When we first contacted Jonathan we were skeptical about him promising the moon. After careful research and contacting 5 of his referal sources we decided to move forward with him and his phenomenal team. Jonathan always had a big smile and bright and lively ready to perform. My husband, who is a designer, and I have been looking for several years for an affordable condominium to use as our vacation home in Palm Springs. In May we finally found our dream, with an amazing view and a 2 bedroom/2 bath layout that was perfect for the two of us. The problem was that it needed to be gutted and rebuilt. The other problem was that we live several hundred miles away, and would not be able to stay in Palm Springs during the remodeling. By amazing luck, my husband found Jonathan Salazar and his company, Palm Springs Renovations. We cannot imagine a better choice; Jonathan is simply amazing. He is highly skilled and has experts for every specialized aspect of the work from demolition to electrical, drywall, plumbing, flooring etc. My husband created a highly detailed plan involving the use of several new materials, and highly intricate designs. His own crew is skilled, reliable, thorough, and trustworthy. Through almost daily facetime calls and several extended visits, he was able to work with Jonathan to create a beautiful, comfortable, in many ways stunning second home for us. He has high expectations and it's hard to imagine a better fit than Jonathan. Jonathan finished the project in a timely manner, easily meeting our expectations, which looking back, seems almost impossible. Jonathan is a total pleasure to work with. Importantly he has tremendous communication skills, making working with him efficient and pleasant. He had to use several new materials to create our design. He took it in stride, and installed them perfectly to create a warm modern design. Our condominium is in an older building, dating to the mid-1970s and required replacing plumbing and electrical, and of course we encountered several serious issues associated with a 50-year-old building. All of those were handled professionally, and problems solved effectively to create a beautiful end-product. Of course, working with a condominium means working with the HOA and its staff. Jonathan communicated with them making sure they were informed of the project to avoid conflicts and make sure other residents were informed of the need to shut off water, etc. Jonathan is a dream contractor; easy to work with, highly skilled, and with highly skilled co-workers in each aspect of construction. My husband has worked with many contractors, and Jonathan is one of the best, if not the best. When we were in town, I looked forward to seeing him and watching him interact with my husband and his workers on a daily basis. They performed a custom paint job, reconstructed our front gate, repaired the door bells and fireplace, painted/spruced up our spiral staircase to the roof, and graciously took on additional tasks which we had not previously discussed without charging us anything extra. We were most impressed that Jonathan and his project leads took the time to analyze challenging issues and develop thoughtful solutions. In fact, one of the leads repaired the fireplace and doorbells even though previous contractors were unable to do so. We are also very impressed that Jonathan personally made sure that we were satisfied with the work he and his team performed, and he responded immediately to resolve even the smallest concerns. Much, much more than just a handyman, Jonathan and his crew are very talented contractors and craftsmen. They went over and above what we asked or expected from any contractor. We had a substantial construction project which included gutting and remodeling the kitchen and master bath, as well as enclosing a covered deck. This meant plumbing, cement work, drywall, painting, structural walls, gas lines, electric, cabinetry, countertops, and just about everything else you can do to a house. Jonathan and his crew were able to expertly accomplish all this by our promised completion date (which was very fast). Throughout the process he was in constant communication with us and always welcomed any adjustments and additions we tacked on to our initial project. He also worked well with the city for permitting and inspections as our project needed major new support beams, which needed cement footers posts to carry the weight. We actually lived in the house through construction so got to know his team very well. They showed up on time every day, and were very respectful and easy to work with. Jonathan wasn't happy until every small detail was completed. We would HIGHLY recommend them for any project you have. read more
