First and foremost, the place appeared to be clean and tidy. The ambiance inside the massage room itself was relaxing and inviting. However, if you have any apprehension about good communication, this might not be a good fit for you. I had some level of difficulty communicating with the masseuse that greeted me which was also the one who provided the service. Please note, that as others have stated, the gratuity is expected not just suggested. I was asked what I wanted to tip at the end of my session and when I offered 15 dollars which I found fair (tipping is always based on satisfaction of services not demanded), she said, read the sign! The sign which states gratuity is 20-30 per service!!! The massage itself was too intense for my taste. I had to remind her on multiple occasions that it was too much. Also, I was not aware (my bad perhaps) that "Swedish" entailed her walking on my back!! I wasn't ready for that or the very hot towel that she placed on my back toward the end without warning. But hey, if elbows and back walking are your thing and you like intense bone massage's, this is your spot.

A few days before the appointment, I was contacted and asked to reschedule due to one masseuse taking medical leave, which I understood. As an alternative, I was offered the option to split the massage into two separate sessions. That completely defeated the purpose of booking a couples massage, so I declined. Unfortunately, the next day I received another call 45 minutes before my appointment informing me that another masseuse was sick and I would need to reschedule again. I was told the cancellation fee would be waived for my partner--which immediately made me question why a fee was even being considered in the first place when the cancellation was not my fault. I eventually rescheduled for a later date and was informed that the massage would be with one male and one female masseuse. During the massage, the male masseuse made me uncomfortable, which was disappointing since I had specifically requested female therapists from the beginning. Throughout the session, he was breathing very loudly and yawned multiple times, which disrupted the relaxation experience. While I appreciate the effort to accommodate rescheduling, the repeated last-minute changes and the discomfort during the massage impacted the overall experience.

However, Jovita's sister blew me away by offering me times later that day! She was so kind to ask about my needs and allowed me to choose an evening time so I wouldn't feel rushed. They are such thoughtful people! I walked in for my appointment that day and Jovita recognized me right away. She is so personable! The moment I laid down the stress started to melt away, even before the massage started! 90 minutes later and I was in heaven. She and her sister were kind enough to ask me about how school was going and invited me to come back at the end of the semester, before graduation. Well, that was the appointment I had this morning - and again, it was absolutely dreamy. The first thing I noticed was the lavender oil on the headrest, which really helps me chill out.
