Stopped in for a quick lunch. They have a pizza special, but I wanted something different. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan sandwich. The food was delicious, Sandwich was hot, cooked fresh. I have seen other yelp reviews say service was not that great. I would agree that it's slow, with no one in the restaurant. Drinks should come quickly. However, fresh cooked Italian food does take some time if you want it done right. The ambience here is amazing. On the outside it looks like a strip mall but once you step through the doors, the decor and tables look clean, neat and tidy. The kitchen also appears to be neat and clean. I am disappointed that the drinks took a little longer and the server took a little while to come around to check on me. My biggest disappointment with this place is instead of having Diet Coke. They switched to Coke zero. It is a nice tiny little gem, once you step inside you forget what's going on outdoors because it is nice in here. Music is on point and very relaxing. read more

I'm on the fence about this place. It's a little hole in the wall on Shoppers Lane in Covina. It's not the most appealing shopping center, but it does have parking along the front as well as a lot across the street. The menu has a nice variety of pasta dishes, pizzas, sandwiches and salads. I ordered the Pasta with Mushrooms with Marinara Sauce, which came with a side salad and garlic knots. I'm not a fan of garlic, but the garlic knots were good! Plus they were bite size. The side salad was good and I got it with a ranch on the side. I did try the Italian dressing, which was told it was made in house. It was mush better than the ranch. My pasta was average and there was nothing special about it. Not too many mushrooms either. Service was ok. My water was never refilled nor was I ever asked if I wanted more. I've been to much better Italian restaurants with great service. This one was subpar in my opinion. read more

Waited over 40 minutes for a simple baked pasta which was probably made with canned sauce. No flavor to the food what so ever! When we showed up the restaurant was empty. I waited over one hour and still did not get to eat my food. The service was beyond slow. I watched as other patrons sat down after me got served before me, which were lighter skinned than me and my husband. I am not sure if this was racial or because of my sexuality. I am beyond appalled. The icing on the cake was that when we asked for our food to go it was thrown in the container and spilled before we even got to eat it. for 41.99 that I spent all I got was 6 raviolli and a piece of lasangna wrapped with riccotta. After the waitress was confronted about the issue she dismissed us and went on with her day. This review does not justify the discrimination we have experienced here. I ordered linguine with olive oil , garlic and butter it was dry I asked for butter server said I'll take it back and fix it. When I got my linguine back it had butter mixed with water and most of taste gone. So I just asked to take it off the bill since it has no taste and was not edible. She rudely replied the owner said they fixed it twice and that I needed to pay for it. Keep in mind I never returned it all I needed was more butter. I refused to pay for my meal and she came back and rudely said am only charging you for salad and bread that came with the dinner and that I was not welcome back. Not my fault that waitress was stressed out because cheap owner didn't have another server to help her with at least 10 tables full. The owner should be ashamed not having more people serving that the waitress was so stressed out. Still no excuse for being so rude. What a shame this place is. Service is absolutely horrible. The lady that serves the tables acts like she is doing you a favor by serving you. She is rude, short, and acts like she really doesn't want you there. I've tried the place about three times now because the food is very good. But it's not so good that I will put up with rude behavior. I have a few friends who have eaten here and they all say the same thing. I have been wanting to try this place out for years and I finally convinced my wife to have dinner at Palermo. It is a small place with about 10 tables. There was only 3 tables occupied. Our waitress took our food and drink order right away which was great. Our dining experience went down hill from there. We were sitting for over 15 minutes and we were still waiting on our drinks. The people across from us who came in after us got their drinks right away. As I waved the waitress to our table she was bringing our food. I told her about our drinks and she said she forgot.
