I would spend over 100 every week and my nails were good, not perfect but decent and better than any other place I tried. My friend started doing my nails and I stopped coming here up until a few days ago...I got my gel x tips removed, and I did a new full set of acrylics. to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement...I drive all the way from Calabasas to pay over 100 for a set where all nails are different lengths, shapes and widths. I was so impressed with their outside setup and safety (temperature check, health questionnaire, gloves to touch polishes). She did mess up 2 of my nails and she knows it but we were already too far in the process to start over. Nothing major but it's not perfectly perfect. On the negative side, it lasts very long. I've been going to this salon for years for gel mani and pedis! I got acrylics for the first time in years when I was back home so I went to Pampered Hands for a fill + color/design change. I showed the nail tech an example pic of what I was looking to have done and they were able to do my nails exactly like the reference photo! I can't stop lookin' at them they're sooo cute!! the nail tech that I was paired with paid very close attention to detail and made sure that everything was smooth and even and perfect! very happy. This is a great spot. It's super busy, literally at all hours of the day, even on week days. I've always been able to come in as a walk in. I think i've only called ahead maybe 3 times since I first started coming here 3 years ago? I may have had to wait like 15-20 min a few times. There was only one time I remember they were completely booked and weren't able to take me when I tried to come in as a walk in. They're always efficient and i've never had any problems or bad experiences or bad manicures or pedicures. There's always free water bottles, candy, snacks, chips, boba. Whenever I come here with my boyfriend for a pedi this is the best part of it all lmao!! Valet is really convenient especially if you're running late or can't find street parking. If you come in the middle of the day on a weekday you'll have more luck with street parking. Prices - The regular mani + pedi with regular polish is really cheap. The gel mani + pedi is way more expensive. I'm not sure what the price is for a full set + color/design but it's probably REALLY expensive because I already had a full set, I just needed a fill and color + design change which was $75 + $10 tip. I definitely understand the mixed reviews. I was in and out for a mani pedi in 30 minutes. Don't come here if you want to relax. If you're looking for something quick, this is the place. Efficiency is their game. We had appointments at 11 and were seated at 11:20. I was celebrating a birthday, so asked that me and the birthday girl could be seated together. That didn't happen until someone got up and then they moved my friend closer... a little odd. They definitely talk about you while you're sitting right there, but that's a nail salon staple. They were asking each other how much I tipped each of them, which I found to be super unprofessional and a major turn off. They also state that they are cash only and give you a hard time if you try to use a card... while the credit card machine is completely in sight. They just keep pointing to the ATM. I told them they could absolutely charge the 5% credit card fee to my card, no problem. At that point, they willingly charged my credit card without the 5%. Interesting. The one perk is they will bring you a complimentary blended boba drink. It's a small, nice refresher -- especially while you wait. Experience: 2 stars. Quality of mani/pedi: 3 stars. Update for y'all: I went back on Monday. I was too unsatisfied to let it go. I arrived unannounced around 10am. I knew I would have to face the nasty gaze of Mimi while another nail tech corrected her mistake. I didn't look for MiMi when I walked in. I waited at the front for someone to help me for a couple of minutes. No one came, but a tech giving a pedicure asked me what I needed. I told her that Mimi did my nails on Friday and they didn't look good. I showed her how the lines weren't neat and she examined them. I asked who I can speak to to correct this issue. Then she says, " well tell her to fix them." I was a little taken aback since she went on to examine them and ask questions, but had me finish the job she started. I told her that I don't see Mimi... but once I spotted her I told her it looked like she was busy with another customer. The lady then gets up without saying anything to me and walks to the back speaking in their language to Mimi. MiMi spots me and said "Hi love. How can I help you?" I walk over to her and tell her that I don't like my nails and the lines aren't neat. I show her her work. She changes her demeanor. She says "well why you say it was ok on Friday" Me: I didn't say it was ok. You didn't ask me. Mimi: when I finished I said okay? Me: no you didn't. You were very busy on Friday. Her: well I don't have time to fix it someone else will have to fix. Me: that's fine with me. That's what I initially asked the other lady. I walk away and she calls her next customer. Again, taken aback by the lack of even mediocre customer service. Kelly helped me and while Kelly and another tech spoke in a whisper together, I hear Mimi in the background talking shit, I assume (for like a cool 15 minutes on and off). Idk if it's bc they walk around handing out boba, or the mini fridge that's stocked with bottled water and diet cokes. Or it be the bags of chips that my son loves to grab while he waits with me. This place is the best if you know who to go to. Melinda is amazing but you have to book her in advance. The two times before my last appointment I was a walk in and didn't get to see Melinda and my Gel Manicure peeled within a week but just one finger which looked horrible so I had to get them all redone. They have a great selection of colors, more than most salons which I truly appreciate. Parking isn't the easiest but it's doable. There is free parking around the neighborhood streets. Totally lost my business!!! Do not go to nail tech named KELLY. She was rude and aggressive AF! removing my old acrylics. Let alone she almost ripped off my left pinky nail and she still couldn't take off a small piece of the old acrylic and I had to do it myself trying to be careful. I had to come here twice to truly see how superior this nail salon is compared to others in the surrounding area (as far as quality of manicures). Both times I've been here I came as a walk in and was greeted and seated immediately- like they are on it so quick you can't even look at all the gel colors they have! There are a LOT of employees here, more than I've ever seen at any salon but I feel like that's why they are so quick. Since there's so many people inside it can seem chaotic but i could care less - all I come for is a good mani/pedi. I've been coming in here regularly for the past year 2x a month. This Nail Salon only cares about beating time, don't come here for quality or Relaxing. They don't speak English or try to. Only the manager (DINA) and a very few will understand what you're saying. Every time I go there I ask them to shorten my nails because I don't want them to break. I've come here a couple of time and I usually really like the way they do acrylics, but today idk what happened. This review is just for the acrylics because my pedicure was great. The name of the lady that did is is Cathy (I think that's how you spell it) I can in to get a fill and to have my nails shortened. The first thing that bothered me was the fact that she filed my pinky nail way too much. I could feel the heat of the drill and the nail looks pink because it's practically just a little bit above my flesh. Also, she cut my twice with the drill. I had blood on my middle finger and the other pinky. She apologized but it didn't seem like she cared. And her nail painting skills are lacking too. The top coat isn't even and she didn't clean the edges as much as she should have. I was so pissed win the cuts that I just didn't even say anything to her anymore. When I went to let my nails dry I decided that I should make a big deal out of this because it's really not ok. So I went to the lady st the front and asked who did my acrylics and I told her about it. All she did was say sorry, but I stressed the importance of this issue because it's not ok for her to go around cutting people or drilling too much.
