We got it to go! Chicken Alfredo, avocado salad, shrimp scampi and a ton of bread
    Carrie A.

Why have we never eaten here!? It's literally down the street from me and we've never tried it. The portions are huge! We didn't know you could ask for a half order but a happy accident turned into leftovers for lunch the following day. The chicken Alfredo was bomb dot com tell your mom! The shrimp scampi needed a little oomph but was tasty nonetheless. Def give it a try!

Jary's Italian Cuisine was a spot that I drive by on a daily basis for years and years and never thought to give it a try. I always wondered about the drive thru service for an Italian restaurant. The location is on a busy street with consistent flow of traffic, but you can park in the private lot or on the street. It's nestled between a Used Car dealership and the Wienerschnitzel on Arrow Hwy. I looked up the menu and wanted to finally stop by. It's a hole in the wall type of location with outdoor patio style seating. As mentioned, there is a drive thru and also a walkup window to place orders. I had my mind made up to try one of their house bread sandwiches from the menu. The sandwich menu ranges from $11-13, but it comes with one choice of side. You can get fries, salad, or a cold pasta salad. I chose the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with the cold pasta salad. It was priced at $11.25. The staff was super hospitable and friendly. The order didn't take longer than 10 minutes to receive and I ate it there in the patio. Upon receiving the tray, I was floored in a good way. The size of the sandwich and the pasta salad was plentiful! I couldn't believe all of it was $11.25. The way everything costs nowadays, any small business that serves generous portions at affordable prices automatically makes me want to support them. As for the sandwich and pasta salad, both were memorable! The pesto chicken was stacked and packed with flavor. The bread was soft and compliments it well. The cold pasta salad was my favorite, it was fresh and flavored and had layers of textures. I'm happy I took the time to eat at Jary's. I will most certainly add them to my list of lunch spots. Their affordable prices make me want to come back more often and try more items. I hope more people decide to stop by and try Jary's. Thank you to Jary's for the great Italian food!

Cajun Jambalaya looks and tastes more like Alfredo or something. Still fine, just not what I was expecting :(

Having lived in the area for now 20+ years, I finally popped in, was I pleasantly surprised. Wasn't super hungry, but decided to order the chicken portobello mushroom sandwich. The chicken was great, grilled, and the fresh toppings were amazing. The bread was fresh and almost homemade. I asked for the sandwich without mayonnaise and believe it or not they got the order right. The fries left a little to be desired, but, not the worst I've ever had. I'll definitely be back and give this place. Another try as their menu seemseemed to have a lot of different things that I would like to try. As a suggestion, management may encourage the staff to be a little bit more friendly. This is not a dealbreaker for me.

Literally found this spot today never even knew what it was me and my coworker were trying to find something quick to eat on our lunch break and we wanted to Italian came across this place never in my mind what I have thought this was Italian food on the go came in today had ravioli and side salad. My friend had chicken fettuccine and a chicken salad so good definitely definitely came back later on today and got a shrimp fettuccine and another chicken fettuccine for my son. I definitely will say this place is really good and a must go and try. I never would've thought a little hole in the wall spot can have so much flavor. I am definitely going to this place again and again.

Ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. Upon returning home and opening the container the chicken was missing from the sandwich. Very disappointed. I called to notify in which they said they will credit for next time.

Ask the Community - Jary's Italian Cuisine

How much are your party trays for the pasta?

Chicken tequila serves (15) $73.99 Chicken Alfredo serves (15) 73.99

Do you still do catering or party trays?

    Yes we do!

How big is the Full vs Half size? How many does each serve?

The half is enough for one and we order the full for 2. I think it would depend on if you're big eaters or not. If you're big eaters, then the full wouldn't not be enough for 2, but you'd have leftovers if only 1 person ate it.

Is the food as good as when it was El Appetiz?

It's actually the same or better.

We ordered the pizza, chicken parmesan, and pesto pasta, and every single dish was outstanding. The pizza was delicious, the chicken parm was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the pesto pasta was absolutely incredible. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food. What really made the experience special, though, was the kindness of the people who work there. I placed a to-go order and arrived early, expecting to just wait outside, but they welcomed me in, offered me water, and made me feel completely at home. Since I had my baby with me, they even helped carry my order out to the car. That level of genuine kindness is rare these days. Great food is one thing, but great food paired with genuinely wonderful people is what makes a place unforgettable. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for incredible Italian food and exceptional service.

I've been here quite a few times and Friday July 3rd was the first time I was highly disappointed with them. I get it, they were busy with the festivities happening down the street but I understand now why they have a help wanted sign in their window. From the time we sat down it took them well over 10 minutes to get our drinks, we had to remind them to bring our drinks, another 10 minutes from taking our drink order to even take our food order, and they came by to refill our water glasses during that time but never even bothered to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks after we had to remind them to even bring our drinks. I ordered the half and half plate and the cheese raviolis were still chewy. We all had spaghetti as the half and half comes with it and they didn't disclose to any of us that the meatballs would be extra after asking us if we wanted meatballs with our spaghetti. We just all assumed ok maybe it's included. I know it's been a bit since I've been there but so much has changed and that's kind of a bummer because I really used to enjoy them

