Drink machine all jacked up. Completely out of ice as well.

This place just gets worse every time we visit. Why do we keep coming back?? Because the food tastes good....im not gonna lie. However, the staff is more rude every time, the restaurant is dirtier every time, the line is slower every time, and the prices seem to increase every time! I guess I'm the sucker...but it is disappointing nonetheless, and frustrating, which is why I give this Cava 1 star.

First time trying CAVA. I went with a build your own bowl. There were lots of options available. I definitely felt like I got a lot of food but it was just okay for me. We had to clean off the table we sat at because there was food on it and on the benches. My daughter had to use the bathroom and it was clean.

I have heard about this restaurant from friends and finally decided to check it out. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl as is. The bowl was flavorful and all the ingredients were fresh. Service was good and line moved quickly. I'd definitely recommend checking out this place.

My review is based on two separate visits from CAVA. My first visit was on January 18, 2025, within the last hour of closing. While waiting for my order, I saw one associate cleaning the restroom. CAVA is clean. Therefore, I assumed the food was less than par because the team was breaking down the storage of the service area. On the second visit, I decided to use Cava's App. I told the first person I had placed the order online but wanted to add it. The server promptly gestured that I went to the register and that the cashier would add it to my order. I ordered through the app at 6:05 p.m., and the pickup time was 6:45 p.m. I walked back in at 6:23 p.m. and waited in line, only for the server to avoid me and ask the lady behind me," How may I help you?" Baby, I ripped out my phone and started working on my review. Once the manager realized I was Typing feverishly on my cell phone, she asked if she could help me. I said, "Sure, YELP wants to know if you have Free Wi-Fi." The manager answered my question and quickly walked into the back. Cava has three stars, and I only tried them because my new colleagues spoke so highly about the food and the lavender drink. Side note: The lavender drink is delicious!

Good food and good service. Riley walked out of the bathroom in a towel which really added to the ambiance.

Girls' shopping day and we are HUNGRY! We tried CAVA Mediterranean restaurant in Mt Pleasant. This is like a Chipotle restaurant, but with a Greek menu. There is spacious indoor and outdoor seating available. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center where CAVA is located. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl. It was made with fresh arugula, brown rice, feta cheese, pickled onions, cucumbers, hummus, Greek dressing, and crispy pita. It was so fresh and absolutely amazing and healthy. You can choose your meats and fixing and dress in a bowl or pita sandwich. I had the bowl. There are CAVA specialty bowls, or you can build your own. They offer sparkling water, sweet tea, and various fruit juices. There was a line that took about 20 mins to get through to order, but it was Friday night. You order at the counter and wait, then pay and find a seat. The clerks at the counter were friendly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because I ordered a CAVA specialty bowl, and they didn't have the recipe, so no one knew how to make it. Price was reasonable with similar restaurants. I will be back for some more CAVA!

I'll admit the first time I tried cava, I was unimpressed but my second time was much better. I really enjoyed it and found it reasonably priced my favorite part was the extra chips. I found the servers very friendly and helpful and there is a ton of seating in the restaurant. It is reasonably priced and very fresh. I'd advise not going during a busy hour, if you've never been there.

So good! I built my own bowl with saffron rice, half veggies/chicken, pickled onions (favorite part!) feta cheese, and avocado. The chicken was so tender and juicy and just really good. The veggies were a nice combo of Brussels sprouts and carrots I believe. Also ordered the pita chips, amazing! They were buttery, crispy and perfectly salted. The strawberry citrus drink was nice and refreshing. Carolyn was killing it while she was by herself at the time. So kind and helpful. I didn't feel rushed when I was ordering even when it was busy. Nice place to sit for lunch, especially on the patio if it's a nice day. Plenty of seating inside.

If I could eat Cava every day I would. Sadly they don't have one near where I live. I came to South Carolina to visit a friend and drove all the way to this Cava so I could delight in my favorite concoction a bowl with 1/2 greens 1/2 rice, chicken, my favorite veggies smothered in shug AND garlic sauce. The spiced shredded broccoli mix is new to me and super yummy. I cannot express how happy it made me to eat something bursting with flavor while being super healthy for me. Both my tastebuds and my tummy enjoyed every bite. I cannot understand why this location doesn't have a line out the door.

Still number one choice for a filling, healthy lunch stop. And so excited they are opening one in West Ashley!!

This was my first experience at Cava. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time as Zoe's was one of my favorite lunch spots. Now that I have been I wish I would have tried it sooner! I had the Greek bowl and added avocado and crazy feta to it. I did an online order and pickup was a breeze. Orders are placed on a shelf so you can bypass the line. My order was ready on time and it was delicious. I am excited to try the many other options and try building my own bowl next time. Great place!

Greek salad sub falafel & lamb meatballs
    Daniela Z.

I had higher hopes for this place for all the rave it gets... my falafel and lamb meatballs were pretty dry and I should have gotten the salad dressing on the side because the salad was drenched in it. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned for days.

When Adam's Kitchen showed up as a spot with Mediterranean offerings we decided to check it out. We got there just before their closing time and were prepared to order our food as takeout, but the people were friendly and welcoming and encouraged us to stay. We were too hungry to argue, and wow, did it turn out to be a lovely experience. The food was prepared fresh, came out quickly, and served with care and a friendly smile. My lamb gyro was perfect - served on warm, puffy pita with fresh veggies and a generous drizzle of tzatziki. My partner's chicken shawarma sandwich was equally tasty, but the crowning glory was the house-made baklava that was subtly enhanced with orange flower essence that elevated it to something truly special. We're here to visit the Charleston area for just a short time with so many things to do, but we're definitely making time to head back to Adam's kitchen before we leave for a stash of their to-die-for baklava, Dubai chocolate, and whatever other of their homemade treats strike our fancy. If you're in the Mt. Pleasant area and have a hankering for excellent Mediterranean food prepared and served up fresh by friendly people in a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere, you won't regret checking out this little gem of a restaurant!

