Great experience! We are from San Diego and were staying in La Quinta for the weekend for my daughter's 16 bday and there were 7 of us which they were able to accommodate us all at once (I called previously in the morning to make an appt). All of the staff was super friendly from the get-go. Bin was the one who checked us in and actually worked on my pedicure. He was super charming, sweet, and funny! He made the whole experience great! Love, love love Palm Nails. Went in today after 3 weeks from having a full set of gels done by Jen. Tried Christine for my fill and she did a fantastic job matching my nail design to a pic I had found on pinterest. After my appt (I was the last one) I walked out to my car to discover it wouldn't start. Bin came out, brought us more water and then went to buy jumper cables so I could use them. He helped my husband jump the car because we realized my son took both sets of our jumper cables with him to Oklahoma last month! Needless to say the people here are amazing in every way! Palm Nails has an incredibly friendly staff. They are extremely careful to not burn your skin when they drill and file your nails. Been here twice for a pedicure, 2 days ago and 2 months ago. They really took their time and the first pedicure I got lasted over a month and a half. They are very friendly people too. I've been going to the same girl in Palm Desert for 6 years for my nails but she's on a leave so I gave this place a Shot at doing my fill with a design I wanted to match a dress I'm wearing for my baby shower. I came here on Friday February 28th for basic dipping powder nails. I did not want to complain but when I got home under better lighting my nails were blotchy and uneven. I called Bin , the manager, and he told me to come back today. I arrived at 4:57 and was seated at 5:05. Bin attempted to redo my nails but I told him that I wasn't quite happy with the results , and mentioned that I would hate to leave a bad review , Bin flipped on me and raised his voice. Bin began to stand up and yell at me. I think Bin has anger issues. I'm not sure why he would be so angry at me for stating my opinion as a paying customer. Bin left abruptly without completing my nails. Bin directed another tech to apply the top coat. Even after all of this ,Bin kept walking back towards me to antagonize me. This was highly inappropriate. Bin was harassing me the entire time. Bin could have easily been charged with aggravated assault. In all my experience getting my nails done this has been the absolute worst. I have never been insulted like this before. I paid 45 dollar and tipped Bin 9 dollars at the original encounter. I thought the work was a little sloppy and the shellac/gel manicure barely held up for two weeks. Also, my cuticles look bad and the design on my toes didn't match my fingers. They used the same color, but didn't take the time to put white underneath so the color would pop. They bragged about how good they were at nail art, but kept telling me that they couldn't do anything that I requested so I just went with dots that turned out sloppy. read more

The owners wife does great work but the other girls left my nails clumpy and the nail lengths were uneven. I walked in and the lady in the front advised me to come back at a later time because they were busy so I came back at the time advised and she sat me in a chair for a pedicure and and an asian male was very rude and told me to move to another chair because that chair I was at was for customers for appointments only. I explained to him that I did have an appointment and he was angry and speaking his language to his coworkers. Went here with my sister while on vacation for a acrylic fill and gel pedicure and my sister got a gel mani and pedi. The owner was actually hilarious and sassy which made it a fun visit. The place was packed and I felt that they did a really good job. The owner (Ben?) was the one who did my pedi and it's the best I've ever had. Used to be great. Best reason to go is they open at 8 a.m. Now (last few months) they do an average job and the owner has become very loud & obnoxious. The staff all talk & laugh constantly in their native language. Probably talking crap about the customers. Not the peaceful experience of a nail "spa" anymore. The TV is on a Jackass type channel with failed stunt videos...people screaming in pain. Really? Not sure why he thinks middle-aged women want to see that. Went in for a manicure and pedicure, massage was mediocre and the job on the nail polish was not so great. On my hands they did an even worse job since the polish would not dry for some reason and i had to spend an extra hour there bc they took a long time in deciding to remove and try another polish. Another person took over and i thought they'd be more experienced but no, the color didn't go close to the cuticle the way it should, didn't even go properly on the sides as almost all my nails showed gaps where the bare nail would show. I wouldn't go again, was disappointed bc other reviews were great but i think its true what some have said which is people probably go for the personality of the owner vs the quality of service... read more
