I ordered dinner from Paisano's Pizza Grill last night and had a mixed experience. I called in the order and the young lady on the phone wasn't very helpful at first. I tried to pay with a credit card that expires this month, and she refused to take it, which was frustrating. That said, she did take the time to check whether there was whey protein in one of the items, confirmed there wasn't, and I appreciated that extra effort. I ordered a large pepperoni with double pepperoni and 10 wings (they had a $9.99 wing special). Both the pizza and wings were very good -- hot, fresh, and tasty. Delivery was prompt, and the delivery driver's customer service was excellent. The total bill came to about $40, which felt a little high -- around $30 for the pizza plus the wing special -- but the food quality was solid. Overall: great food and delivery service, but the initial phone customer service could use some improvement. read more

Amazing service. 3 minute drive from the Inn at Ion where we were staying. We ordered a margherita pizza. Lots of fresh tomato slices and fresh mozzarella cheese. Incredible thin pizza crust. We had ordered carry out at 11:45pm. and this was a good find! The dinning area was spacious and had an ample game room off to the side. We liked it so much we came back the next night at 11:00 pm. Except for O'Brien's Grill, they roll up the sidewalks around 8:00 at The Inn. We had a Gyro and a Cuban pressed Sammy. Both were good but it's the pizza that will bring me back here. read more

Each location is a little different from this local franchise. But, every place I've been to has a couple games for the young and young at heart. All are welcoming, low-key, chill spots so you can come as you are at any age. Staff is friendly and attentive when you call in or order there. Dine in or carry out. Tasty both ways. They pay attention to special orders, just make sure there on their game that night as I have ordered enough Gluten Free crusts to know that it's a thinner one than the 3/4-1" you receive on a normal 10" pie. Also, since it's a little thinner, I normally order mine "light baked" so I do get a crispy craker-like crust over a nice doughy pizza crust. Nice offerings for toppings and bases. My new favorite is the Egg-Base. It sounds odd but melts in your mouth. Salads are a nice attention and big enough to share with a pizza. I loved my pizza here, I ordered their margarita pizza to try. As a bonus on Mondays they give you the next size up pie for no charge. Thus, I got a medium for the price of a small. The basil, crust, cheese, and sauce were all great. I tasted a hint of garlic that they added too which added nicely to the flavor. I ordered takeout so I can't speak to the service. We've tried almost everything on the menu as Paisano's is locally owned and close by - it's our go to spot for pizza and sandwiches. They do a great job with the Dino and their wings are really good too. The NY chopped salad is a great starter. Deliveries are always quick and accurate. There's no particular reason why we haven't checked out Paisano's; however, after receiving a coupon for a free large cheese pizza with the purchase of a large specialty pizza, the offer was too good to let lapse. The specialty pizza menu is large with great combos for vegetarians and carnivores like me and my hub. There's plenty of parking and the dining area is large if you want to dine in and great for groups. There's plenty of menu options but I was laser focused on the deal. We looked at the specialty pies on the mailer and selected the Meaty & Beefy. I also opted to pay an upcharge of $2.50 to add pepperoni to the cheese pizza. I ordered at the counter and camped out to wait for my order. In about 15 minutes my 2 pies came out, piping hot. I was home in 7 minutes. I had high expectations based on the dozens of four and five star reviews. Top line, it was only meh and we both were sorely underwhelmed. I know the photo makes the specialty pie look enticing. As described, the toppings were pepperoni, sausage, beef, bacon and ham. All we tasted was pepperoni and small, small, pieces of what I think was chopped ham and processed bacon bits. The razor thin sausage was overcooked; the beef, was best described as crumbly. The sauce was ordinary, (read: lacked seasoning) and the crust lacked body and was overcooked. The cheese pie with pepperoni had the same crust and sauce. I feel bad because the deal was terrific and I'd like to patronize this business, often, but without another coupon, I'm not sure I'll order from Paisano's again. Oh, well. read more

Came here excited to try their pizza and salad. Some other reviews mention a rude girl at the register, that's the understatement of the century! We ordered the NY chopped salad. I'll start with the positive. It was fresh. Weak on the toppings. Pricey at 12 and change. Lastly, if you're expecting a chopped salad, you're going to be disappointed. Apparently, they don't understand the word chopped. Also ordered a large cheese thin crust pizza. Very underwhelming, remained us of a frozen pizza. Sauce had no flavor and crust was rubbery. This is one of my three go-to pizza places in Mount Pleasant. Their specialty pizzas are really good. I also like that you can get any of them made into a calzone. Some of my favorites are their fries, blue chips, pressed mozzarella Fresca, and the Da Dougie pizza. However, my absolute weakness, that no other pizza place comes close to, is their Fat Boy deep dish pizza. It's always cooked to perfection and best of all, it has a CARAMELIZED CRUST! Crust like that is a rare thing unless you live Chicago. Lastly, the entire staff is great, especially Anna. They're always friendly and I like that every time I've place an order to go, they double check my order when I arrive. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because some of the appitzers are a little underwhelming. But other than that, Paisano's is a solid place! read more

