Been there a couple times and food is hit or miss. Server was friendly but place was too busy for the amount of servers. No drink refills and I overheard they charge $1.00 to take your drink to go. I've eaten here two times and the first visit was very good. I think I ordered fish of some sort with vegetables and rice on the side. It also came with one glass of wine. I don't think it cost me extra but may have been. I had a homemade coconut cream pie which was very moist and light. I returned a second time for another meal thinking of the pie. The meal was good with the pie. Waitress and staff were efficient. The place was packed that time. I would have enjoyed it 100% if the man of a couple sitting at the table next to me were not having a conversation that concerned their sex life. No details, thank goodness. I said something to the manager about the overhead conversation, of which he apologized for and left. Realized after getting to my car that I left without tipping the waitress. Quickly went back in and did so. Crust on pie seemed a little different second time, not as good. May not return but you never know. read more

We have only had breakfast there several times but are anxious to try their lunches and the amazingly priced dinner specials. The breakfast menu is large and the food is served quickly and was hot, not "restaurant warm". Our server was charming, very competent and anticipated our every need and want. My husband had a skillet breakfast and said it was the best he has ever had. Our daughter loved her omelette which was loaded with meat and I enjoyed my french toast. Servings are large. We dine out daily and recognize and appreciate good food and good service and this place offers boih.The place is cheerful and clean and the bathroom was spotless. Management pays attention to details. It is a place frequented by mostly seniors but that is the Boynton Beach demographic.We plan to visit often even though we live in Wellington. The two of us have been coming to this restaurant almost every week for a very long time. While service has been inconsistent, it has been fine for the egg breakfast specials. On our most recent visit, we were seated, ordered our food and noticed that everyone around us were getting their food, eating, and their tables were turning over while we were still waiting! We addressed our concerns with one of the waitresses (our new one wasn't around much) and we found out that our order was mistakenly put into the kitchen after large tables, so we overlooked. I saw the owner and we called her over. About the owner. In all of the years we have been coming to this restaurant, she has never come over to our table, yet she always goes over to people she knows. When the owner approached, my husband told her what happened and expressed his displeasure. The owner said nothing, turned around and walked away. My husband thought she was going into the kitchen to check into this and that she would be back. Nope. I saw her sit down with people she knew. What kind of a way is that to run a business? We have not been back. We will not contribute to a business with this type of service. read more

Not good. Food was just calories without the flavor. I had an omelette with home fries and the temperature of the dish wasn't consistent throughout. It mostly was room temperature, but the middle of the omelette was warm. I swallowed without tasting. In addition, our server wasn't particularly welcoming. For all intents and purposes this is a basic NJ/NY style diner menu. Dinner entrees are between $8.99 and $11.99. Dinners come with soup or salad. Soups are homemade but their salad is always fresh, cold, and crispy. You can get a Greek Salad for $1.00 extra although I prefer the house salad with a side of feta ($1.00 for the feta). The meals are decent for quantity given the price, but I find everything underseasoned which is reflective of the local senior population who come in droves for the cheap prices and to use the $1.00 early bird coupon which comes in the mail. I've had the gyro dinner, the turkey (off the bone white meat) dinner, and the "Jumbo" stuffed shrimp with Krab (spelled with a k) dinner. The scampi sauce used on the stuffed shrimp was delicious, but the dish overall was underseasoned. I've ordered corn and carrots as side dishes and they are presented also without seasonings. The carrots are fresh made, but are waterlogged like the corn. I did not care for the bread stuffing with the turkey so I wont order it again. Rice pudding is a big portion in a sundae glass for $2.00 with a nice taste but on the drier side. Not the style I care for. I gave it 3 stars because this place doesnt pretend to be anything but a place to eat with service and cheap prices. Dont expect cuisine and fine dining, and you wont lead yourself to disappointment. My wife and I are on a "let's try knew places" kick and decided to give palms diner a try. We walked in and there were several ppl waiting so you had to take a number. I'm not sure why they give out numbers because they sat people in which ever order they wished. Several groups came in after we arrived, spoke in Greek to the hostess and they were promptly escorted to a table. The menu is exactly what you would expect from a Greek diner. Our waitress Adrian was very nice and very attentive for how extremely busy she was. I got the chicken soup which was average at best. My wife got the lemon soup, which she said was very good. We both got the stuffed cabbage. I gotta say, it was delicious. The mashed potato was like warm at best but the stuffed cabbage was the highlight of the visit. I would recommend you give them a try just because of the stuffed cabbage was so good. As far as the treatment of customers at the front door, I would not recommend them. read more

