I was starving and still would not eat this. Coffee with milk is good. 7/10 Pastries are decent. 5/10 Food is very below average. Steak taste as if it's just steamed with no type of added flavours. Service is good, food is really good, closest you can get to Ybor City without the trip south. But it's a little spendy.

A quick stop for lunch driving from Stuart, Fl to Atlanta, Ga back in April. Counter service - order and then sit, they deliver when ready. We both had long coffees to keep us awake for the drive. My family and I were looking for a place to eat during a 6 hour drive; SO glad we found Pampy's!! I grew up in Jersey, in a town that was 80% cuban; Pampy's food took me back to my childhood. Overall enthusiastic with our experience. It was around 3 pm when we came so it was quiet. We had chicken empanadas and beef empanadas and both were very delicious. We shared the Cuban sandwich with fries and the pork with onions and got fried yucca as well as yucca mojo. I'm sooo glad I tried yucca mojo, it was new to me and my husband and we were both impressed. We both agreed that was the best cuban sandwich we've had. The patio tables all looked clean but we opted to go to the patio so the kids can squirm around and get a little noisy. The breeze was lovely. I can't speak high enough for the ladies that helped us as well, they were helpful and also felt so welcomed and so sweet to my children. I felt like I had a home cooked meal from a friends house. Food was delicious! The shredded beef had so much flavor!! The chicken fricassee was also really good, but that beef was our favorite. The entire restaurant was very clean and when my husband peeked in the back kitchen he said it was spotless! The server was very informative with helping us pick out what we wanted, as we've never had Cuban food before. So excited we found a new place with delicious food! Traveling on I75 and decided to try Pampy's since we like small independent restaurants, it was close to an interstate exit, and it had good customer ratings. We had a delicious meal there. I had grilled chicken marinated in Cuban sauce, black beans, and congri rice. My friend ordered the special of the day Midnight sandwich with fries. We shared a flan for dessert. Everything was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. A very sweet lady was the only person working in the restaurant. She cooked and waited the tables. Service was not fast, but we didn't care. I had the masa puerco (fried pork chunks)with congri (rice cooked with black beans) and Yucca with mojo, and my husband had the pan con bistec (steak sandwich with potato sticks). Both were amazing! Traveling through LakeCity on the Interstate we noticed several Cuban restaurants advertised, when I tried to yelp them the site was having issues, so we just had to "go for it". I'm so glad we ended up at Pampy's! The place is simple and clean, the gal who helped us friendly. Seeing they had a drive-thru and having a long ways still to travel we asked if we could order to go. They happily accommodated us, but since they prepare everything fresh it did take 15 or so minutes. My husband's Pampy's sandwich (which I had a bite of) was yummy and familiar, even though I've never had Cuban faire before. It reminded me of grilled cheese with lots of thin sliced ham on really good bread. My yellow rice with vegetables was a mix of (parboiled?) white rice and diced vegetables, spice and oil. It was neither spicy or oily- I really liked its simplicity. I also got plantains maduros (sweet). There were 4 large hunks of ripe plantain that I believe were pan fried. Really tasty with a hint of banana taste, again not oily. And I got the Yucca rojo; this root vegetable has a similar consistency of a boiled white potato , there were 5-6 pieces and they had a (pickled?) garlic, oil & vinegar dressing that was light and tasty. I loved it all! My only regret was not getting one of the pastries that were spinning in the display on the counter. read more

We went to have dinner yesterday to Pampy's as a big group. We were greeted and served fast. We are a group of latin people form different countries and we all agreed the chef here knows how to cook the food very well. We had the best lechon (Roast Pork) and everything was delicious. We stopped here (not too far off the highway) on our way home from Tampa. The service was excellent and we enjoyed Pampi's chicken vegetable soup so much that we bought two containers to take home with us. The flavor was delicious.
