However, Jary's Italian Cuisine (Glendora) is that rare pasta joint with a drive-thru! On this day, I ordered at the counter instead of the drive-thru. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I informed Staff that I'll be ordering "for here." There's a small roofed patio with tables for a casual dine-in. Later, food was placed on a plastic tray, and they called my name to pick up at the counter. Staff worked hard. My food took 10 minutes and 34 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I appreciated the Chicken Alfredo ($16.99 - Full Serving). The portions are very big. Also, its noodles tasted fresh and bouncy. The pasta's chicken carried a clean, charred flavor, but it was a little dry. And the cheese sauce was a bit thin and drippy. However, the food felt well-intentioned and satisfying. The light aftertaste of cheese had pleasantly lingered. Regarding ambiance, it's barebones. I ate in an aluminum container with a plastic fork. The location is primarily an order-and-leave location. However, the roofed patio has 12 small tables. Also, it was surprisingly very clean. There was no music, but the sound of chirping birds and zooming cars were very audible. Jary's Italian Cuisine was a spot that I drive by on a daily basis for years and years and never thought to give it a try. I always wondered about the drive thru service for an Italian restaurant. The location is on a busy street with consistent flow of traffic, but you can park in the private lot or on the street. It's nestled between a Used Car dealership and the Wienerschnitzel on Arrow Hwy. I looked up the menu and wanted to finally stop by. It's a hole in the wall type of location with outdoor patio style seating. As mentioned, there is a drive thru and also a walkup window to place orders. I had my mind made up to try one of their house bread sandwiches from the menu. The sandwich menu ranges from $11-13, but it comes with one choice of side. You can get fries, salad, or a cold pasta salad. I chose the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with the cold pasta salad. It was priced at $11.25. The staff was super hospitable and friendly. The order didn't take longer than 10 minutes to receive and I ate it there in the patio. Upon receiving the tray, I was floored in a good way. The size of the sandwich and the pasta salad was plentiful! I couldn't believe all of it was $11.25. The way everything costs nowadays, any small business that serves generous portions at affordable prices automatically makes me want to support them. As for the sandwich and pasta salad, both were memorable! The pesto chicken was stacked and packed with flavor. The bread was soft and compliments it well. The cold pasta salad was my favorite, it was fresh and flavored and had layers of textures. I'm happy I took the time to eat at Jary's. I will most certainly add them to my list of lunch spots. First time customer here and I enjoyed the novelty of drive-through Italian food. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, a side salad and a tiramisu. The young man who took my order was efficient and friendly, and my food was ready quickly. I liked the pasta and meatballs. They were piping hot, there was a decent amount of sauce and the dish was very comforting. The basil garnish added some freshness and a wonderful scent when I opened the pasta container. I typically prefer a tiramisu with a more slightly bitter chocolate, but it was still delicious and a nice light dessert after the pasta. The serving is served burning hot and decent postions Big chunks of green peppers, squash, shrooms, zuccini, carrots & lil broccoli...cooked aldente! Rosy pasta sauce is perfection. 6 is pretty hard to beat. Ill say the tiramisu could be better. Pretty presentation but $5.99 for tastless no liquor...meh. i mean it was good-I liked it. But wouldnt probably add a dessert next time. For bread portion for small or large pasta is one roll. Each serving should have 2 rolls with a butter. Better yet, opt for a french loave with two slices toasted with garlic butter. Dessert and boring bread are not a deal breaker but could for sure ramp up the wow factor! Id love to see a $4 meatless small garden salad add on with some bomb ranch and soft mozzarella on top. I wont pay $12 for a full salad but would add on a small $4 with my pasta! I kinda don't want to write this review because I don't want our spot to blow up, but here goes.... Whoever this Jary is, blessings to you child. Whatever magic you put into the lemon caper sauce with salmon is just pure ecstasy from above. The perfectly grilled red potatoes and mixed vegetables accompanied are just bonus. Ever since I first tasted this delicious meal, I can't bring myself to order anything else. My hub/son often split a pasta dish, and they all look equally high quality. Tonight they had the classic chicken fettuccine with rolls. I don't do gluten but if I did, Jary's is where I would indulge in my pasta filled dreams. Not a whole lot if dinner conversation- but that's because we're having a moment with our food. This is definitely a drive through spot that serves restaurant quality but I suppose in a nice California sunny day, eating on their small patio would be nice. Room for about 4 families so not too huge. This place is on Arrow highway sandwiched between a Weinerschintzel and used car dealer but ~ dang ~ it's a hidden gem. Ordered meatball sandwich with pasta salad and had it delivered from DoorDash. I understand the sandwich not being very warm upon delivery is quite possibly a DoorDash issue so I'm not going to discuss that. But the sandwich was so soggy I'm not sure if they toasted the interior of the bun but perhaps if they toasted the bun (entire bun) before adding the ingredients it might keep it from becoming soggy later. The pasta salad was interesting. It was made with linguine so it made it a bit difficult to eat and the dressing didn't taste very Italian. It tasted a little bit more Asian and the addition of crispy noodles was a bit different. They were terrible and when I requested butter they kindly gave me the nastiest fake butter I've ever had. Jarys Has been at this location for the last four years which used to be an old in and out Burger. We ordered the lasagna and the portobello chicken sandwich. This came with a pasta salad, which was good. I ordered the cream Brulé for dessert. This was also delicious The customer service is great friendly and courteous. I got to give it to the Mexican Cook who knows how to put together Italian cuisine. The prices are reasonable. The only reason I gave this restaurant a four-star rating is because they do not have a restroom. They have a drive-through and ample parking is available.