This is a welcoming breath of fresh air when a lot of brunch spots have hours long waitlists or need to book reservations weeks in advance. This brunch spot features large portions at good prices, though now it is okay prices given they surcharge extra 40 cents per egg so each dish will cost $1-2 more so it can add up. We got the breakfast burrito, pork belly sandwich, pork belly hash, and steak and potato. The breakfast burrito is pretty large and hearty, with a good amount of eggs and potatoes. The pork belly sandwich has lots of sauce but the pork belly is still fairly crispy and hearty. The salad on the side was okay. The pork belly hash features crispy pork belly with a boat load of potatoes, along with spinach, caramelized onions, and roasted bell peppers. There was probably 8 pieces of pork belly so it is okay portions compared to a very hefty amount of potatoes. I love the flavor of the pork belly and how nice they made the egg over easy. The steak and potato was okay. Steak was overcooked though it was still tender. Yet again there was a hefty amount of potatoes. We also got nutella bomboloni which is a fried donut. They do it differently as the nutella is placed on top. The bombolonis I am familiar with have stuffing inside and optionally sugar outside. This was a bit sweet but it was fairly low commitment as it was $3.50. Service is decent as they check up on you a few times. I wished they gave less ice for water as the water refills were iced water too, so each refill you get less and less of actual water as ice accumulates in the cup. Food-wise, if you like the greasy spoon type of brunch spots here, then you will like it. I am more a quality over quantity person, so this was just okay of an experience for me. They just stuff lots of breakfast potatoes to make the dish filling, but in itself you are not getting that much more value than any other sit-down restaurants.

Here's why: Friday @ 12:45p, I called to place a catering order to be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) @ 5:15pm - over $200 in food. Everything was confirmed to be good-to-go. Saturday @ 5:30p as I was finishing the prep for 50 people arriving to our house (25 of them kids), I realized the food hadn't arrived so I called for the ETA. The girl was baffled at the inquiry - there was no such order - she then discovered it had been wrongly inputted as an order for Sunday! She immediately put me on hold to transfer me to the woman who incorrectly inputted my order w/o relaying any of the info to her. So when the woman got on the phone, I had to repeat the info, wait for her to understand & connect the dots, and discuss a solution. All I got was an offer to check with the kitchen and, if they weren't too busy, get the order made. She never apologized, but did agree to "rush" the order. Food arrived an hour later (after our guests arrived). No discount on the receipt, no apology - they did include a container of about a dozen mini-cookies - gee, thanks. not even enough for 1/2 our guests. And, to add insult to injury, some of the ham sandwiches had hard cartilage/ham bone (not sure) in them. Chew carefully I guess. Maybe the ownership changed b/c this is not what I expected from PPP .. how disappointing.

I like the dividers that give you a bit of privacy and cut down on conversational noise from other tables. We would have sat in the bar, but there was a large group scheduled in there, so we sat in the dining room. Next time we'll try the bar room. The things that stood out were their delicious, rich sauces. The flavors were spot on. They cook their pasta perfect to my family's taste, with a bite (al dente), but done enough that it's not chewy or floury. Fair prices. And yummy desserts. We really enjoyed the tasty Crab Cake app. We all liked our pasta, particularly me, who had the Mushroom Ravioli with the same sauce that comes on the Beef and Mushroom Ravioli. I think there was a Mushroom Ravioli special with a different sauce, but they did it with the sauce I really wanted to try, which was much appreciated! We enjoyed the Spumoni pie--Spumoni ice cream with a graham cracker(?) pie crust. They also made us a traditional Affogato, because that's what my dad likes. But I want to try their version next time. I'm really excited to go back and try their pizza. We'll get one with sausage, since the sausage on my dad's pasta was really outstanding. The host was a gentleman and was welcoming and very friendly. We were taken to our seats right away, having reservations. We were lucky enough to have Catherine as our waitress, and she was an absolute delight in always. We started with wine, their focaccia bread with a delicious pickled relish, and the arugula salad, which was incredible. And that's where the wheels fell off the bus. To my own fault and sincere regret, why would I order anything but Italian food in an Italian restaurant, especially when Italian food is my absolute favorite. But no, we took the side route and my wife ordered the pork chop and I fell on the trap of ordering the ribeye steak. Will start with a pork chop that was just pretty good. And that's my wife's favorite protein dish so that's saying a lot. As for the ribeye, I was asked if I wanted it medium rare which of course absolutely that's the standard. However, when it came, I instantly knew this was going to be a bad piece of steak. It was all of about 3/8 of an inch thick and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. Sure enough I cut into it and it was absolutely dead gray and the taste was just the same. The taste was just mediocre at best and rather than make a big thing about it and return it I just powered through. After all, there's only so much you can do with a 38 inch ribeye. As an expert in meat grilling, even though it was a $28 steak, I would completely drop it from the menu because it's just not worthwhile at all. Otherwise get a 1 inch prime cut and charge $45 and make that a winner. As for dessert, how could I not order the homemade tiramisu and I was glad we did. It was perfection. So, will we be back? Yes, we will for two reasons. One, we loved the ambience and setting along with our server. Too, we intend to try what we would hope to be their strong suit, which is the pastas. We're not fish lovers at all so forget all of that, we'll go for the mainstream pasta dishes, and hope that they can restore our feelings for this gem of a restaurant.
