This is a perfect example of how companies are SO happy to sign you up for membership, but when it comes to cancelling, they become a complete nightmare. I was a member of PBT for over a year and visited a couple locations but primarily went to Jamboree. I started my membership with tanning beds but quickly switched to spray tans (NO to skin cancer for me.) Service was generally pretty good each time I went for a tan. Some employees definitely a lot more friendly and helpful than others. I decided to cancel simply because I did not find myself going enough to justify the monthly payment. Keep in mind, I've recommended many of my gfs here for spray tans. When I went in to cancel, I was told that I missed the deadline and I would be charged for the next month (June). Slightly annoyed but I understood, no big deal. I came back a couple weeks later towards the end of June to get my final spray tan and even asked the "MANAGER" if my membership was cancelled. He was quick to say "yep, you're all good!" Well, July comes and I'm charged yet AGAIN. I made another trip last week to cancel my membership once more. I wouldn't doubt it if they charge my card again to get more money out of me. Won't be recommending PBT to my gfs anymore. read more

I just want to say that this location is now my FAVORITE! Due to Monique and Nick - they made my night...and my next day So, I went in the other night and it was literally a min or two after 10. After working all day, I was preparing for an interview for a new job I REALLY want. So, desperately I wanted to tan that night & not making it in would of SUCKED. I literally was rushed there but I totally didn't think they were going to let me in, but they were so understanding and sweet! They let me get my spray tan and were even super nice about it when I was saying things like," I'll be quick I promise!"...they just were so wonderful - like, 'it's okay' & 'take your time, it's alright'. All I have to say is outstanding customer service and I have been a customer for a long time now... so I really appreciate it when they have people who really stand out to me like Monique and Nick. I've been coming to this tanning location for years even though it has changed names from $3 Tan to Paradise Tan and now to Palm Beach Tan. And I must say that so far, I prefer it when Palm Beach Tan is running it. When I first went in a couple of months ago to try out Palm Beach Tan, Nick greeted me and gave me a tour while telling me about all of the different types of beds. He was very friendly and informative and I ended up signing up for a membership. I've now been a member for a couple of months because it's so hard to quit tanning in the middle of the summer! And in addition, with people as friendly as Nick, Monique, Tabi and Austin usually working, how can one quit? They've known my name since the very beginning and are always a pleasure to see. And yes, if you hit them at peak times, you may have to wait a bit for a bed, but that's just life! So, if you are looking for a tanning location near your home with friendly customer service, this is the place for you! read more

I have always been skeptical of indoor tanning because I burn easy and have family history of skin cancer. I decided to try a mystic tan and was instantly in love. I found a sun kissed glow on my skin. It was not orange like I had always prejudged it would be. Soon I decided to purchase the diamond membership so that I could spray or bed tan whenever and as much as I want. I love the membership and the staff. All of the girls are extremely sweet and reassuring to those of us who are new to the sun kissed glow. Every time I go into the salon no matter how busy it is I feel welcome and at home. The Manager Kim does an excellent job of training her employees and keeps the place running in tip top shape. They are all very knowledgeable in how to get the look you are trying to find and keep your skin safe and taken care of. I am so thankful I came to this salon and love working with this business. I would highly recommend the diamond membership to anyone who is interested in spray as well as bed tan because it is the best value for the money you will pay. You can go spray as much as you want and you can use any of the beds! Shout out to Ali, Marisa, Bethany and Carley as well they are all very sweet and welcoming. Very helpful in many ways as well. I love palm beach tan but the personnel here UNFORTUNATELY IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I usually go to the corona location and love the girls their. I am in this area since my bf is out this way however I do not recommend this location. Long story short the manager was training a new hire :( bummer because she was horrible. I haven't been to palm beach since February and I changed my credit card info and according to the manager im responsible for deactivating the account although I spoke with another location about the card info changing. Instead of saying let me see what we can do or let's get your new card etc. The attitude automatically was you need to pay for the full balance plus today's tan. I was thinking I'm not paying anything with that attitude ......what a way to train the trainee for (CUSTOMER SERVICE). I would like to advise anybody going to the location or thinking about a tan experience go to another location. I got on yelp and found a great location in Tustin called Island tan. Top notch customer service four 1/2 stars has been around for 30+ years and my mystic tan was amazing! read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a tanning pro. I've gone spastically for the past 8 years. I came in because I saw the 19.95 monthly special. This special is for the bronze membership. Morgan assisted me in signing up and explained the billing process and how to cancel. She offered me a tour of the facility but I was on my lunch and didn't have time. She asked about my skin and how it reacts in the sun then recommended a length of time. The tanning bed and room was clean for the most part (there was some lotion on the chair in the room). Once I was done Morgan then gave me the rundown of all the different brands and types of lotions which was extremely helpful since I had no idea what the difference between a bronzer or intensifier was. I ended up purchasing one. I came back the next day and was in an out in 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this place. Also the memberships are honored at all locations which is great! read more

