We discovered Palate through Yelp while looking for a lunch spot on our drive into Las Vegas, and what an incredible find it turned out to be! My boyfriend enjoyed it, but I absolutely fell in love with this place from the moment we walked in. Everything about this restaurant feels thoughtfully curated. The décor is charming, whimsical, and unlike anything you'll find in the typical Vegas dining scene. The food menu is imaginative, and the cocktail menu is a work of art all on its own. Now, let's talk about the cocktails... because WOW. These were hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever had. I ordered the Tea for One and The Rose, while my boyfriend enjoyed the Banana Pancake and Smoking Section. The Tea for One completely stole my heart. I could seriously drink this all day long! It was light, refreshing, beautifully balanced, and so incredibly smooth that you couldn't taste the alcohol at all which is exactly how I love a well-crafted cocktail. The presentation was absolutely magical, making me feel like a princess enjoying afternoon tea... with a delicious grown-up twist. The Rose was equally stunning, arriving with a real rose as part of the presentation. It wasn't just beautiful, it was floral, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and every bit as enjoyable as it looked. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about his cocktails either, especially the dramatic presentation of the Smoking Section. The food was every bit as impressive as the drinks. My boyfriend ordered the off-menu burger special, and I had the Palate Benedict. Neither dish was ordinary, and that's exactly what made them so memorable. The Palate Benedict was a creative spin on the classic Eggs Benedict, replacing the traditional English muffin with a crispy fried hash brown patty that added incredible texture and flavor. Every bite was delicious. Then came dessert... If you visit, save room for The Hummingbird. Trust me. It was honestly one of the most breathtaking desserts I've ever been served. It looked so gorgeous that I almost didn't want to disturb it. Almost. Thankfully I did, because it tasted just as incredible as it looked. It's easily one of the most creative and delicious desserts I've ever experienced. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, our check arrived with fluffy pink cotton candy. What a fun, whimsical, and unexpected finishing touch! It's little details like this that make Palate feel truly special. To top it all off, owner Rudy stopped by our table to chat with us. He was warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. He even personally brought over my boyfriend's Smoking Section cocktail, adding another personal touch that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. We chose to wait the 10 minutes and went with happy hour.. I had the Rose($9) cocktail and ordered fried rice($11). The drink 10/10 the rice had potential good in flavor but it came out warm, not hot fresh being that happy hour just began and had a separate menu. My wife and I came here on a late Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. I had my usual drink, a diet coke. They had the small crunch ice that I prefer! They offer a daily selection of biscuits and todays selection was a toasted pimento. Sounded interesting and we have never tried anything like it so we took a chance. We also ordered a charcuterie board selection that was titled the butcher block. It had prosciutto, duck pate, an array of different cheeses that were all very good, some soft and creamy and others harder and sharper. I apologize because I don't remember the names of the cheeses. Trust me, they are all very tasty. This also came with pickled carrots which were good too. This board comes with biscuits but we were able to get our original order of the toasted pimento in its place. We also ordered some sliders. The sliders came with fries and those were the best fries we have had in a long time. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfectly seasoned, we couldn't stop eating them. The sliders were delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. Three sliders come with each order. Now again I apologize for the lack of photos in this review. In a sea of taverns and breweries, this was a total surprise, and a very pleasant one at that. Had a really lovely time at Palate Wednesday evening. Had a chill girls night. Enjoyed the $1 oysters to start and shared a butchers board. Personally wasnt my favorite board but the cheese were great and the biscuits were the star. Ellie was our server (name on the receipt so I hope it was her). She was wonderful to conversate with, attentive and provided great recommendations. Some of the cocktails have a fun presentation with different glassware and additions. But one thing that never surprises me is their top notch customer service. The restaurant is