So now we have a very uneven yard where water puddles and gates that are difficult to open even though they came back to fix. We have what Nate Budd said was bahia grass and we should go to Tractor Supply and purchase weed killer to spray the bahia and it should work. Exactly what does it mean "We will remove all the old grass???" We live on a fixed income and are not able to maintain a difficult lawn is why we paid this amount of money for Sod Lot to take care of it but here we go again having to spray weeds. Our approximately $200 a month water bill to maintain the Provista just grows the weeds. So save your money.

The nursery was well laid out, had a TON of variety , and copious amounts of health plants. I ended up getting a desert rose and my mom got a few plants for her home. They even had a sale table where items were 50% off, they mostly appeared healthy. There were many planter options as well as pre-potted planters for sale. They had these massive planters with beautiful flowers/items in them and they were marked for sale. It was not something i had seen before but I enjoyed seeing a pre-made planter. The prices were much better than what I am used to at both Home Depot and Lowes. Will be back!

It doesn't look like much from the road but once you drive in, it's a full blown nursery. I'm not what you would call a major landscaper but this business has met all our needs. Last year we bought a bunch of landscaping shrubs and the guy who rung us up gave me 2 pepper plants - jalapeño and datil - little guys in styrofoam coffee cups. I decided to try growing them and my jalapeño is producing about 30 peppers a month. The datils are ready but I think the plant is a little more finicky. Either way, it's been a success. Competitive prices across the board even compared to the big box stores a couple of miles west. Durbin is my go to for any nursery needs.

I called to make sure I received the correct item and was told that unfortunately it is a natural product and they can vary and the last batch they received was browner. I asked why they did not call the customers who ordered the white to let them know before just delivering it and taking their money. The only response I received was "there is nothing we can do once it goes to your property and it is a natural product". Needless to say I will not use them again.

Any plants that die on site, even if the store doesn't water properly or puts them in the wrong sun/not sun spot, any returns of dead plants equates to the grower not getting paid. This rubbed me the wrong way, when I heard it. I am going to be honest- I still end up buying plants from said stores, but I do pop into various nurseries and try to support their small business. Since I broke out of apartment jail- I have plans for the house! For the yard- don't ask me what those plans are.... it's a vague concept right now. But as the young lady asked me what I wanted- ha! I want jasmine- shows me various jasmine plants! Yippee. I am thinking of maybe putting a tree in the front yard- those are in the back. Ok- I'll walk back there, or hop in the convenient golf cart with my plant guide! Zoom~ we are rolling up and down aisles of trees! John was thinking live oak which I love, but then I saw they had weeping willows! WHAT!??!!! And a weeping bottle brush! I need to do research and ask the hoa before diving into a tree purchase! I was looking over azaleas, hibiscus, sod (I need some for my front yard) and various other plants! They even had blueberries! hmmmm. Generally speaking- my thumb is green. I ended up with Jasmine and Honeysuckle and had to lay both down in my car- because they both had trellis attached and were pretty big. John caught me when I got home! Anyhow, they have an assortment of plants, pots, saucers and supplies. Prices are not cheap compared to other locations I've visited around town. There are people there to ask questions to and check you out, but I found staff at competitors a bit more willing to talk and answer in sentences rather than one word replies.
