For brunch at Paloma Restaurante I got the Huevos Rancheros and a started of Yucas Fritas. The two sunny side up eggs paired delightfully with the ranchera sauce and pico de gallo. A very filling meal, I did wish to have a couple more pieces of avocado to more evenly spread across each bite. The yuca frites were nice and thick, and tasted great with the chipotle aioli. I really enjoyed the large open windows framing the restaurant. On a nice day the extra sun was delightful. We were seated very quickly and served with attention, great spot for some friends.

Went for brunch. The space was great. Food highlights were the shrimp ceviche, crispy cauliflower and churro French toast. Tacos were good but not the best we've had. Larger plates are good for sharing. Would definitely recommend ordering a lot of appetizers to share. Byob! Went with a group and did not feel rushed at all. Service was good.

Super cute spot! My friends and I met here for dinner when we were all in town and had a great meal. We loved the assortment of $5 nonalcoholic margaritas and how nicely they were presented (we each tried a different flavor). The guac was delicious and a very large serving! I had the chicken verde enchiladas (came with 3) & they were good, and the plantains were amazing as were the empanadas my friend ordered. Service was good as well!

Had fantastic brunch here. Berry compote waffle, Avocado Toast, Sweet Plantains and an Omelette. The atmosphere was also very nice and not super crowded like other places in this area. Service was great and prompt. Will definitely be back.

Interesting menu - definitely one-of-a-kind things. Portions were a little on smaller side, but still filling. Got there 45 minutes from closing. Was not rushed. Place was very clean. My husband is still talking about his dinner (the fish special).

Was torn between a 3 and 4 star review...Maybe went in with too high of expectations. The restaurant itself is very nice, bright and inviting and large. I would recommend reservations. The service was great, there are plenty of servers and helpers to make sure you're happy. The food had some highs and lows. The chicken eggroll was very good. Flavorful and crunchy with great spice. The tuna and guacamole was another star. Very good, fresh and delicious. The fried cauliflower was good except for the occasional piece that was overly salted. Steak fajitas were good. The enchiladas were fine, and the carnitas steak all good. Not mind blowing, but good. The paella was huge! We were told afterwards that it is usually for 2 or 3 people. The seafood in it was delicious, but the rice was kinda meh. It's BYOB and the margarita mix they have was very tasty. Mixed perfectly with patron.

Our first time to Paloma, we are from San Diego (just moved to Jersey 3 yrs ago) and are really particular about our Mexican food but this restaurant was spot on! Food was great! Our server Josh was amazing, he was knowledgeable and made our experience perfect! Can't wait to come back for more delicious food and we WILL request Josh! Super happy group of 4. Great hire, owners!

Absolutely fantastic! My husband and I go to Philly a lot for gourmet Mexican: Condessa, Cafe y chocolate and Nemi. This place is closer and well deserved of a gourmet rating. Huge pocket doors were opened for a nice view and felt like we ate outside. The waiter was fantastic. I wish I got his name. We started off with him making us a homemade lemonade with actually fresh strawberries! Great drink. Cesar salad was huge for the price. It includes shaved cheese, cherry tomatoes, avocado and tortilla strips. Romaine was very fresh and crunchy. Guacamole with fresh raw tuna was great and a big size. Fried cauliflower florets were the bomb. Great spicy sauce sprinkled on top. Corn on the cob was delicious. The steak with corn purée was killer good. Sliced sautéed peppers in that dish were amazing. Homemade Très Leche cake was soaked in sweet cream and was one of the highlights; a must get. Highly recommend this beautiful and tasty restaurant!!

Last night I was in the Lehigh Valley and decided to dine at La Maya restaurant in Hellertown, PA…read more I was intrigued by reviews citing its tasty modern Mexican cuisine and excellent cocktails. La Maya did not disappoint! The ambience is dimly lit, and perfect for a romantic dinner. On the cocktails side, I tried "Señor Sal" - a dirty martini / Vesper riff featuring their proprietary gin and vodka, dry vermouth, pickled jalapeño, olive brine, and lemon infused olive oil. It was a visually attractive, delicious, and sturdy cocktail. Just what the doctor ordered! Later I tried the house margarita. It was balanced and refreshing. There are options to add flavorings to the house margarita spec for +$2 (e.g., Matcha Coconut, Spicy, Guava Mint, Caramelized Pineapple). My dinner companion tried the caramelized pineapple and loved it. On the culinary side, the guacamole was fresh and flavorful. For an entree, I selected the Carne Nortena - a tequila-marinated ribeye with sauteed scallions, shisito peppers. The steak was cooked perfectly to temperature (medium-rare) and amazingly juicy. The roasted sweet potato wedges (Camote) were also outstanding. Don't forget dessert - the coconut flan was to die for! Service - I believe our server's name was Alex, was on-point. He was knowledgeable about both the food and beverages, and did not rush us. Thank you La Maya for a great evening. I will definitely return.

cute neighbors spot with great mexican food!…read more my friend and i made a reservation for 8p on cinco de mayo -- we did not realize it was cinco de mayo until we were on our way over to the restaurant, and it was crazy packed. even with a reservation, we had to wait for a table. we were seated outside initially, despite our reservation for an inside table. we did request to move inside since it was cold and windy outside, and our waiter jose told us it would take 20 more minutes. we were at the restaurant for over an hour by the time we were finally seated inside. once inside, our orders were quickly taken, and the food came out quickly. at that point, we were starving -- coming here on cinco de mayo was a mistake. the food here is excellent. the tacos al pastor were some of the best tacos i've had. the pork was so juicy and flavorful. the drinks (horchata & jamaica) were also packed with flavor and tasted incredibly authentic. the elote was delicious as well, and i enjoyed how much pulpo/octopus was on the menu. there were so many other things i wanted to try! our waiter jose was also very sweet. he apologized for the delay in getting seated, and you could tell they were working really hard to get through the rush. i would not come back on cinco de mayo, but i would definitely recommend this spot for a casual dinner.

The tacos are an incredible deal -- four for just $15-- full of flavor and perfectly portioned. The appetizers were reasonably priced and packed with taste, chips and salsa come to table when dinning in, and to top it off, the staff surprised us with a few sweet treats for the table as a thank-you gesture -- such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to our team. The outside reminded me of something I'd see in LA. The restaurant very much has retro diner vibes. The inside is very colorful, and there is a beaded entrance that leads to the bathroom. The menu, itself, was a bit limited. We got there around brunch but it was a bit later in the day, so I wasn't necessarily in the mood for breakfast items. I opted to get the General Tso wings with the sauce on the side and the chorizo and shrimp egg roll while my friend opted for the squid salad with wings, too. We both ordered a cocktail. I had the pomegranate spiked lemonade with tequila and my friend had the spiced agua Fresca with whiskey. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side, while hers was more of a smooth drink. The food came out pretty quickly. They first brought out the salad which was massive! We shared that for a bit. It was pretty good, although it seemed to be scant on dressing. Then the wings came out. They seemed to be air fried, not too greasy, and very crisp. The sauce was savory and tangy. Lastly, were the egg rolls. They were unlike any egg rolls I've seen before, but were not short on taste. The shrimp and sausage were plentiful and it was tasty. To be honest, half of it filled me up. Overall, I see this more as an appetizer type of place. Not a place I'd go for a more filling entree. The vibe is nice, and definitely a cool place to visit. My friend mentioned they do a lot of community events which I love.