gorgeous. Beautiful ambiance, comfortable chair and booths. Last week I was here to have their Restaurant Week menu. The scallops were my favorite dish. And today I enjoyed their Wednesday $1 oysters (all the 18 I ordered were extremely fresh). Suzana, one of the bartenders, recommended me a tequila cocktail called Soul to Squeeze that was absolutely delicious. Love exploring the Art District of Vegas. So many great restaurants to try. We finally made for Sunday brunch at Palate. I can tell you it didn't disappoint. First of we made reservation and got a deal with inKind app to use. We paid our meal via the app and got reward back. Ok let's talk about the food. There is a pretty good selection on the menu. We decided to do family style and share our dishes- our waiter did offer if we like to increase the amount of sliders to cover all five us- decided to just order the dishes as is and we sliced it. We ordered oysters, biscuits, grits and gravy, longanisa sliders, and half bird. Love each dish. The chicken was moist and flavorful- it was accompanied by collard greens and amazing kimchi Mac and cheese. Biscuits is so good and came with flavored butter and jam. Longanisa sliders was juicy with accompanying season fries. We enjoyed the all you can drink mimosas. And our coffee was refilled by our attentive servers. Make sure to make room for dessert- we shared the deconstructed hummingbird and hot brownies with homemade made ube ice cream with coconut/pineapple sauce. Both dessert were perfect. We loved the eclectic decor of the place... especially the bar seats and the giant chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. Like Lee D., we also lucked out on the Wednesday $25 Boards & Bottles deal, which was a platter of delicious duck-derived goodies PLUS a nice bottle of white (can't remember the specifics). I blown away by the amazing value. Following our waiter's recommendation, we also got the Biscuits of the Day which came with a delicious maple butter and jammy preserves. There was something special about those biscuits - I want to say they had a hint of zest or something - so good. The absolutely BEST dish of the night was the Miso Bronzed Pork Belly. Trust me, this is a must get. It was beautifully tender yet crispy on the edges and the accompaniments gave this dish the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and umami. Today we're experiencing Palate in the Arts District. As a reminder, I don't get paid or comped from my reviews, so let's get into it. We entered into a posh, glam Christmas wonderland. This is definitely an Instagram type place. I ordered the Christmas time drink, which was adorable and served in a Charlie Brown style Christmas tree with a drink in the ornament. It was really, really good. We moved on to the homemade biscuits and seasonal jam. Now, I'm not a big biscuit person, but my husband is impossible to impress and said these were the best biscuits he's ever had. Now, this is unfortunately where we take a nose dive... I ordered a dozen oysters, and let me tell you, it was like I was drowning in the Pacific. It was so salty and really hard to get through. Without a doubt the worst oysters I've ever had. My husband got the Easy Like Sunday Morning platter, which looked good, but the potatoes were pretty dry, and it was very middle of the road. I will say the service was top-notch, and they even gave us some complementary cotton candy at the end, which was cute. I think the food execution is done well and emphasis on presentation without detracting from taste. I've really enjoyed my 2 visits to Palate. The staff is really attentive and very friendly. They have lots of recommendations and are the reason we knew to come back for $1 oysters. The ambiance it's very quirky. Interesting art and seating options. Feel a little random and fun. Also love the music that play (live and over the sound system. The food is good and different. The oysters are tasty and we definitely ordered a lot. Their special vinaigrette was good but it was too hard to get the onion out of the bottle with the liquid. Thr scallop carpaccio (don't remember what it was on the menu) gel similar to a ceviche. Very fresh and great flavor. We also ordered the salmon belly, which was good but for the price, I wouldn't get it again. The biscuits were also tasty. I haven't had many savory biscuits a these were really good. When we came before we got one of the charcuterie boards which had some good options. The board was served with the biscuits and while we like both separately, the flavor of the biscuits overpowered the other flavors on the board. The menu has lots of different options. I did have a tough time with were the pricing, Just a little high to me to really try some of the other options on the menu. The happier is a very nostalgic presentation with the ability to roast your own marshmallow. This is a much more