They were very helpful with my questions concerning my gluten allergy. They were able to confirm what was gluten free but it is also clearly marked on the menu. The food was fresh and amazing. The hummus is homemade. I had chicken Lula and it was really well seasoned and some of the best I've ever tasted. The only downside was the price. It was quite pricy for a lunch but with that being said, I would still return for more of their food. I just wish I could have tried more of it.

What really separates these falafels is the robust range of spices and complex flavor into the traditional falafel, texture and flavors. The falafel appetizer platter came with four pieces and they were basically gone as soon as they arrived to the table as our entire family ate immediately. Including our pickiest eating family member, who enjoyed theirs too! Exceptional! The halloumi is fantastic and cooked perfectly. It had a nice seasoning on top of it which differentiated it from others I have had before. Everyone at our table enjoyed it. It came with four pieces. The grape leaves were a delight. They had a more robust complex flavor palette than Greek style grape leaves. They were served warm, however they were not dried out like sometimes grape leaves are when they're brought to a table warm. These were beautifully seasoned and had nice moisture to them. The size of each was about that of a ring finger. I can not remember hot many pieces were on the plate but it was more than 4. We ordered the chefs hummus with the pine nuts and pomegranate seeds. It was delicious and a great texture. Pretty much par for the course. My entrée was the Mujadra lentil and rice dish. The flavors were absolutely phenomenal. At first, I was thinking about getting the lentil soup for lunch, but then decided to try under the vegetarian section of the menu the lentil plate. The lentils and rice were placed in a circle mold on the plate. With pretty pieces of salad coming out from four different places. There were pine nuts, chopped, and placed a top of the rice and lentils. Everyone at the table tried my dish and even though we all four have very different favorite flavors and foods everyone agreed it tasted phenomenal and was absolutely delicious. Another family member ordered the lentil soup. They really enjoyed that and they also took some rice off of their spouse's plate and put it in the lentil soup which was a nice pairing. Spouse had the beef kebab cooked, medium rare. The temperature on the kebab for cooking was absolutely perfect! The texture pinkness, and overall cooking was beautifully done to a true medium rare. He had french fries as his side those were just as perfectly cooked as everything else that came out of the kitchen of this restaurant. They were nice and crisp with a good flavor. Three of our four family members tried and agreed they were very nicely done fries crispy all around and not floppy soft. Another family member ordered the Shish Tawook. They were completely in love and smitten with the garlic sauce that came with it. It is divine and tastes beautiful on the chicken. Rice was beautifully cooked as well. The accompaniments of lettuce, pita and oil was delicious. Dessert was baklava. Like every other part of the meal, we had it had a really nice blend of spices and flavor to it. We got it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. All of the desserts on the menu are made in house. One of our family members doesn't tend to like homemade ice cream however she liked this ice cream because she thought the texture was really brilliant for it being made in house at a restaurant. The baklava comes with three pieces. I would love for them to open a restaurant near where we live. If we lived here we would come in 2-3 times a week. Near the end of our meal, we heard some of the restaurant team speaking with another table of regulars. We overheard that they were short staffed that day as someone had called in. We never absolutely would not have guessed that. They seamlessly checked on our table, brought everything out in a timely manner, and none of the plates were hot like they had been sitting at expo waiting to come out to the table for a while. It was wonderful hospitality, with great care and checking in. Our server was a sweet and attentive person. Simply removing plates as we finished and refilling drinks. No one at our table was in want or need of anything as he kept it all well filled. I think the biggest compliment I can give is one family member always has room for dessert. They loved their meal in the appetizer so much they could not have any dessert. Which coming from them a huge dessert person is quite the praise.

While we were out walking on King Street, a local recommended Stella's, and I'm so glad they did. We walked over from our Airbnb and immediately loved the space. The restaurant has two U-shaped bars in the center, which is my husband and my favorite place to sit when dining out. We went in with zero expectations and hadn't even looked at the menu beforehand, but everything ended up being incredible. The drinks were fantastic, and our bartender/server was so sweet. Even though we were one of the last couples seated that evening, we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy the meal at our own pace. We ordered the non-breaded calamari and a shrimp dish, and the calamari was honestly the best I've ever had. It was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and the artichokes that came with it were so delicious. Every bite made me happy. We finished with the tiramisu, which our bartender recommended, and it was absolutely outstanding--easily the best tiramisu I've ever had. We were surprised when we walked in and the bar was actually low, with low, spinny bar seats. But it actually was pretty unique and fun! Our server was excellent and gave us great recommendations. We started with the Stella's Kalamari that had sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and artichoke hearts. It was very flavorful and delicious. Something to keep in mind here is that the portions are pretty large. Perfect for splitting dishes and a lot of food for your buck. The stand out dish for me was the spanakopita. It's a flaky, crispy pastry with spinach and feta inside that you dip in tzatziki. What's not to love about all of that?? We splurged a bit on our entree and split the braised lamb shank. The lamb itself was pretty good, but what I enjoyed most was the pasta it comes with. I would maybe suggest trying a different entree. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good. For drinks I got the Cretan, which had cucumber infused gin, lime, rosemary and thyme. It was so refreshing and just what I wanted. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to others!
