Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Genuinely shocking. Our AC broke and we had one of their technicians come that same day. They told us what the issue was and what part we needed to repair it. After trying to upsell us for several thousands of dollars, we agreed just on the part we need, and the technician told us it would be ready maybe next day, or in two days in the worst case. The next day we called back to get a status. No one we talked to could tell us when the part would be available. They told us someone would have to call us back to tell us. Hours later, no call. Every time we called back they kept saying they have no eta on the part and no eta on when they could even give us an eta on the part, and someone would have to call us back (and no one ever did). We got so frustrated we ended up canceling and getting it fixed by someone else that same day. Now, the cancelation -- a whole other mess. I was told by one person the cancelation was done, we would get an email confirmation and my money back. Days later, no confirmation, no refund. I call again, and AGAIN I'm told someone else will need to call me back, because the person who is actually able to help me is "in a meeting." I call again, and it turns out everyone left for the day, and the person I spoke to says she doesn't know why they didn't call me back before leaving. Just unbelievably unprofessional and infuriating. Still waiting for my refund. Awful company, don't do business with them. read more

A mis-diagnosis cost me over $2,000.00. After the repair the SAME problems continued for weeks. They were out here at least 8 time after taking my money trying to fix the same problem. They REFUSED to relent and admit they made a mistake. At one point they blamed it on another issue and wanted over $400.00 more. I had a supervisor come out who said that the additional $400.00 repair would not work. They never fixed the problem but took my $$$$$. read more

18 months ago we decided to replace our 20 year old a/c Wyatt new more efficient unit. We decided to go with Palm Air because they were the company that serviced our development and we thought they were honest and reliable. MISTAKE! for the past 2 months I have been dealing with service issues with both of my units. they have not been very honest nor reliable. they have not been very customer oriented. Called for a technician to do a check-up on my Air Conditioning system. The technician PLM-Nelson, Guerra arrived and began to try and sell everything he possibly could sell. He tried to put considerable pressure on me to enter into a service contract immediately and on the spot, as well as purchase a number of items from Palm Air Air Conditioning. I have been having my A/C serviced for several years by Emerson and Rome A/C and both have recently been purchase by Palm Air. Not only did the Tech try to overcharge on everything, he was extremely rude and arrogant, making it clear that he was the expert and would decide what I needed. Not the kind of service person you want in your house. I am not sure if this experience was a result of the company values or a single individual. However, I have contacted to company and am waiting for a response. Update on this review: Palm Beach Air Air conditioning sent another technician to exams my air conditioner and he was great. He is what an HVAC technician should be. Jacques's Bean was the Technician and did an excellent job explaining everything. He comes with my highest recommendation and reflects extremely well on Palm Air. Thank you Palm Air for Mr. Bean. For readers, I would never recommend using Mr. Nelson under any circumstances. Decided late April, 2024 to replace 2 3-ton A/C systems. Chose Trane for high efficiency. Called Palm Air, referred by my previous A/C provider that stopped doing residential service. They were courteous and professional and I contracted for the 2 systems. They were installed quickly and perform well to date (6/2024). That's the good news. Now the bad news: after sales customer support is awful! I had to call them to ask when my systems would be inspected by the city. They replied that first application was rejected by city and they have to resubmit (they never called me, I had to call them). Then there was the issue of a circuit breaker: they needed to replace a circuit breaker in my panel to match system. 2 weeks went by and so I had to call them as ask about it. They then installed it (how long had they had it?). Finally, the big one: at the time of price negotiations I was advised of the FPL and tax rebates. I asked if there were any other rebates being applied and the rep said no. I then went to Trane website and found that my systems qualified for $650 per system manufacturer rebate (a promotion running from March to May 2024). I called Trane to see how I get my rebate and they said it comes though the dealer. Fine. I then called Palm Air and they said they would look into it. I followed up no fewer than 6 times and no one there would resolve this issue. It is still outstanding. The way I see it Palm Air still owes me $1300. I suggest considering after sales support carefully when selecting an A/C dealer. My two systems cost me over $24K and I was assured at time on signing that they would facilitate my processes along the way. They did not. I cannot recommend this firm. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Unit installed a little over a year ago. Stopped cooling. Called for service. Tech arrives, says he doesn't have a Leak Detection tool, adds Freon and leaves. Damages my Dryer Vent hose and leaves. No quote no invoice. Less than a week later, its not cooling. 2nd tech arrives, doesn't have working batteries for his Leak Detection tool, end up having to give him batteries. Says there is a leak. Resolders and adds Freon. Unit not cooling before he leaves, he says it takes 24 hours to cool. Present a bill for over $1k for 1 hour of Labor without ever giving a quote. Who charges $1k per hour?? Call office to complain and they remove the bill. 24 hours later, not cooling. Send another tech. Literally states he is only going to add Freon and not fix it since the last bill wasn't paid. But there is no outstanding invoice. Made several calls to management.. always "busy" and will call back but never do. STAY AWAY. I have never encountered such ridiculous service. read more