I placed online order to be delivered between 6:15pm-6:30pm. My pizzas were delivered at 5:25pm and I then had the responsibility of keeping them warm but not drying them out. Tonight we grabbed take out from Paisano's Pizza Grill in Mt Pleasant. We ordered the Meaty & Beefy and the Capriccio (added roasted red peppers and bacon). Both pies were very flavorful more than adequate quantity of toppings! This is going to be our new go-to when we visit the in-laws in Mt P!!!!!! Crust was perfectly hand tossed. Sauces were well balanced. I would have asked for well done in the future (hubby disagreed). This is a sold 4.5 out of 5 for NY style pizza. On our families last day in Charleston we decided on delivery pizza to the hotel. I had no recommendations and depended on on Yelp research. My Yelp community came through strong! I ordered by phone and paid which was smooth. The staff was great taking the information and arranging for delivery on the lobby. I was promised 45 min to 1 hour. Around 35 minutes into the order I went down to wait. The driver called my cell at exactly the 45 min point. I tipped well for the service which he appreciated. The pepperoni & sausage pie ran around $20. Darn if I did not snap a pic because it looked awesome! Well it ended up tasting awesome too! I had such high hopes for Paisano, especially when I saw the chicken parm pie on the menu. I love chicken parmesan and it sounded amazing in pizza form but this wasn't quite what I had in mind. It seemed like cheap processed chicken tenders instead of good quality chicken. The pizza is supposed to have green pepper and onions but I asked to substitute black olives and fresh garlic. It was edible but I've had better pizza and I ended up being a bit bummed that I picked this for one of my two dinners in Charleston. My boyfriend chose the St. Nick's, which has ricotta, spinach, red peppers and feta. He didn't realize that it didn't have red sauce though and instead had a garlic and basil base. He prefers saucy pizzas so he was bummed when we got back to our hotel room with our pizzas. We picked up a couple ranches and he made it work with ranch. I tried the ranch but it wasn't my favorite. It had a very strong herb taste. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't be opposed to trying again. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong things. Used to love this place, but the last few times the orders have been wrong or things have been left off with more frequency. I ordered two subs with fries and a piggy wiggly calzone with extra pork. There were no fries and almost no pork.The manager told me she wouldn't even give a partial refund because she knew there was 2oz of pork on it. I'll post the pic, and then she can post a pic of what she thinks 2oz looks like. Unacceptable. This is called terrible customer service, and they charge way too much to be continuously screwing up orders. I hope the owners read reviews, because this type of unprofessionalism keep happening. Update here- Nick the business owner promptly responded with promise to make it right. This is greatly appreciated! Thank you, sir. I would like to add that Tatiana offered to remake the food and deliver it personally. When I said that wasn't necessary but even a partial refund would suffice, Amber ( I believe was the name) called me back to tell me not even a refund would happen. We ordered the Da Dougie pizza, fried mushrooms and garlic rolls for delivery. Our order finally arrived 30 min after we were told it would be delivered to our location (less than 2 miles away.) This was about 1 hr and 15 min after ordering. The Da Dougie seemed very heavy on the ricotta flavor and not so much on the meats. The overall flavor of the pizza somewhat resembled a lasagna with bell peppers. The fried mushroom breading was crisp not soggy. I've started coming here are the recommendations of several different people. I'm glad I did. So far everything I've had is great. I've tried the cheese sticks which were really good. The Greek salad. The chicken parm sandwich. My daughters get the same thing every time, Hawaiian Pizza for one. And a pepperoni calzone for the other. On Halloween the staff dressed up. The pirate girl helped us. She was bubbly and friendly and helpful. Not sure her name but I've noticed how sweet she was before. Specialty pizzas were hit and miss. Gluten-free was way too hard. Dinosaur bbq was tasty. Salad was super fresh, large, and had great homemade dressing. Wings were super crispy and not greasy but could use a little more seasoning. Garlic knots were a bit dry and needed garlic butter that came with. Within seconds of walking up to the register had not a question in mind about which girl the reviews were about. She was rude, snappy, unprofessional, and had no interest in pleasing the customer. I asked for a to go cup instead of a plastic one and she said "no, we have them, but for the environment and all... ya know, but you can have one when you leave" Restaurant environment was rough as two of the female employees (one being said rude girl) screamed at each other across the dining area. This girl appears to be in some type of management role and instigated screaming at the employee who was just doing her job. You would think with all of these reviews, upper management would have evaluated their staff and done something about the subpar service. Do NOT recommend this restaurant. read more
