Tandori Kabab came up on our Yelp search for local cheap eats and being hungry and less then a 10 minute drive, it was a no brainer to give this small Indian restaurant a try. Tandori Kabab is in a nondescript strip mall located on Burnt Mill Road in Vorhees. It is very close to the Echelon Mall and almost across the street from Sweet Eats. The restaurant isn't exactly a "hole in the wall" but it is very basic and also very clean. There is a menu and also an illuminated sign with photos of the dishes. One orders at the counter and the food is cooked to order. The pleasant young women told us it would be about 15 minutes. They have a refrigerator with soft drinks and water, they also have Mango lassi, and some other drinks on the menu. My daughter and I ordered vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tika Masala, Tandori Chicken and Garlic Nan, two sodas and bottled water. Our total was $22.00 and this was a lot of food. The Samosas came out quickly and were very good and not too greasy from being fried. The garlic Nan was delicious, soft and fresh. The Tandoori chicken had great flavors and spices and the meat was moist. The Tika Masala was also very good and this is one of my favorite dishes. We should have ordered a side of rice or more Nan to use with the Tika Masala sauce. Tandori Kabab is not fine dining but the food is very good and the prices are cheap. The utensils are plastic and the napkins thin; there is little to no ambiance, but who cares when the food is that good? 4 solid Yelp stars and definitely coming back.

Small portions, bad curry and awful service. Called in an order 30 minutes ahead of time, showed up for pickup and told it would be an extra 5 minutes. Ended up getting my food 45 minutes after reminding them I was waiting for it. Rude service.

We will be ordering from here again. The butter chicken was amazing, but for the price, I certainly expected a much bigger portion.

Worst experience with the Qeema naans. They were totally burnt down from the bottom. The owner refused the accept his mistake. Very rude customer service.

Wow , some friends want me to give them a second chance and try their food. So I ordered 12chicken Kabab and 6 nan to take out. No one eating in side, but lots of people coming to pick there's orders that mean they are very busy for take out. Chicken Kabab and Nan are perfect size , also taste is A+ . Love it and definitely go back Recommend 100% for take out

However, over our last three visits, we've noticed several concerns: The taste of the food has changed, and some dishes were not properly cooked. The karahi gosht is no longer prepared the way it used to be, and the portion size has also been reduced. The seating arrangement feels too cramped for the space, making it difficult to move around comfortably. When concerns are raised, the standard response is simply, "we will let them know," without any visible follow-up. We genuinely enjoy dining here and would like to continue visiting. However, the inconsistency in food quality, along with pricing and portion concerns, has been disappointing and is making us reconsider. I would greatly appreciate it if the owner could give attention to these issues, particularly ensuring consistency in food quality and taste.

    | Deeply Disappointed -- What Happened to Baithakh?…read more Baithakh used to be one of our favorite go-to spots in North Brunswick. We've always enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, something has definitely changed since our last visit -- and not for the better. We ordered several dishes, including the Baithakh Seekh Kebab Roll, Crispy Fried Chicken Burger, Beef Paya, Beef Nihari, Peshawari Mutton Karahi, and Chicken Malai Boti. To our surprise, nearly everything was a letdown. The Beef Paya and Peshawari Mutton Karahi were both swimming in oil and severely lacked flavor, which was shocking considering how good they used to be. The Fried Chicken Burger had decent seasoning, but the chicken itself was tough and rubbery -- almost inedible. The Chicken Malai Boti was okay, but even that wasn't as tender or flavorful as we've had here before. Maybe they've changed chefs or recipes, but the quality just isn't the same anymore. Baithakh had never failed us before, but this visit was a major disappointment. Sadly, we're giving it a 2 out of 5 stars. We hope they find their way back to the standard that once made them great.

When I approached the register, the employee asked who I was picking up for. I showed her the order information on my phone, and she checked it before walking away. The problem was that she never came back or gave me any update. I was left standing there waiting, assuming the order was still being prepared. After waiting longer than necessary, I had to approach another employee to find out what was happening. I was then told that my food had actually been ready for several minutes. That was frustrating because a simple update or acknowledgment would have avoided the entire situation. What bothered me most was that when I finally brought up the issue, instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, I felt like I was being brushed off with a quick "have a good night." I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I'm not expecting perfect service every time. However, basic communication, attentiveness, and respect go a long way especially when someone is simply trying to pick up an order. I'm leaving this review because the pickup process needs improvement. Management should make sure employees are communicating with customers and following through after asking them for their order information. A little better customer service would make a big difference.

The ambiance is very pleasing and it is also an ideal spot for a date night. Chicken Satay: The grilled chicken skewers came with a cup of peanut dipping sauce. I had a gut instinct that I was going to g to enjoy peanut butter flavored sauce with the chicken because I previously explored a similar chicken entrée at another restaurant. The chicken was tender and juicy. Although I really enjoyed this plate, I would have preferred to have it without the skewers because I don't feel they are necessary. Pineapple Fried Rice: This rice plate was so fulfilling it practically ate like a meal. It included nuts, mixed vegetables, and mini tofu squares. It was well seasoned with the perfect amount of heat. Although I chose "medium" heat, it was still very spicy. For this reason, I am reluctant to make it any spicier. 4-Star Review - Delhi Garden, NJ…read more Tried Delhi Garden recently on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit out of the way from the central Edison area, but worth a visit every now and then. I saw some solid reviews online and decided to check it out. Service was good . Atmosphere not that great . Overall, I was leaning toward a 3-star rating, but a few standout dishes pushed it to a 4. The aloo cutlet with chole was the star of the show--super authentic and flavorful. The paneer tikka and paneer masala also hit the mark taste-wise, though I wish they had packed a bit more spice. The paneer tandoor came in a generous portion, but again, it could've used more flavor. The biryani was just average. One common theme--everything was low on spice, and the small container of spicy sauce they give barely lasted a few bites. It's a takeout-only spot, so no dine-in tables, and the parking area is small but manageable. Price-wise, it felt fair for the portion sizes. Not perfect, but worth trying if you're in the mood for North Indian flavors and don't mind customizing the spice at home!