Although this location can get busy during the weekends the staff is amazing at communicating and works with you when you have issues. Palm Beach Tan has it going on people! Very high-tech~!! No fighting for parking, No Sand, No crowds and no need for hours under the sun. This is for sure my new beach! I can absolutely see the improvements made from when it was Paradise Tan a while back. It's probably been 4 years since I'd been there and they were still able to locate me in the system which was really cool because that meant I didn't have to pay the start up fee. They have new state of the art beds that work really really well. I already have lots of color and it's only been 4 days. My only suggestion would be that they start carrying some men's shorts and t-shirts because they do carry a large selection of really cute clothes for girls. I also want to add that they sell every tanning product under the sun, so there's no need to shop for tanning product before going there. All the new employee's are really nice and very informative about the place which is very helpful for new customers. Tonight Kayla showed and explained the new "Bright Hot Pink Bed" that does everything except give you a massage.....I'm really excited to try it out next time. My membership came with a free Mystic Tan trial but, I've yet to give it a shot. I will one day very soon. I did see a lady come out of it tonight and it obviously works well because she had a beautiful bronze color to her like she'd been laying out at the beach for weeks. I've priced out other local tanning salons and have to tell you that this is definitely the place where your going to get the biggest bang for the buck! Another great perk about the place is they stay open until 10pm during the week. What? Perfect for the busy body person that I am. I decided to give this place one more try after my terrible experience last time as I purchased two spray tans and one was going to expire soon. The website and voicemail both say the store opens at 8:00 on Saturday's and in reality they don't open til 10:00 I waited 55 minutes to get a spray tan and both machines ended up breaking so I wasn't able to tan. The staff had no idea how to handle the situation and said their manager only comes in on Monday. The staff said that this happens a lot and they couldn't do anything about it. They refused to give me a refund or any sort of compensation for wasted time and broken machines and not receiving a tan after I paid for it. I was told I would receive a call from a manager that afternoon, Saturday 8/12 and never got a call. I called yesterday to talk to someone about getting my money back and let them know I never received a call and they told me again that they couldn't help me. It's now Monday evening and I STILL haven't received a call. Apparently this place is all about taking your money and refusing to provide the promised services. I've never received worse customer service than this. All I want is my money back and they're refusing to give it to me. read more

My sister was tanning here a few months ago and I was people watching in the lobby. There was one employee that struck me as rude. She spoke down to clients and staff. Get this, she is a MANAGER! I asked one of the other girls what her name was and it starts with an S. I wont put her on the spot, but you can figure it out if you check your yelp reviews PBT. She needs to brush up on her condescending tone and pay attention to details since she got super irritated when a client had to re-ask what room they were to go to....just because I don't spend money there doesn't mean you can roll your eyes when the client walks away. The girls are polite but there were three of us in line waiting while one person with a hundred questions about Mystic was waited on. The other girl at the counter was doing something on the other computer... I get it. Stuff needs to be done. But, at my place of business, we drop the reports if people are waiting. Even at the grocery store, they stop what they're doing to open another register. But, the main reason I give so few stars is because I have yet to find a time to actually get in and out on my lunch break. I am fast when it's my turn, but there is always someone in the Mystic booth and usually at least one other person waiting. I have been here for 25 minutes today and it's not my turn yet. And the -00-question gal is in it so I may be here awhile. Please Mystic Corporate offices, allow them to make APPOINTMENTS. I'm in a profession where I cannot hang around like this. It's not worth the monthly fee of $60 if I can't use this location. read more
