Palnadu is a hidden gem, located inside of a little shopping center that i believe you could easily pass not knowing where it is. But ALL must need to stop in; you 100000% would not be disappointed. My friend and I ordered the chicken masala, and we both had orders of the garlic naan. It was beyond delicious; even better the following day. So so good! Hidden gem. I really, really loved Palnadu. It's named for a region of India I understand. Am in my 40s and never tried Indian cuisine. The music playing while we ate was nice --Bollywood on two as screens as well. Great for a first immersion. Had the veggie Samosas, chicken Masala, Naan bread. Clean, reasonably priced, and delicious... and hidden in a strip mall. I ordered garlic naan, saag paneer (which came with complimentary rice), and double ka meeta. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and helpful, but did not rush me. I was the only non-Indian person there, which told me all I needed to know. We were hungry and between appointments ... we both agreed on Indian! Now to find a place in route? Yelp strikes again! We drove 17 minutes to Palnadu and were invited to pick a table. Im Biryani happy, so I ordered a boneless chicken one that was soooo tasty and tender. BUT - way too spicy (I ordered mild) for me! My son got Palak Paneer, Roti, and a mango Lassi. A three star isn't a knock to Palnadu, overall it was fine. I ordered three items, goat curry, garlic naan and the "legendary" lamb chops. The curry sauce was a bit on the salty side but It was not too bad once I ate more rice and naan to offset it. The lamb chops, though tender, was a bit bland. I believe if they had charred up for seared it, it may have had a better texture. Service was fine and but I noted many food stains ingrained in the placemats there a bit offputting. I stopped in at this restaurant for lunch. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked into cozy restaurant and was greeted and sat. I ordered: Vegetable Manchurian Butter Naan Kadai Goat Shrimp Noodles Apricot Delight I really enjoyed the butter naan and the shrimp and noodles. The dessert was good too! Slowest service ever for being only customer in restaurant. Naan took 30min to wait for. Meal as well. Asked for check 15min ago, still waiting and now only one more customer dining in. My concern is that online orders are taking precedence with no forewarning provided as such. Cashier is on phone most of past hour. Food is good, but insure if I can visit if service is this slow. There's a thai restaurant a couple doors down from Palnadu, which is very good. Today it was time to try Palnadu, and it was a very nice venture. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I had the Tikka masala, masala tea, samosa, and garlic naan which were prepared well. I should have asked for a little more heat, but it was phenomenal a prepared. It's a returner. read more

One of the best Indian restaurants I have been too! The food was really good! Things I ordered: -aloo gobi- really great appetizer -Achari kabob- it's a dry kabob but really good and spicy. -Goat Vindooloo- asked for spicy and man the spice level was ! Loved it! -lacha parotta- I accidentally ordered 2z they slice and put in a basket. It's crispy and great with the Vindaloo. Overall, the food was amazing! The vibe is great. It's a small resturant but big enough. It has tables and booths. All the food was served hot, all the staff was very friendly and attentive. TL;DR: Staff drank our chai order to argue that it "wasn't sweet," One of the most shocking and ridiculous experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. My mom ordered a chai that was way too sweet for her, so she mentioned it to the staff. Instead of simply acknowledging the preference or offering a solution, the front-desk lady poured some of our chai into a small cup, drank it in front of us, and then told us it "wasn't sweet." When I explained that my mom just prefers less sugar, she doubled down and said their chai "doesn't have a lot of sugar" and refused to remake it. When I asked what they do for diabetic customers, she said she "doesn't know." This was unprofessional, unhygienic, and honestly unbelievable. We left right away! Last night (Friday evening), about 14 of us went to Palnadu Indian Cuisine in Cherry Hill. This was my third time here--and unfortunately, the third time that the service and food were substandard. When they first opened, I left them a positive review because I felt they were trying and would improve with time. Sadly, after more than a year, that has not been the case. Service: It took nearly 30 minutes just to get one of the empty tables cleared for our group. Orders came out late, incorrect, or not at all. Some dishes didn't arrive for over an hour. Food: Several items were poorly prepared--so much so that no one could eat them--yet we were still charged for them. Overall, the food quality was disappointing compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. Billing: Despite all the issues, we were hit with an automatic 18% gratuity on a bill of over $400. That might have been fair if anything about the evening had gone smoothly, but it felt insulting given the circumstances. To make matters worse, there was even a disagreement between some of my friends and the staff over the bill. You would think that after our first and second poor experiences, the restaurant would try to do better--especially when a large party is bringing in that much business. Instead, it was the opposite. My group (almost all from India, so very familiar with authentic Indian food) agreed that this was not worth returning to. The owner should spend more time in the restaurant to improve service and quality--because as it stands, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I had a wonderful lunch experience at Palnadu recently with my family. When I walked in, I was welcomed with an aroma of masalas that filled the air and stimulated my taste buds. Excited to eat, I ordered one of my favorites, chicken 65, for the appetizer- there were scrumptious chicken pieces with a juicy interior and a crispy exterior balanced in a mixture containing spices and an earthy curry leaf flavor. For the main course, we had the village style goat curry paired with garlic naan and the Vijaywada Boneless Chicken Biriyani. Usually, I don't have a preference for goat due to its chewy texture but I really admired how soft the goat pieces were and the gravy had a comforting taste which made me nostalgic of the curry I had growing up at home. The Biriyani was authentic and I'm glad the dish stayed true to its roots with its salan and a generous garnish of crispy, fried onions. We finally ended our meal with the following desserts: Jamun ka Ghosla and Apricot ka Delight. Usually, I skip desserts at most Indian restaurants because of the repetitive Kheer and Gulab Jamun options. However, these two desserts were different and not overly sweet.
