I asked for half of the pizza it be pepperoni and I got 4 slices of pepperoni asked for minced garlic and probably got less than 1/4 a clove of garlic. I asked for more more cheese on top and and told no asked for mushrooms and didn't get those either. This was all on a build your own! Horrible customer service never coming back. My first visit to this restaurant (in any location ever) and I'm so impressed with it. The staff is really nice and helpful. The menu is above and behind the counter where the fresh ingredients are on display. The thin crust pizza is crispy, tasty, and warm. I had a few items added to their meatball pie signature collection pizza at no extra charge. The half-pizza and salad is a real bargain and I've often had it delivered. The Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, croutons, and a Caesar dressing is smothered with grated Parmesan cheese. I also ordered the Fast Fired Meatballs that are marinated in a red sauce with fresh ricotta cheese and sliced banana peppers on the side. The cost for all three items plus a medium blood-orange lemonade was under $25! Such a bargain for a delicious meal. The blazing fire in the pizza oven is a warm invitation into the dining area, itself. This is really a great place to eat without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it! read more

I would like to give higher rating, as the pizza is quite good, but the workers are very stingy with ingredients. at least there are 2 ladies that seem to not want you to have much on your pizza. There is a man there which is very nice and other kids who are not stingy. Today when I asked for bacon, she barely dropped a tiny couple of crushed pieces, when I asked for more she starting saying again something about not getting extra toppings. So I said softly and calmly but loud enough that she could hear, "If you don't stop being unpleasant I am going to stop coming here. The man, who made my pizzas the first few time I went there, when I asked for 4 packs of parmessian when picking up my pizza was all happy and smiled real big and hands me a bunch of packs and says here ya go. obviously happy I bought a pizza. Then the next time I went, this lady refused, and said you only get two with pizza. I do think I will stop going there now. its just too screwy for me. if I pay for a pizza I expect there to be toppings on it. and I dont appreciate people making me feel badly for asking for a decent amount when they are trying to hardly put anything on my pizza. read more

Went for dinner tonight, food was good, but they were pretty stingy with the toppings. For protein I only wanted chicken and bacon so asked for extra of those. They sprinkled a tiny bit of bacon and about 8-10 small pieces of chicken to start. I asked if I could get a little extra since I'm only getting two of the meat toppings and was told no by two different employees. My husband got at least 6 different types of meat on his pizza no problem, plus several other toppings, so I asked again since I only had two meats, but they still refused. I then asked if I could pay extra for additional chicken, even though it's supposed to be unlimited toppings and they just walked away. I then asked if I could add sausage right before it went in the oven since I couldn't get any more chicken and was told yes, and got a whole 6 pieces of sausage. And apparently a serving of cherry tomatoes is exactly 5 tomato halves. In the past we were pretty satisfied, but not sure it's worth me going back if have to beg for adequate toppings (and be denied). read more

Came here twice and both times, the pizzas were excellent! I got a total of 3 original crust pizzas...all were fresh and delicious! I choose about 3 toppings and the pizzas were baked to perfection. If you've never tried Blaze Pizza, it's like Subway, with many toppings of your choice. Service here was very good as well. I am pleased to share this place has recently surprised me. They have a meal special for $7 and you are allowed to pick whatever toppings you like - not just 1 topping! And it includes a drink! That makes is more affordable that McDs and Burger King! (Neither of which are with as flavorful foods!) The young lady who waited on me took my order put my pizza in the oven and all was super pleasant and helpful through to whole process. I also enjoy that we get to see it all including our pizza cooking. I prefer my pizza cooked longer and she did just as I had requested which I appreciated very much. I wanted to give her her tip personally into her hand but she was super busy and she was fast too she already was in the back and so I had to put the tip in the tip canister instead. (Maybe next time?! ;) I definitely recommend bringing your little one or a friend fun an affordable $7 lunch (while the special is still available!) read more