Terrible dispatching and customer service. My advice is to not sign an agreement of any kind. They make an appointment with an 8 hour window and then cancel it without notification. When questioned they are trained to apologize for the lack of communication, or bad experience, but they do not follow up with service. I called their competitor and I have a tech able to come out either same day or the following. I've been treated poorly by their some dispatcher for my area. I've paid the price as I've been living with an 80 degree bedroom for about a month. I might lose a lot of money as I paid the maintenance agreement, but at least I have a professional company with a strong reputation able to dispatch service. Do business with Palm Air if you are ready to be hounded for reviews. While they did what seemed like a decent cleaning, the people I found after I'd given them the door, "CES" or Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc did much better and didn't find a bunch of "thing that need attention". What really burned me was that I got not one but two automated "requests" for a good review followed up by what seemed like a personal appeal from the owner to give them a review, but it was from a DO-NOT-REPLY address so when I replied at length Google was unable to send my reply. When I called them to let them know that I had not written their blasted review because my wife was in the Delray Trauma Center. Their response was along the lines of well when she gets out can you do one? Obviously, I told them I was switching companies, but I was kind enough not to write a review at that time. However, today, I received a call from them wanting to schedule the "next visit." Chutzpah! read more

Can I give Negative Stars !!!! I have an 850 SQ Ft home and purchased a New AC unit 2.5 tons from Palm Aire and its STILL not working properly . I think they sold me a LEMMON !!!! They have been out over 2 dozen times upsold other products to me for the fix and its still NOT WORKING correctly spent over $8,000 for this unit I would be better off with wall units my next recourse is to file a claim on their General Liability policy as no one listens that there is an issue. I have been asking for a COI to be sent to my HOA so that I can get the mintainance I contracted for. I have been told multiple times that it would be email to my HOA. A few days ago I called I gave the building managers email address. You said you would send it immediately. The last I checked she had not received it. I have been asking since summer of 2023 to get the COI so that I can get maintenance. I do not understand why this is such an issue. Had issues withy AC called my former AC company who were useless in helping us with our AC. Called Palm Air they responded in a short period of time and found that the problem was in a circut board our system was old and the cost a new board was not worth it, they gave us a temporary loan of a portable AC unit to hold us over for the week end. It was decided to replace the unit with a new system and within two days I was back up with a new AC, The team from Palm Air was professional, caring and very knowledgeable of the job that they were doing ,Chuck and Anzani were both two guys that knew what they were doing, and when the job was completed the clean up that they did, was better then what our house keeper does. We had an emergency call on Sunday as our A/c stopped working late Saturday nite. The tech was beyond useless. Was here 15 min charged $150 and said it was an electrical problem, nothing he could fix and we needed to call an electrician. Then we paid for an electrician to make an emergency call and he showed us that it was NOT electrical. Called Palm Air to try to get them to come back and after 8 hours and 20 calls with no response we're told someone would come in the morning. This morning the tech started looking and said it's not compressor but seemed puzzled about what it might be. 2.5 hours later he says it IS the compressor you need a new one. I've already spent $150 for the first emergency call, $350 for the unneeded electrician and now I have NO trust in Palm Air. So no I do not trust anything they say at this point and if I do need a new compressor I won't deal with this company EVER. Poor customer service, ignorant technicians, very disappointed. I've owned my home for 9 years and Palm Air has been our go to HVAC contractor. They've replaced my two systems and done all the maintenance work. They promptly deal with problems and are reliable. They show up when they say they will. Their technicians are friendly and knowledgeable. They are respectful of my home and do clean work. I'd absolutely recommend Palm Air. read more

