I've worked in customer service my entire young adult life - adult life ... this isn't it. Not in the slightest. They have friendly and helpful attendants who are there several times a day for a few hours each time to clean up and help with customer needs. A laundromat is supposed to run itself so you won't ALWAYS find someone on duty but, again, there is always someone there mid-day and someone there a few hours before closing. I do feel that people should take pride in doing laundry there and pick up after themselves; I've seen the attendants there cleaning up after customers who leave their dryer sheets on the floor and tables, and I even saw one of the attendants clean up after a lady who dropped a whole bottle of fabric softener out front! I've seen them cleaning up after people's kids, too. They really go above and beyond there. You'll also see Gary, the friendly owner, in there a few times a week as well making sure everything is in good working order and socializing with the customers. The decor is bright and clean: between the plants, the Mexican pop music playing on the overhead and the bubbles painted on the ceiling, it has a very tropical and welcoming tone. There's also kiddie rides and vending machines. Arlington Coin Laundry is located in the mini strip mall on the corner of Arlington and Lake Ave. right ACROSS from the Chevron station (the laundromat is in the corner of the strip mall). I won't go anywhere else from now on -- I highly recommend it!

For me it's the experience - the time spent looking, studying, and simply browsing a collection is worth gold to me. Chemers Gallery in Tustin is that place that offers that whole experience. Every time I go in there, which I admit isn't near often enough but probably more than some, I delight in "finds". I have a fairly decent collection of artwork and it's not confined to paintings. I've ceramics, sculptures, glasswork, pottery, photographs, and a few weird pieces of found object works as well. Quite a few of those pieces have come from this jewel of a gallery so close to home. The owner Karen, and her friendly staff have always allowed me the luxury to simply roam. I have to walk through numerous times to take everything in. I get distracted by one or two pieces and then turn around and find something else completely unexpected. And, it becomes mine. I love this place!! I am a retired healthcare designer and Chemers was the art consultant on a few of our firms healthcare projects. What I enjoyed was the chosen works were always different from the predictable works too often seen in healthcare spaces and, they always complimented the concepts of our interiors. I also love the shows and exhibitions they often host here. Often soliciting works from local artists, craftspeople, and even foodies, these "pop-up" shows are always good for gifts, wearables, and sometimes taste-ables! And if I'm lucky, I often walk away with a new piece! I always look forward to stopping in on these shows and could spend an hour or more perusing. Do yourself a favor and visit this gallery - oh, and of course, don't forget, they also do excellent framing!!

I needed my palapa completely replaced in time for a birthday party in July. I called around looking for what I needed, but was not satisfied ...either too expensive or it would take weeks. I called Palapa Villa and spoke to Edward. He is nice, friendly, professional and was upfront about what he could and could not do. His fee was competitive. He was able to obtain the material he did not have in stock and within a few days installed the brand new palapa. It looks great.
