We got their everything calzone. It was the prefect size for me a for 1 or a filling snack for 2. We wanted to change one item due to dietary restrictions and the workers were very accommodating. They even came by to ask us about another ingredient because they thought it might be an issue as well. I was very pleased with the level of care. There isn't that much dining room. We used to make a special trip several times a year just to have Ken's Favorite pizza. My husband discovered it by chance while I was shopping at Marshall's . My hungry guys were waiting for that pizza, and boy oh boy we are not going back... I did ask to hold off regular bacon, and keep olives in moderation. The pizza looked like it went under some sort of "stress test". There was no Green peppers (my husband's favorite), no Italian sausage (my Dad's favorite), PLENTY of olives, and most of it was just a dough not even covered by the sauce. I'm from NYC and been to Italy. This myaybe the best pizza I've ever had! I ordered the Pepe. It was perfectly seasoned, so I threw out the two packages of grated Parmesan I thought it would need. I've heard friends talk about how often they go here for their pizza. With the prices being on the higher side, I was expecting a higher level of pizza. This is just my personal feeling on pizza, but I prefer a pizza that has toppings that extend almost to the edge of the crust. The pizzas we received were sparse on the toppings and heavy on the crust. The crust tastes good, but I'm expecting at least most bites to include toppings. This was disappointing as half the bites I took were purely just crust. Palo Mesa has 3 locations so they are obviously enjoyed by many locals. This is my favorite Palo Mesa location. I love wood-fired pizza and whenever I'm visiting my mom in AG we get a couple pizzas from here to heat up later at home. The Palo Mesa in the Village is also amazing, but for different reasons! Theirs is more authentically Napoli-style I believe, but this one in the strip mall by Ross has the most amazing veggie pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, feta...just a great quintessential Cali-style wood-fired pizza. Palo Mesa pizza is our family's favorite pizza on the Central Coast. My family has been ordering from the Rancho Parkway spot for several years. We keep it basic...the Hot Hawaiian, pepperoni pizza, bread sticks, cinnamon sticks (with cream cheese frosting ) and Italian salad is our "go-to's". Their crust is bomb . The right amount of soft yet crispy. Toppings are always fresh and they are pretty generous. Their menu also has a variety of specialty pizzas but they are on the pricier side if feeding a family with hungry kids. One of our favorite things to do is order the DIY, make your own pizza kits. These are so fun to do with the kids. Pick out the type of pizza you want abs they will send everything you need to make it at home. This is a family fun activity and the pizzas come out GREAT. We typically bake in the oven in an iron skillet or in our Traeger. They are priced reasonably too. My only issue is the high turnover in staff at this location . Always new faces. There has also been a handful of times our orders were not taken correctly. However nothing deal breaking. A must try if visiting the Central Coast. read more

The food here is very good, but unfortunately it was not the food we ordered. We called on the phone to pick up an XL Michaela pizza. When we got home, we realized it was a tomato and basil pizza. We called them and asked them to remake it, which they agreed to do. We picked it up and they handed it to us and said "Michaela", but when we got home it was definitely NOT a Michaela (had bell peppers, green olives; missing pineapple, jalapeños, and cilantro). Also it was a size smaller than what we ordered. At this point, we just started eating because it was late and we were hungry. My five stars is for the young lady who served me. She was attentive and she guided me through the menu making suggestions. I settled on pepperoni and sausage. The sausage is bomb.com. But tonight, 7/29 our pizza that we ordered online said it was done but when we arrived and we're told our pizza would just be another 2 min...we waited for over 35 min for our pizza that came out burnt. We also had ordered cinnamon bread and once we received it we were told they do not have the dipping sauce for it. I understand things happen, but transparency and a discount would be the right thing to do when there is so much miscommunication and an order not being fully fulfilled. They actually use grilled chicken-not chopped up cubes of 'chicken', but ACTUAL good tasting grilled chicken. (I don't eat meat often-only when it's excellent. At Palo Mesa, they use meat that is actually worth eating.) Nice people working there. Lily has been there a while and has excellent enthusiasm And customer service. Made an $80+ order this evening. Large Margarita, large Michaela, and a large pepperoni as well as an order of spaghetti and meatballs. We got a cheese, and and the other two were undercooked. The spaghetti was supposed to come with a salad but they forgot that too. Flavor wasn't awful but not like the wood fired pizza at the No.4 location. Called to see what they consider a Margarita pizza and see if they could do something for us for tomorrow. We are from out of town and have a hotel room full of kids, can't get back over there tonight. The gentleman on the phone said he's not allowed to do that. $30 for the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. They claim wood fire but still taste like crap. Never going back neither should you!

We came into town and checked into the hotel. My husband went to find us dinner. Panera was already closed. He came back with a chicken calzone and cinnamon breadsticks. Happened across this place just by luck on the way home, driving south on 101. Pizza is great. Crust is crunchy and soft. Cheese is quality stuff and the gluten free was the best we've had. The two guys working last night were super friendly, funny and helpful. They helped my daughters learn how to toss a pizza even though they were closing up the place. Good news, the crust was nice on the pizza. Not so good news, on the vegetarian pizza, the sauce and cheese were virtually non existent. The brined vegetables were salty and overpowering and the "fresh veggies" were visibly old and brown. The "Caesar salad" we ordered included old and brown, chopped lettuce and they substituted cheap and tasteless mozzarella for the parmesan(more expensive cheese). There were no croutons in the salad. It was BAD. We purchased our meal via a delivery service and were not provided with plates, forks, or napkins with which to eat our sub par food. Nasty food. Shameful for the price we paid! Never again. Someone is making serious money. $39.00. We used delivery and it came to $50. Terrible. $9.50 for tax and service plus a tip. Don't do it! I've eaten here a couple times, nice little environment and customer service is excellent it's just a little pricey. Twice I've had the Michaela which has pepperoni, garlic, red onion, pineapple, bacon, cilantro and jalapeno. They serve it to you nice, hot and fresh. If ever I'm in the location and in the mood for pizza this is where I go, but closer to home my go to pizza joint is Domino's. I always order a hand pan pizza but that's for another review. I'm not sure by knocking out 1 star because the cost is worthy, but if I wasn't making a decent wage I wouldn't come in here. I've heard several people say the same, but other than that, it's a great pizza. Maybe have a special to draw come alongs.
