Food is great but the service..... We were seated and I noticed on the black and brown tile floor was a napkin and another piece of paper. It took several minutes before a waitress came and asked us for a drink order. I kept watching many employees walk past me and none picked up the paper on the floor. We got our food and started eating. I wish I counted how many employees went past ignoring the garbage on the floor. Finally I had enough. I went to the counter and asked for a manager or owner. One girl came over and asked the issue but she wasn't a manager or owner because there was none there. I told her she was part of the issue. I asked her to look at the floor where I sit. She did and saw the garbage. She ordered a kid to pick it up. She and my waitress gave LAME EXCUSES as to not seeing the white garbage on the black/brown floor. They apologized but that was it. My best friend and I are on a long weekend mini-vacation and on the way back from doing some guy shit like shooting guns (see my review) decided to get some food at Two Guys From Italy restaurant. I didn't do a Yelp check until I already got here, but we had a decent lunch. This place seems to have been here a long time with some dated tables, chairs, and booths, but we were mostly comfortable in one of the booths. There's certainly enough tables and nice back room for parties. The menu is full of your Italian favorites, and reasonable prices. I went with a personal size white pizza with up-charged meatball and ricotta. The meatballs I don't think were homemade. There was plenty of ricotta, and the mozzarella tasted good and not processed. The crust was nice and crispy. Not too thin or thick. I also had an Italian Wedding Soup which also was not homemade but was just fine. My friend had a nice $4 glass of white, and a Stromboli with ham, pepper, and onion, and came with a hefty bowl of red sauce on the side. He did he liked it fair enough, but it was not in the top-10 of Stromboli. Service was attentive, the men's room had one of those five foot tall floor to wherever old fashioned toilets, and the place was clean. Overall, a nice lunch. Other patrons there seemed to be on a first name basis with the staff, so there must be regulars that come here. $25 not including tip for a personal pizza with extra toppings, Stromboli, and glass of wine. read more

My family has been going here for generations. Staff is very friendly. Pizza has always been pretty good. Recently I have not been impressed with the other dishes we had the last few times we have gone. I have been here every year for multiple years and I think their Italian dishes are really sliding in a bad direction. I really want to like Two Guys from Italy in the Honesdale location because the food is pretty consistently good. However, recently we called to see if we could place an order or if they had any pies / slices out for the evening to grab. It was around 825 pm, they close at 9 according to the internet. The phone rang a few times, then someone with a deep voice picked up and yelled NO! We were only a block away so we stopped in. The door was open. My husband explained to them we just called and someone yelled NO and hung up before his wife even spoke on the phone. She laughed and said the person who answered the phone DOESNT EVEN WORK THERE. She said they were closed. She then walked my husband out, closed the door with all her might pulling it shut, locked it, and rolled her eyes. I have heard of this rudeness to customers but never experienced it until now. We ended up calling Elegante in Honesdale, who at least if they do not have food or time to prepare food has indeed told us so in the past. That politeness keeps customers coming back. Maybe the Honesdale location for Two Guys will make some changes because it seems like they are consistently losing potential customers just based on how customers are treated. Or maybe just update the internet hours to say closed at 8 pm instead of 9 pm. read more