Empty with an unwelcoming atmosphere. Both workers had a very quiet and reserved attitude with facial expressions that made you feel like you being there was an interference or waste of their time. They pizza itself was fine but the toppings was very sparse and well desired. I had to ask that I get more salami just to cover a 4th of the pizza that was lacking. Worst location. Terrible service. Ordered a pizza online the app and did not have pineapple as a selection. I then went in store to ask if I can add it since I have available 7 toppings and only used 4. They were fixated on not helping me and even when I asked I would pay extra for the topping, no service was given. Excellent experience at this location! This time, I opted for some Pesto sauce, which I later realized that I could have done without, since it is mainly oil. I then focused my sights on lots of all kinds of Cheese, some fresh veggies, herbs, and then I pleaded with the oven hostess to take some care. She did. One really has to think in advance, that due to the brief hot oven stay, it is unlikely that even mushrooms will cook, so I concentrated my options on melting items. I also opted for no meats, but did have a bunch of tasty little tomatoes, some spices, and then some more Cheeses. They wisely add the Arugula later, maybe I will also opt for adding Basel later. Wow, it is sometimes Blazing Amazing how one franchise can be so superior to one just miles away. To be fair, the huge advantage to this newer site, is the location is away from the College-town "Hungry Hoards" of SLO. That other location seems to have no problem with producing burnt Pizza after burnt Pizza, but not here. At the SLO location, they seem too busy to be careful with your order since there is almost always a huge line and the pressure to rush you or your order. It takes some care to not burn such a thin crust. This new location is next to Walmart in AG. I had all the time in the world to pick and choose what I wanted on my custom Pie, all without the pressure of "barbarian hoards" behind me ! For roughly ten bucks, I had a rather hearty meal, which I really enjoyed. I guess I constructed more of a Cheese Flatbread type of pie. It was very lite on tomatoes due to my GERD, and I wanted less oil as well. The addition of some pre-roasted Garlic cloves jazzed it up a bit. The delicate Mozzarella that melted into yummy globs was a highlight. They do have some limited sprinkle on dry spices to add on later, but for some reason do not have Garlic powder. I guess it would be rather redundant to have both roasted Garlic and the powder. I wish they had also pre-reroasted the mushrooms and used Portobello instead. Especially since I went at an off-time, the service was attentive, friendly, and I did not feel rushed. For either seniors or lighter eaters, it is quite easy to share a pie on a budget. I am so glad that I gave this chain another chance at another location. It was well worth it. This was a Blazing excellent pie and location! Note: Update 2- please see my tip that goes into the current great deals. Recommend that you get the app., they will email or notify you of great deals. Yes, it takes zillions of flames to get a Pizza, but why not? Anyway, the current $5 weekday 1/2 Pizza lunch special prior to 4pm is even good enough for a late brunch too! Update 1- ironically all my tries we published Not sure why, but this app is not letting me "Finnish" this review. It is posted, but keeps "reminding me" to Finnish it. As soon as I ordered on line they started taking orders again and the line moved some what. Blaze has been my favorite pizza place for a couple years, but I think no more. TRUST me, the pictures of pizzas on their website and the one on the door with the caption "Build Your Own" IS NOT what you're going to get! They give you the bare minimum of each item, and you have to ask for more. They'll add a skimpy amount, and your next request will net you even less. Forget trying again. And if you don't like cooked tomatoes and ask for them on the side instead of on top, forget it... they "don't do sides!" What?? The finished pizza crusts were limp, and the pooled grease on top had to be blotted off. The worker has an accent that made it hard to understand her. If you choose to sit outside, they won't call you when your order is ready, you have to guess when your order is up or you'll get it cold. This was the worst experience I've had at this location. I've heard yelpers complaining about this place but I had never 'got' it before. I left feeling a bit degraded from the visit, and shall look elsewhere for a pizza place that will value my patronage. read more

Don't order from the Blaze app, they go through door dash and will not offer compensation (or even apology) if your food is never delivered, no proof of delivery...nothing. Door dash says call the store...because I ordered through Blaze app. Store number is a dead recording. Drive to AG store and First Lady comes to register and I realise as she is nodding, she doesn't understand me. The only other person there comes up to see what I'm saying and I show her my order on blaze app and she says oh that is not us, you have to call "the number"- not giving me a number. I look up door dash and they say they have to contact the store but since there is no answer I have to go to the store for refund which I already did. Scam. read more

