I've been coming to this CAVA location for about five years, and I've generally had good experiences, which is why this review is disappointing to write. The last two times I've ordered pita chips and hummus through the app, the online ordering process felt completely pointless. Both times, my order was marked with an estimated pickup time, but it wasn't actually ready until more than 10 minutes after that. While I was waiting, I watched employees serve 15+ people who came through the regular line after I had already placed and paid for my order. I even saw pita chips being given to customers in line while I was still waiting for the chips I had ordered earlier. It just doesn't seem like online orders are being prioritized or managed efficiently. On top of that, both orders of pita chips were so heavily seasoned and salty that I couldn't finish them. I've had the pita chips here many times over the years and never had this issue before, but the last two visits have been consistent enough that it feels worth mentioning. As a college student, eating out is something I have to budget for and is a treat I look forward to. When the food isn't edible because it's overly salty and the pickup process takes significantly longer than expected, it feels like a waste of money. I know everyone has off days, and I've had plenty of positive experiences at this location in the past. However, because this has happened twice in a row, I'll definitely be more hesitant about ordering here in the future. read more

Half of the time they get my girlfriend's bowl completely wrong, missing ingredients, wrong ingredients. - Today we placed a mobile order at 7:00pm, and didn't recieve our bowl until 7:50pm. The employee also did not say a word as they handed it off - no 'thank you,' no 'sorry about the wait.' I work in food and bev, I understand that sometimes you are understaffed and all you can do is try your best. On the second visit, I decided to use Cava's App. I told the first person I had placed the order online but wanted to add it. The server promptly gestured that I went to the register and that the cashier would add it to my order. I ordered through the app at 6:05 p.m., and the pickup time was 6:45 p.m. I walked back in at 6:23 p.m. and waited in line, only for the server to avoid me and ask the lady behind me," How may I help you?" Baby, I ripped out my phone and started working on my review. Once the manager realized I was Typing feverishly on my cell phone, she asked if she could help me. I said, "Sure, YELP wants to know if you have Free Wi-Fi." The manager answered my question and quickly walked into the back. Girls' shopping day and we are HUNGRY! We tried CAVA Mediterranean restaurant in Mt Pleasant. This is like a Chipotle restaurant, but with a Greek menu. There is spacious indoor and outdoor seating available. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center where CAVA is located. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl. It was made with fresh arugula, brown rice, feta cheese, pickled onions, cucumbers, hummus, Greek dressing, and crispy pita. It was so fresh and absolutely amazing and healthy. You can choose your meats and fixing and dress in a bowl or pita sandwich. I had the bowl. There are CAVA specialty bowls, or you can build your own. They offer sparkling water, sweet tea, and various fruit juices. There was a line that took about 20 mins to get through to order, but it was Friday night. You order at the counter and wait, then pay and find a seat. The clerks at the counter were friendly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because I ordered a CAVA specialty bowl, and they didn't have the recipe, so no one knew how to make it. Price was reasonable with similar restaurants. I found the servers very friendly and helpful and there is a ton of seating in the restaurant. It is reasonably priced and very fresh. So good! I built my own bowl with saffron rice, half veggies/chicken, pickled onions (favorite part!) feta cheese, and avocado. The chicken was so tender and juicy and just really good. The veggies were a nice combo of Brussels sprouts and carrots I believe. Also ordered the pita chips, amazing! They were buttery, crispy and perfectly salted. The strawberry citrus drink was nice and refreshing. Carolyn was killing it while she was by herself at the time. So kind and helpful. I didn't feel rushed when I was ordering even when it was busy. I came to South Carolina to visit a friend and drove all the way to this Cava so I could delight in my favorite concoction a bowl with 1/2 greens 1/2 rice, chicken, my favorite veggies smothered in shug AND garlic sauce. This was my first experience at Cava. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time as Zoe's was one of my favorite lunch spots. Now that I have been I wish I would have tried it sooner! This is a super yum fast casual spot tucked into the Towne Center shopping area. We were picking up Christmas gifts and came across it, so glad we did. The design is Chipotle-esque in that you wander through a line first selecting and customizing your delicious Mediterranean bowl or pita wrap. I will tell you that everything was fresh and inviting. The melon scooper size of the toppings was actually plenty. A soft, chewy, delicious wedge of fresh pita came with the order. There are a decent number of fountain beverages to choose among. My friend and I sat in a quiet side area away from the line and main dining area. They have a wide selection of healthy food options to choose from, including making your own bowl or selecting one already prepared. It's so nice to have this here in Mt. Pleasant. I love healthy eating out options. It's quick, healthy, delicious and affordable. What nite could you want. The staff were super helpful and courteous. I noted that they do not have any tip jars.. I highly recommend treating yourself with a side of pita chips because they SLAP. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. All the staff followed instructions well and each of them said enjoy or have a nice day before passing my bowl to the next staff member! CAVA is my new obsession. I like to do a build your own bowl, and do a combo of rice, lentils, and greens. The braised lamb is well worth the up charge. I love all of the topping options, including the crazy feta, pickled onions, kalamata olives, and cucumber salad. Everything tastes so fresh.