Business has just changed hands and the new owners have taken the time to make the necessary Changes. The menu has been tweaked with more popular items and some old favorites as well. This restaurant is a great example of how to do a breakfast diner. There are plenty of seats so there is no wait, even during the height of the season. They offer plenty of variety to choose from, and their prices are highly affordable. My wife and I can eat breakfast with a tea or coffee and it is usually less than $15 before tip. The waitresses in this restaurant are fantastic. They provide good quick service, and it is very entertaining watching them deal with some of the elderly population of the area. The food quality is generally good. It is a low budget diner, so don't expect many frills. They have good quality homestyle meals for both breakfast and lunch. read more

I love good diner home style cooked meals. My first time visiting here yesterday afternoon for early dinner the food was average to me nothing to rave about, and they have a very large menu breakfast lunch and dinner, we ordered off of a special menu where you can get lunch or dinner portions, they indicate that there is 1.00 extra if you use your credit/debit card , I was taken aback by that policy of the diner because we were going to be paying via credit/debit card. We decided to go ahead and order the dinner portion, Liver and onions with corn and mashed potatoes and chicken masala, Like is said it was nothing to rave about, very little seasoning of the food the best thing was the split pea soup that we had. I am sad to say that few restaurants in Boynton Beach, Fla live up to the quality of the better restaurants in NY or Wash DC, where I lived. HOWEVER, one of the big exceptions is Palm Diner. My wife, dad and I went there for dinner. My wife ordered the Flounder Francese, my dad ordered shrimp over pasta, and I had the Salmon Santorini. First, they served us soup or salad with the meal. Salads were large and the soup, while only in a cup, was very good. We also had a choice among drink options such as coffee, soda or wine. Yes, you read this correctly, a wine was included with the meal if you don't pick soda or coffee. In fact, you can get another glass of decent wine ( Merlot for example) for only $3 per glass, which was as good as many other types of wines that restaurants serve for $9 a glass. The meal also came with some nice Challah type bread. Next came the entrees. Everything was very sizable. My Salmon Santorini was among the best dishes that I have ever had! It included a pasta or potato, and vegetable. Salmon Santorini is topped with a lot of a special sauce consisting of tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. It was fabulous. Finally, our meal came with desserts, which also were sizable. My wife and dad had the Baklava. I had the sugar free apple pie that was delicious. We also had choices of Boston creme pie, banana cream pie, a fruit tart, ice cream and rice pudding. I should also note that our waitress was terrific and very happy to be working at the restaurant. When did you ever see very happy waiters and/or waitresses? Our final surprise was the bill. The bill for all this was only $12.99 per person if you pay cash or $13,99 per person if you pay by credit card. If you come here before 4:45 PM, you qualify for the early bird pricing, which is $2 less than what I noted above. I think this was a steal for what we got and for the great quality of food. I often wonder why other restaurants don't do the same thing. For example, I and my friends were at Gramercy Deli and asked for some rye bread for lunch, which was denied us. That little bit of cheap stupidity cost that restaurant a lot of money since we five never came back for lunch. Palm diner is run with a LOT more common sense than most other competitors. I HIGHLY recommend Palm diner for dinner. I will also be trying their breakfast too. Prices in the summer are as low as $3.99 for a full breakfast. I am told by patrons that their breakfast is very yummy too. I will post a breakfast review after we try their breakfast. Just FYI, this restaurant was sold and taken over by the new owners in 2016. Very happy with my early bird dinner and the staff. I ordered Musaka (their spelling) by mistake thinking it was Pastitsio and because I do not like eggplant I asked if I could get lasagna instead. The waitress took it back and brought me a huge portion of Lasagna. It was my mistake and they were very courteous about it. The lasagna was delicious. My friend ordered the Chopped Steak with onions and he ate every bite. For dessert we both had Boston Cream Pie and it was fresh and delicious too. Amazing turn around from the new owners. This place had been going downhill for awhile, so we stopped coming. Our friends said the restaurant had new ownership and suggested we try it. Went there for breakfast early one morning. There were very few patrons. Waitress asked if we needed a menu and brought them over. I ordered poached egss with home fries and my friend ordered an omelet with home fries. Eggs and omelet were decent but home fries were sliced boiled potatoes browned on the grill with no flavor at all. Never saw the waitress after she delievered our food. Another server going by filled our coffee cups for us. Had to flag her down to get the bill. I like an attentive server even if it is only for breakfast. Great solid restaurant, we have brunch there once per week, the food is great, but the waitresses are not friendly and sort of not pay attention such as refilling coffee, water etc. The person at the register knows all of the customers name and although I do not if she is the owner or not she is a friendly addition to an otherwise unfriendly waitstaff. read more