My only complaint about the restaurant is they, like many many other restaurants these days, make food to go when there are four humans waiting in line!!! Food is good. Pizza and small drink runs $15 per person. The restaurant is clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly enough. Come here if you have time to wait to place your order. read more

First off let me say that my family are very active Blaze Pizza fans and eaters of their pizza! We have been using the mobile app since the first day it was launched. We usually visit the locations in Fresno and San Luis Obispo at least 3 to 4 times a month and consider ourselves experts on their flavor and the vibe we should receive from entering their locations. With this said,,, I think our visit to the Arroyo Grande location with the worth we have ever received! The staff was not friendly or accommodating, the pizza was extremely dry and over cooked! And when asking for a basic side in a small cup like jalapeño peppers we were told they do not do that or offer to accommodate in some fashion. This is ridiculous and I have never been refused a small cup of peppers at any location I have been to. This is one of the wonderful details that makes the Blaze experience so great! But not this location. From crappy attitudes to overcooked burnt pizza our experience was bad. Glad the other locations are better. read more

5:16pm: I used the app for online, curbside pick up. The online app needs improvement for easier access to utilize points (free items). My email order stated order will be ready by 5:36pm. I waited to pick up order until 5:50pm, to allow peak time orders. I called to inform I had arrived. Was disappointed to be told order was still in the oven but will be brought out to my car shortly. By 6:15pm, I got out of my car, walked into an empty restaurant (only 2 dine in customers) to pick up my "curbside order". The excuse given to me was that they went to deliver my pizza but couldn't find my car. Please note on the app requires you to place the make, model and color of your vehicle, which I provided. I included the photo of the unsealed sticker on the box that was handed to me by the employee. It is in my opinion that the staff at this particular Blaze do not take pride in the company they represent. All 3 times I have eaten at this Blaze have been unsatisfactory due to poor service, undedicated service workers. Even management expressed to me it was her last day for the same reasons. I will support local communities that appreciate and take pride in their service. I recommend you find a different Blaze for your pizza. The service was not good once nor twice, but THREE times. When making a make-your-own if you tell them two cheeses you want, they'll do super small amounts of each. If you instead say them one at a time, they'll do the correct amounts. I ordered a pepperoni mushroom and olive pizza through door dash delivery , it arrived with no pepperoni. Door dash was unwilling to fix the issue, so I called blaze directly. There only option was I bring in the receipt and they make me a new one. If I wanted to visit the store I would have done that in the first place. That negates the reason to order through door dash. When I asked the manager (Santiago) for their corporate number he said I can find it on the website. Their customer service is lacking. I do not recommend this location. read more

6/15/21 Open for indoor dining. Masks are required to enter, we took ours off when we ate. Employees are super nice. They were stock up on all toppings and they were fresh. Let me preface the negative review: the food, salad and drink are decent. My review stems from the interaction with an employee. We arrived at noon and ordered two 1/2 pizzas & salads ($8.95 each) and two drinks ($2.50). The total without tax is $22.90. We get to the register and he says the total with tax is over $29.00. Impossible. I go over the math and he still insists I owe $29.00. Finally, an employee joins us at the cash register and enters in the order. $24 with tax. I don't know if this was an honest mistake, we never received an apology, but be alert and push and challenge when you feel you are being ripped off. read more

Austin helped us at Blaze the other night. He spoke to each one of my 4 kids and happily took their orders from them. They LOVE ordering for themselves so already I was super happy that an employee took the time to make them feel special and grown up. He spoke loudly and clearly, which is great in that type of make line service because often it is difficult to hear past the kitchen noise on the other side of the glass. We got six different pizzas and they made them all correctly. They had a nice crunchy crust and a great variety of toppings. I do think they were light on the cheese, but I assume you can just ask for more- we didn't do that since it was our first time and I didn't realize I could alter the specialty pizzas until I watched a few other people go through the line. The bbq sauce was tangy and sweet, I really enjoyed my bbq chicken pizza. The pesto knots were also a nice addition! We will be back and we'll try out the app ordering too. read more