Food is inconsistent. Sometimes great, sometimes, eh! The portions sizes change all the time. The pizza pies don't always have sauce and cheese all the way up to the crust. Sometimes the pizza in the display looks a little old. The garlic rolls are amazing. The eggplant parm is excellent sometimes, ok other times. The salads change sizes all the time. Been going to this place for a few years now every time my spouse and I are up in the Poconos. Food is decent. The portions are huge and at a comparable price point. Service is usually decent too. The waitstaff gives you enough space without hovering, refill your water, and are friendly. At least, that's how their service used to be. I ordered the Pasta Primavera and my mom ordered the Pasta Ala Putanesca. We didn't misspeak when we ordered, and it's not like we didn't know what we were ordering. I've had Putanesca before and encouraged my mom to try it. What arrived were two Pasta Primaveras instead. I politely told the waitress "It looks like my mom got the wrong order because my mom's entree doesn't look like a Putanesca, which comes with the olive oil, capers, and black olives. And instead she got a Primavera." The waitress responded in a rude tone with a smirk on her face "I was wondering why she didn't say 'I'll have that too!' Do you still want the Putanesca?" The response was so brazen and illogical that I was at a loss for words. I was at this restaurant to have a catch up with my mom, so I mentally held myself back from going into full on teacher/lawyer mode of "Let's review what you just said" and try to go down a path of logic. My mom and I eventually said "Nevermind." The level of service just declined from there. The waitstaff didn't refill our water glasses and seemed more interested in gathering all of our plates the moment it looked like we were near done with our bread plates and pasta plates... for example, although I finished all the bread on my plate and there's clearly more bread in the basket, doesn't necessarily mean that I'm done with the actual eating of the bread. Also at some point over dinner, I probably had 10 penne pasta left on my plate. I was eating slowly yo have a conversation, and the waitstaff wanted to get my pasta plate already. It was the Friday after Thanksgiving, and the place wasn't even 1/5 full that the kitchen should need our plates right away. I have never felt more unwelcome at this place until today. Our blond waitress messed up our order unapologetically and gaslit us. She and the other staff ignored our water refills and just wanted to rush us out. Took them 15 minutes to put it together, which gave me time to notice the deep cleaning the place needs and I received a sandwich that was hot, with bad tasting American cheese and 2 pieces of thin sliced deli Turkey, no lettuce or tomato. Here we go... Unfortunately, I have to start this review by stating I am disabled. I do not get around well and have to have my order delivered on a chair outside my door. I asked for an order of tortellini with just butter and Parmesan cheese after reviewing the order, they repeated the correct order to me, but I received ravioli and meat sauce. I asked them to please put the order on my chair as I am disabled and I'm afraid of falling. I have them repeat the order and they screwed it all up I ended up almost falling, trying to get this. So a few months ago I tried ordering delivery from here, they told me they don't deliver to my location which is only 12 minutes away when they had just delivered here a week before that, so I went and picked my food up and swore this was the last time I ever eat here since the food isn't that great anymore anyways. Went to this Pizza place tonight with my parents and granddaughter. After waiting 20 minutes , we were seated . Another 20 minutes went by when a waitress finally came over . Asked for our drink order , we gave her that , an appetizer (cheesy breadsticks) order and our dinner order . Since my drink was in a bottle I asked her if she could bring a glass of ice . Appetizer came out it was literally pizza dough with cheese on top , definitely not breadsticks with what I am assuming jar sauce definitely was not homemade. I reminded the waitress again for the glass of ice. Now my father's fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp comes out and no glass of ice. There was so much sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top of his Alfredo. It was literally drenched like they used half a bottle on it and the Alfredo sauce was watery and disgusting. Again, no glass of ice reminded the waitress yet again (honestly how can she forget three times it's a simple request of a glass of ice). Now my granddaughters meatballs comes out. So food is starting to come out one at a time instead of everybody getting served all at once. Finally, our three personal pizzas come out two with just cheese and mine with mushrooms and onions. The mushrooms were canned mushrooms, not fresh and there were no onions. Meanwhile, another different waitress brings over my glass of ice. I tell her that there's no onions on my pizza, she brings the waitress over who says oh he didn't do that. She grabs my pizza, brings it to the kitchen Comes back with chopped raw onions on my pizza, not cooked or anything! Who does this? At this point I am done. Everybody's food. Came at different times my father's done eating my granddaughter's done eating. I just told her take it off the bill. We were never asked if we want refills on our sodas as three of them got fountain drinks and never asked if we wanted dessert. The waitress never came over to ask how we were doing or anything and then when it came to asking for a to go box and a bill the waitress once again is nowhere to be found. We asked another waitress and she brought us our check. I left her five dollar tip and I felt like leaving her nothing she should be grateful. I even left five dollars . Service truly was that bad downright awful. The food is disgusting. Nothing is homemade I mean nothing. When I was leaving, I watch the pizza going through a conveyor belt. The place is run down and has old decor . You can see the hallway outside of the kitchen was filthy as well. It seemed very chaotic among the staff tonight. I will never be back. read more

It's just took a few minutes for the server to greet us and get us a table, but when she did the service was excellent. Decent pizza but ... We have stopped in for a few slices of pizza on several occasions. My wife has been bugging me to go for dinner. I got a meatball parm hero. The meatballs were ok but again meh. My wife's eggplant parm was not all that good. Very heavily breaded and the sauce was just ok. Eggplant had a typical bitter taste which can be leached out using salt water. All this would have gotten them a 3, but the service was not very good. Waitress was very pleasant, but she never asked us if we wanted refills on the ice tea. Failure to keep my water glass filled and letting my ice tea go dry reduced this review to 2 stars. (and the tip to 15%). Yes you took my order and delivered my food. read more
