home. This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in the DMV. read more

Paisanos pizza was ordered for us and when they arrived and found out it was for an Honor Flight of 37 female Veterans spanning from several Vietnam Vets to gulf war vets the guy went back and doubled our order. Back in the area after a hiatus and so pleasantly surprised. Feeling negative and testing positive has left me to rely on Uber eats and the like. Paisano's was an old go to and I'm happy to say that they're even better than I remembered. I ordered a margherita, not my usual, and was really shocked at how much quality mozzarella was on it. The fries are still the yummy soft texture I remember. Everything arrived well within the delivery window and hot enough that I burned the entire left side of my mouth upon first bite. Highly recommend! High quality pizza, satisfying, cheesy, very close to authentic NY style pizza. To feed a party of 7, we ordered 4 medium pies, and we had plenty leftover. Cheese, Pepperoni, Half mushroom, half spinach (I enjoyed the taste of the two different vegetarian topping options!!!) and a pie with extra cheese and sausage, which was the tastiest. You can make the order online which allows you easy access to customize the pie as much as you want with regard to the types of toppings, which side of the pie, sizes, etc. They also make more than just pies here so there's plenty of options. I appreciated how they gave plates and cups as well with the delivery. I would say a small pie could be enough for one individual so if you're sharing with others order a medium or large size. I also ordered two beverages. The person who took my order over the phone (possibly the owner?) told me he was adding a "surprise" to my order, which turned out to be an addition of garlic knots, which were delicious and which came with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Our pizza was thin just how was like it and it was hot and fresh. We actually did not realize this was basically a to-go restaurant so I ordered and we ordered and was just going to eat outside. I am very unhappy with the pizza I ordered from Paisano's. My first time ordering from them. I wanted a pizza with a decent amount of meat. (I ordered a Cheese Burger Pizza for delivery.) Spoke to someone who said they were a manager who assured me that they would make sure that there would be a good amount of meat. The pizza I received did not have a decent amount of meat. Some slices did not have much meat at all. I was more than prepared to pay for extra meat. (I did not due to being told there would be a good amount.) I called back to give feed back, which seemed to be met with a "so what" attitude. This is frustrating, as I was looking to for a new pizza place to give my business. We have really loved the calzones, here, in the past, and often get them to take home after massage therapy appts at the neighboring Massage Envy. The ham and ricotta ones are great, and we always look forward to them. Tonight, after getting the 20 minutes back home, we unboxed to find, instead of a pepperoni calzone and two ham and cheese calzones, a pepperoni calzone and two ham and cheese sandwiches. Just cold ham and cheese subs. We ate them, versus going back and replacing then and spending another 40 minutes on dinner. This might be the best delivery pizza I have ever ordered. The pizza is NY style and is fresh and fully baked without being too greasy or burnt. The crust is thinner than a hand tossed pizza but isn't so thin that it falls apart. The sauce has a little spice and isn't too sweet like the big chain stores. The garlic knots have a great garlic taste and weren't greasy. They were served with fresh marinara sauce, I know it was homemade because I ended up with a bay leaf. I've been to the Rockville location and had a good experience. So I was definitely willing to give the Crystal City location a try. And it didn't disappoint. I won't let the fact that I was hungry enough to eat the box and the customer copy receipt, blind me to objectivity. Me and my best friend were chillin and decided it was a pizza night. So I open up my trusty yelp app and roll the dice. The warmth of the familiar overcame me when I saw Paisano's and decided to take a chance on love. The pizza was promptly delivered to my friend's door at his fancy apartment building. The moment of truth: the box opened and the aroma of pepperoni and unicorn tears was intoxicating. We got a pepperoni and a supreme pizza. The pepperoni was delicious. The sauce to cheese ratio was exquisite and the pepperoni had the right amount of spice. And I'm not usually a supreme fan, but have to admit that it was equally delicious. All the toppings were fresh and the crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I did not expect the garlic knots to be so small, they're like little nuggets. The buff chick pizza was also mostly just bread, a red onion piece here and there, and the chicken pieces were huge chunks just thrown on top with no buffalo flavor. Unbelievable thin crust cooked perfectly with wonderful flavor other than using cut Italian sausage it was a good pie. The problem is the owner disrespected 3 of his employees while I sat and ate 6' from him doing this. I am changing my experience rating to 4 stars due to the response received from my original post. I received a email from the owner, then a phone call from the general manager (YaYa). It was brought to my attention that the restaurant was understaffed and received over 200 pizza orders around the time of my online order (Trump rally then riot). The GM was very professional and offered an apology and compensated me with a better (no charge) order experience. I plan to order from Pasiano's soon. Kudos to the owner and GM for reaching out to me. This rarely happens in large cities. read more

I tried Paisano's again, this time on a Friday night and it was not nearly as good as previously. The pizza was ok, but the zeppoles were super dry and almost stale tasting. We ordered cheese bread which was horrible. It was on mushy sub bread, with cheese. It was not nearly cooked enough (the cheese wasn't all the way melted), and it was loaded with so much garlic we couldn't eat it. This delivery also took much longer than the estimate. I was hoping for Paisano's to be a reliable delivery spot, but it was surprising to see such a big difference in the span of a couple weeks between two deliveries. read more
