Overrated! I am a longtime restaurant reviewer and have tried the restaurant four times because people rave about this Diner. For breakfast the eggs are bland and the potatoes are tasteless. I ordered a vegetable omelette recently and again the food was mediocre including canned mushrooms. Had lunch there and ordered a tuna sandwich and the tuna was drenched with mayonnaise. The tuna at Subways is actually better. The only reason I gave the restaurant three stars is because of the reasonable prices and the excellent coffee.Its amazing to me why people are impressed with mediocrity. But I guess good prices attracts the diners. read more

The reason I am giving 5 stars is because the service was really great. The food is also really good however the service was the standout. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The soups and Salads were very good. The main courses we tried were also very good. The desserts were good and I recommend the cheesecake. This is the type of old school family restaurant we all should patronize. read more

Today was a terrible day for them. It was busy but moving along. They gave out numbers for those people waiting for a table. Somehow I was completely ignored even though I had a number. I spoke up and they did sent me a table. And I waited. And waited. 10 minutes with no menu or beverage. I spoke to the manager/owner/hostess who gave me every excuse why people were mistakenly taken in front of me. But you didn't realize I sat there for 10 minutes without getting any kind of service. Well I was speaking with her three other people interrupted... And she allowed this. My previous reviews of this restaurant we're good. I really enjoy stuffed flounder fillets with crab meat. This is the only place that serves this on their menu. The fish was cooked just right. It was moist and tasty. Wife and I love this place. We go here for breakfast nearly every week and the french toast is terrific. She always gets the usual bacon, eggs and hash browns. We've sort of become regulars and the staff knows us. Service is always great. If you pay cash they don't charge extra for the coffee or tea at breakfast. We've also gone for dinner a few times and though the menu is somewhat limited the selections are fine. I've had the chicken francese and it was very good. It's five minutes from where I live and definitely my favorite diner in the area. read more

One and done...we came here because of other reviews about country fried steak and home fries being so delicious. Obviously they have never had anything other than frozen country fried steak, it was the worst we've ever had. Gravy didnt have much flavor. Home fries had a good flavor but tasted hard and crunchy like they had been cooked again and again. I can't even describe how bad the bacon was, cheap, fatty and shriveled. Good points...biscuit was tasty and the eggs were perfect. Service was great. They need to get rid of the old carpet. When we arrived there were 3 booths by the windows that had dirty dishes with no one in site to clean them. read more

I had a paid up membership breakfast for our club at this Palm diner. I had 25 people, and they were professional in handling a group this large, that all sat down at once. The waiters Bill and Tracy were great. Nobody had to wait an excessive amount of time for their food, and they were constantly refill our coffee cups. read more

Terrible. My mother dragged me here , I wanted to go somewhere else. No poached eggs after 11:30am so I ordered 2 eggs over easy. They arrived well done. I ate 1 of them and showed the waiter the other as he handed us the check. He didn't care. White toast tasted stale. Bacon was surprising good. No one came by to refill the coffee. Went here for a quick breakfast this morning with my mother and had an unusual experience with one of the waitresses. My coffee cup was empty for about 10 minutes, so I asked the manager for another coffee when he passed by. He called over another waitress to bring me some coffee. She walked over and filled up my coffee cup. Then my mom asked "Do you have hot water?" The waitress, who was holding a coffee pot in one hand and nothing in the other, scrunched up her nose and (with attitude) says "Yeah, I have hot water right here in my hand - can't you see?" and holds up the coffee pot. I found this comment to be extremely condescending toward my mother, who is an intelligent college professor at that, and was clearly aware that this waitress did not have hot water in her hand. Clearly we were asking her to bring us hot water, so the rude and snarky remark was shocking. We were not even sure how to respond after realizing that she was not "joking around." I enjoyed my breakfast, but I'd prefer to dine somewhere where I will not have to feel bad for asking for a refill of water. read more

Excellent service and complete dinner at Palm Restaurant. First time there and the service was perfect. Our meals were excellent and hot temperature. My husband had steak Santorini...Greek topping. Salad, veg and pot. Includes drink and dessert. Unbelievable 13.99 if you pay cash. Until 8 pm. My flounder was excellent. Not a fancy place...but friendly staff. Just returned from the Palm Diner. The place was clean, socially distanced with a very pleasant wait staff. While we had to wait a short while, we had a delicious breakfast, cooked perfectly. Our skillet breakfasts was enough for 2 each. Plenty of fresh brewed coffee to satisfy us. The place was very busy but everything was served within a reasonable time. Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. They even deducted $1.50 from each meal for paying cash and FREE coffee to boot. We will definitely be returning. A real northeastern style Greek diner! Yumm! read more

