I really like this place. Every time I come to this area I make sure I stop by. The staff, especially Taniya, is really great.

I showed up at 10am. They open at 9 and it was closed. Me another guy were outside waiting. Then I called and they don't even have a voice mail. The he parking attendant said a lot of people have been complaining that they aren't open. I pay a monthly membership. I will be canceling it AND demanding a refund for the last 2 months. THEY SCAM YOU. DO NOT COME HERE. I was lured into "trying out" the sunbed before committing to a membership by the manager. She specifically told me they can comp the walk in rate for me to experience it before deciding on a membership. Then when I decided to go for the membership they secretly snuck in the daily walk in rate and then acted like it was out of their control to refund me that simple $35 fee. It was an ongoing month by month grueling process for me to fight back for that fee back. You mean to tell me it's easy to overcharge a guest but you cannot simply refund them the money through your computer? Did I really have to go through corporate to have this problem resolved? Will never be returning because of the extremely poor, act of service. DO NOT GO HERE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. read more

I went to this place cause I was coming out in a wedding, and wanted to look tan!! They made sign all kinds of forms and me trusting them thinking it was just a waiver form and not sucking me into a membership!! Luckily I checked my accounts and noticed charges from them. I called them and they insisted that I signed an agreement for a membership! I never agreed to any sort of membership. I never went back after that one time since I don't live in the area. Terrible customer care. I canceled my account last year during COVID, called afterwards twice to no response, was still billed monthly. Finally got customer care on the phone 11 months later, refused to refund any of the monthly charges even with zero visits. Customer care couldn't have been nicer when we spoke, but the lack of communication, response and the concern with my billing was unacceptable. Would not recommend. read more

I started coming to this Palm Beach Tan during Covid and it has become a part of my weekly (almost daily) regimen!! The staff are so friendly- they have come to know me, my tanning preferences and are always helpful whenever I have questions. They provide such good advice on which products to use for whatever you are wanting to focus on. Not only is the staff great, their equipment is well kept and top of the line! I have yet to see any bulbs out in a bed and the spray booth is always thoroughly cleaned. Also, I love they offer robes if you are cocktail tanning! Helpful hints: - upgrade your spray tan with one of the kits they offer. It includes scents, a rapid enhancer to develop the tan faster as well as bronzers- it makes my spray tan last an extra 2-3 days. Plus, the color is customized to match my under tone to look super realistic. - also, they validate parking for the attached parking garage so you do not have to find street parking! read more

I have been tanning since I moved to the states. Originally from Puerto Rico so I can keep that Caribbean swag. I have tried a lot of places but nothing like this specific location. 2 years ago I lived in WEHO and joined PBT it was ok but took a year out and now joining the Santa Monica location. There is no doubt that I am were I need to be. The place is clean at a 100% and sanitized. Every single of the girls here are knowledgeable in all aspects and extremely courteous, professional yet friendly and welcoming. They bring customer service to a whole new level with their warm excellent approach. I listen to their recommendations because it doesn't feel like a sale for the extra add one to me it feel as if they really after the customer's best interest and memorable experience. I've been a Diamond member for several years, most of which have been great. But lately, I get the impression the owners don't care what's going on as long as the money keeps rolling in. The one Platinum level bed has a bulb out, and the only stand-up machine is currently on week TWO of being completely inoperative, this making my premium membership useless. So, I quit. I waited for 20 mins to get to the front desk.. then when the lady told me I had to sign up and it's take a while I offered to let a regular customer go ahead of me. I have been a member of Palm Beach Tan for a year. They closed, as everyone did in March, due to the pandemic. So, I called to cancel my membership and talked to the nicest person who said it was taken care of. I didn't notice until 7 months later that I was still being charged monthly and when I reached out to get the refund, I was refused. They "had no record of cancellation" I was told. But, you know what they did have a record of - me, not coming in and not using the services that I was paying for. The thing is, I would have planned to resume my membership after the winter, when things are safer. But, they lost me forever! They stole money from me during a time that every dollar is needed and they lost a loyal customer forever. This business has no integrity. read more

I know people take time to right negative reviews and I have personally called corporate to correct and error several times that has occurred about being grandfathered in to membership so not to "add charge" for Versa Tan. Several people have been cooperative and helpful in corporate and many in the Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Brentwood locations have not. That is why I am taking the time to give a shout out and HUGE PRAISE to JOEY, the manager in the West Hollywood location who has gone above and beyond everyone else to ensure this problem is corrected at least in the three locations I most frequent. He has not only corrected and made notes into my account, but his friendly demeanor and way to listen and correct the problem is above and beyond. His personality is always so polite and welcoming as well. First off I have to say I love these girls!! I startled coming to this location last year when I moved here from NYC!! I will never go to another tanning salon!! I love the fact that I can bring my little pug with me!! This location is always clean and looking amazing. Erin Brittany and the rest of the girls are awesome!! You won't be disappointed!! Update!!! I still love this place. I recently moved back to Venice from NYC. When I got back, to my surprise there was a brand new staff!! I love the girls there!! Please excuse me but I'm bad with names. The manager there is awesome. (Michelle). These ladies are sweet and very helpful. The only negative thing I will say, I feel this place has a huge turn over. I don't like having to get use to new people. I think the upper management is the problems I think giving people with out any type of higher education such as a bachelors in HR or business can lead to high turn overs and a business. Palm Beach Tan can fleece as well as tan you. And Danielle Davila, their District Manager, is not customer-friendly. I last visited Palm Beach November 15, 2019. Months later I noticed they'd charged me $419.75 for December through March - a period I never once visited Palm Beach. So I emailed Danielle. She apologized and immediately offered a refund. She confirmed a refund had been issued and I should check my account, not once but twice. Finally, she wrote there would be no refund. Her rationale: their services were worth more than what I'd paid. For a 4-month period when I never once tanned. Interesting math ! Bottom line: be very very careful before giving this company your credit card information. Here are excerpts from Danielle's emails: July 10, 2020 I am so sorry for any miscommunication. I have gone ahead and submitted a refund request for $419.75. July 17, 2020 I do apologize the for the delay. I will be processing the refund request today. July 25, 2020 We have issued the refund request and it should be in your account within the next 3-5 business days. I love the location on wilshire but this location sucks. The staff is not friendly, and there is only a single spray booth so there are often waits 60 minutes long.. During these long waiting periods I've seen a number of angry customers here talking to the staff, and the staff continuously stating that the policy is what it is. I don't see these same issues at the wilshire location. read more

Beware, they are still abusing their right to charge monthly. This is NOT cool. They also make it quite difficult to cancel membership. I had to go down there twice and raise hell. The Room 3 bed, does not do anything (I dont even sweat a tiny bit with the fans completely off) and a couple of the bulbs are even broken! 90% of the time I drive the extra miles to the Wilshire location just because this isn't even worth the time! Not only does she genuinely care about her customers (she literally knows every name and face by heart...insane), but she's informative, helpful, kind and fulfills all of your tanning dreams. Not to mention, she makes sure every room is thoroughly cleaned prior to a new customer entering it, adheres so all safety protocols and puts the needs of her customers first. Furthermore, her staff are equally as phenomenal. Everyone welcomes you, is helpful, recommends quality products that give you the results you're seeking and they're all-around great people. I have yet to experience any negatives from this place and I can assure you you won't either.