He's going to be one week without AC every time that we call the company only a call center answer and they never call back last week. We lost our AC so the technician took one day and a half to arrive and when he arrived, he claims that the motor of the sun is dead, so she say that he have one and his truck for a place and in that moment, we inform him that our machine is brand new four year and we have warranty so he got upset he in a rude way paperwork of the warranty of course we have a phone there. We pull them out and after that everything changed suddenly he said that they find that he's having his thug with the work and we have to wait Monday and Tuesday Wednesday and no one calls. No one answered. I will call you don't have any feedback so I assume that they will continue playing with us. They will not return our calls and they will not on our warranty. I had a problem with my AC today during this heat wave. My thermostat was at 85 degrees and indicated a problem. I called Palm Air and they said they would try to have someone at my home after 4:00, my response was today? Barrington called that he was on his way by 3:30. He fixed the problem, explained the situation and I couldn't be more pleased. He also checked everything out to make sure that everything else was in good order. This service call was a complete disaster. Had been a palm air customer for years, but whether new ownership, management or system, entire experience was disappointing Call for service. Without scheduling an appointment they showed up twice at our home unannounced while we are not there on the two separate days we had an appointment scheduled. They completely blew us off and then showed up the next morning unannounced. In the past, you always reached someone in the office, now you reach an answering service that is a complete joke called multiple times and no one could give any information or get any anyone to return our calls. Only good thing was the air conditioning was working or the one week of chaos during 90° temperatures would have been a disaster But once our tech, Tristan, arrived, all went well. I called this company since it is listed as a Carrier authorized dealer. The person assisting me claimed that my unit was not under warranty. I told her that I confirmed with carrier that it was still under warranty. I even have the document. I asked what made her think it wasn't under warranty and she said she checked with the pompano beach distributor. Frustrated, I decided to call the distributor, and found a warranty look up on their website. Well, I found my warranty. I spoke to another HVAC company and was told that no one wants to do warranty work for carrier because they have to spend hours on the phone with them, plus they have to wait 60 days for credit for parts. This other company also quoted me an install price almost the same price on install without a warranty. Clearly, if there is no enormous monetary gain, none of these companies are interested. So much for customer service. I just don't understand why she had to flat out lie to me. read more

The salesman came out assessed the size, space and efficiency of the unit that would best meet our needs. One salesman stood out. Victor, from Palm Air left an excellent impression. He looked us in the eye and spoke to us, rather than at us. He answered all our questions in a friendly, professional manner. We chose Palm Air because of Victor. The next day we met Alex and Jose, the installers. They were awesome. It is hard to make an air handler look good, but ours does!! Both of these guys have a ton of pride in their work, and it shows. Sorry I was with design air for a long time They got taken over by palm air Had them out twice paid service call on 1st visit tried to charge for 2nd visit for same problem but we politely refused. Same problem is occurring so I called the office today. Receptionist VERY RUDE told me they would charge to come out again let me just say it is not the fact I would be charged it was the tone and rudeness that was the problem ! I recently bought a home in Boca Raton and my AC was throwing off too much humidity and worse my wife said the house smelled like dirty socks! We were given Palm Air's name by our next door neighbor. I called and spoke to Seema who was polite, efficient and she set me up with Bruce, who I discovered is a highly trained technician. We described our concerns. He outlined a couple possibilities and within a hour he identified a clogged drain line and dirty filter as the culprits. He suggested a Service Plan and that would include having our AC coil cleaned. He gave us a full explanation of how much the work would cost. Bruce is a great ambassador for his company and we would use Palm Air again. read more