I have eaten here before and always Had good food and service. So I decided To get my thanksgiving dinner here. No regrets, I had a delicious turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes. Went there today for breakfast with my husband and another couple. Food came out for our friends but it took awhile for food to come out for my husband. My food however did not come out after everyone had finished eating and after repeated promises by the waiter and the owner that it would be right out but that never happened so I canceled my meal. Now I don't blame the waiter because I believe he tried and he didn't charge my husband for his two eggs and toast which by the way were cold. This place is very mediocre. They have a specials menu with complete meals for $13.99, and while I certainly appreciate a good deal, I think the quality suffers trying to meet that price point. We were greeted nicely and shown to a table with a friendly server. He brought over a bread basket with sliced challah, but the bread plates that were stacked under the basket were both dirty with crusted on food remnants. Yuck!! We had the split pea soup and matzo ball soup, both very good. Entrees were less successful. The chopped steak was tasteless despite sautéed mushrooms and onions and brown gravy. The flounder francaise was not hot enough and the texture of the fish wasn't good. The baked potatoes were obviously re-baked, and the veggies were not seasoned. We got our deserts to go so nothing to report yet. A very underwhelming experience. read more

I've eaten here two times and the first visit was very good. I think I ordered fish of some sort with vegetables and rice on the side. It also came with one glass of wine. I don't think it cost me extra but may have been. I had a homemade coconut cream pie which was very moist and light. I returned a second time for another meal thinking of the pie. The meal was good with the pie. Waitress and staff were efficient. The place was packed that time. I would have enjoyed it 100% if the man of a couple sitting at the table next to me were not having a conversation that concerned their sex life. No details, thank goodness. I said something to the manager about the overhead conversation, of which he apologized for and left. Realized after getting to my car that I left without tipping the waitress. Quickly went back in and did so. Crust on pie seemed a little different second time, not as good. May not return but you never know. read more

Full 5 stars for the following reasons: 1. Clean 2. Friendly staff 3. Reasonably priced and then some!! 4. Good food and portions 5. Endless cups of coffee! I have been here more than once, and plan on making this my weekly go-to spot for breakfast. The menu is large with a lot of variety, you are seated quickly and coffee is brought to you straight away. There is never a rush to push us out of the door, which is nice! The staff is friendly and the food comes out looking/tasting delicious. Simple plates with great taste. My coffee cup never ran empty. Took our Friday group of ten to the Palm Diner last night. First of all the waiter was terrific and handled our group with separate checks as if we were a party of two. Really made us comfortable , not rushed, and very well informed. Had studied the menu on line and was all set to order when I walked in....then the "specials menu" fell out of the regular menu and gave me 50 excellent reasons to reconsider my always great Greek Salad. The dissonance set in at Lamb Shank versus Stuffed Cabbage. Chose the unbelievable $13.99 (cash) Shank and it may be the best I ever had. Picked up the bones and the perfectly cooked meat fell off. Love blue cheese dressing but ordered my salad with vinegarette instead and what a great choice. Delicious. That all said, next time I'm ordering the Greek Pork Chops I so coveted the whole time our dining partner enjoyed them. I could go on, but just know, that the specials menu which includes soup or salad and dessert is so reasonably priced eating it at home would be more expensive. And probably not as good! read more

Great specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had poached eggs and French Toast. My eggs were good but my daughter's were raw and had to send them back. Been there a couple times and food is hit or miss. Server was friendly but place was too busy for the amount of servers. No drink refills and I overheard they charge $1.00 to take your drink to go. We've been going here for some time . We've Always had excellent service & the food has always been 'fine'/ good enough ! Yesterday , Monday we stopped in after an early appt on our way home for a quick & easy late breakfast. I ordered a simple omelette w/ a side of bacon , no toast& no potatoes, I was not offered a lettuce & tomato or anything by our non caring waiter , my mister ordered a waffle w/ a side of bacon... my omelette & well done bacon was almost cold so I had to send it back & wait ... my mister ate his semi cold bacon until he decided to send it back as well. What bothers me most about this is when we went to pay the man @ the register asked how everything was, I replied 'it's been better' , he was not at all interested in what I had to say ( so why even ask ! ) Needless to say we were both Very disappointed & will probably be looking elsewhere for a breakfast/ brunch/ lunch place close to home ! read more

The breakfast menu is large and the food is served quickly and was hot, not "restaurant warm". Our server was charming, very competent and anticipated our every need and want. My husband had a skillet breakfast and said it was the best he has ever had. Our daughter loved her omelette which was loaded with meat and I enjoyed my french toast. Servings are large. We dine out daily and recognize and appreciate good food and good service and this place offers boih.The place is cheerful and clean and the bathroom was spotless. Management pays attention to details. It is a place frequented by mostly seniors but that is the Boynton Beach demographic.We plan to visit often even though we live in Wellington.