whiskey forward drink with notes of chocolate, but not a full chocolate experience. For brunch I ordered the morning glory palate board. I opted for the biscuits rather than the foie cornbread. The banana bread French toast amazing, the pumpkin seed brittle is a soft brittle with a lot of flavor. The biscuits were amazing with the in house prepared jam. The pork belly was so soft and tender you only needed a fork to separate it. The potato rosti was cooked beautifully with soft potatoes, it did lack some flavor though. The frittata was cooked well, and many may truly enjoy it, but I was not aware that there was goat cheese in the frittata and it definitely left an unwanted taste in my mouth. Really surprised at this place. I attended for a private event and was blow away by the food taste, choices, the bartenders and intimate type feel and decor. Everything was clean and upclass. It was just big enough to hold our group and small enough it felt intimate and we could rotate and meet and greet other people. They allowed for specialty drinks to be designed and made to celebrate our private events. I can't say more about the staff. They were friendly, they were quick, they were professional clearing off areas, recommending drink options, keeping the buffet area's in presentation mode after people came through it. My wife's not a big fan of pork belly and she said it's probably one of the best things she's ever eaten. Charred to perfection. We also had the short rib entree which was decent. I liked how the music wasn't overly loud and it was good enough where I can still have a conversation. We went around 10pm so there was only the late night dishes. The prices were okay, there are cheaper late night menus out there. The food itself was mediocre but the drink was amazing. Short rib fried rice 6.5/10: the portion was fair for $10. There wasn't much meat in it and the rice was a tad bit dry. But the taste was flavorful. Nothing really popped for me on this dish. Steak and frites $18 7.5/10: the steak was perfectly cooked to a medium and seasoned. However there was nothing special about the fries and it was pretty plain. I wish they added maybe a vegetable or something to the dish to make the presentation nicer. Purple rain cocktail $16 9/10: the highlight of the night for me. The drink was so good and the jellies were probably my fave part. The drink is not too heavy which I liked. It had a sweet creamy flavor profile and I definitely tasted the ube. The price was a bit steep in my opinion but it's hard to get a cocktail nowadays under 15. Overall the food was okay and left me wanting more. Extra fishy taste that the next day I had to go to another restaurant to get my Hamachi fix which redeemed the Hamachi failure I had at Palate. My friends enjoyed the Oysters and Ube Drink. It was like Halo Halo to me. The sliders was a disappointment for me. Only because I was expecting Longanisa (being Filipino) and if they did a spread on the burger meat, the spread lacked the flavor. Lastly, the fries and Biscuits were delcious. Palate was amazing! We went for a friend's birthday dinner and the service was amazing! The decoration was super cute and they had live music. The pimento biscuits were delicious and my pork belly breakfast was also really good. I wish the kimchi fried rice tasted a bit more like kimchi, but otherwise the pork belly was tender and very well cooked. They brought my friend some cotton candy and brownies for her birthday. Will be coming back to try their cocktails. read more

I had Mother's day brunch here and it did not dissapoint. I enjoyed the decor,the service and the food. I love the vibrant purple velvet chairs and welcoming sitting area. I look forward to dinning at the luxurious round table in the future. There was a lady playing the guitar and singing while we were there and she was good. We did a 4 course meal and I devoured each course plus whatever my kids didnt finish. My favorite was the banana bread french toast with fried chicken but they were all delicious. The strawberry tres leche was different but still good. The only complaint is the very cheap bottle of champagne they use for mimosas. I will gladly order the fancy drinks instead of a bottomless mimosa next time. read more

We had ordered our drinks and waited quite some time before the drinks came out. The mushroom drink presentation was firey and the glass was in a shape of a mushroom the drinks were overall decent except the purple rain: too much coconut flavor overwhelming the ube We ordered the half bird and ranch steak/eggs The chicken was crispy but dry and without flavor. One of my favorite places in the arts district for a tasty bite or a fancy drink! They are immaculate with their presentation! They always have a special menu when Ive gone, but my favorite drink is the rose one. Service is always great, and they have cozy tables to sit at.
