Awesome! Stopped by there on the way to Tallahassee. Everyone is so nice and the food is excellent.

After we attempted to go at least four times and every time the lights were on and you could see people inside but the doors were locked, we were surprised to see and unlocked door. We went in for dinner it was surprisingly warm friendly with good homestyle cooking. The fish in the seafood soup were delicious, service was great and we can't complain. We asked the server why the restaurant doors were locked on the other occasions and they said they were taking a break. We would like to return if they're open again. read more

There is always a nice ambiance when my wife and I eat here. *****On this day, however, the ambiance was disturbed by the police who came in investigating something and they were very rude to the owner and the customers. Being loud and aggressive. They came in looking for the business liquor license which they found VALID hanging on the wall but changed the story probing for other things. I believe this was an illegal attempt at probing for illegal immigration, it sure looked and sounded that way. Those police officers should be ashamed of themselves on how they spoke to that gentlemen, as if he was less of a man... As a retired veteran, I am ashamed our law enforcement treats law abiding citizens that way. read more

Basing my review ONLY on appetizers . Had two croquetas and one relleno de papa because they were already ready. Both items were good considering the fact that they were fried in advance. We were so excited to find Cuban food in the middle of the highway and Had all intentions to eat there but when you are greeted with a huge sign that says " this is not a fast food restaurant, good things take time " it kind of sets the mood to what expect so decided to leave just with the appetizers. read more

I really wanted to give a great review. But alas I cannot. I have been here for an hour waiting on two meals. Roasted pork and Peruvian chicken. We set outside which was nice and one other couple was there as well. They ordered right before us. A table of two came in at same time we did and have eaten and left as we still sit here. The two that were on porch with just left as a larger group of came in 30 minutes ago and already have their food. Hello? How do you do this people? Get the kitchen under control. Went in today starting a road trip, a quick stop to start the day off right. We met Lily, who was kind and helpful from even before we came in. My friend called to place an order and and the call did not go thru, and then she promptly received a call back asking if we had called the Havana kitchen. So kind. Walking in, you notice how clean and well organized everything is. I had a cortadito for the first time, and it is now my FAVORITE! Got the coffee right on the first try. I also tried a Cuban sandwich and a Medianoche for the first time. DELICIOUS. Hospitality was insanely kind, she gave us cold water for our road trip and all the sides we needed. This is a cute little place located just off the interstate. I had to have a beef empanada as an appetizer and the picadillo dinner special with two sides. The owner was very welcoming told us how he made the picadillo. The waiter was knowledgeable. The had colada Cuban expresso that I would have loved to try but I would have been up all night! The beef empanada was not right out of the fryer but it was darned delicious! The dipping sauce was very good, similar to a saracha mayonnaise. The Cuban bread was crispy, hot and very well seasoned! Oh, the picadillo was so good and the maduros some of the best I've ever had. I am looking forward to coming back here and working my way through the menu. I cannot even begin to say how much I love this place! Not only is the food amazing, the people are amazing too. If you go, must try the classic Cuban sandwich and of course the coffee. No one does coffee like them! We are not out on that side of town very much but absolutely any time we are, we go here. We stopped most recently after a visit to the springs and grabbed some food for the ride home. The yucca fries barely made it out of the parking lot. It was okay. They went 1000% overboard with the pico de gallo (entirely TOO much lime). Like this is the second time I've ordered and even asked them to put it on the side, however they went ahead and dumped in in the middle of my dish. I do like pico de gallo, but yikes. Also, the chicken is dry the whole dish needed a bit more moisture. The black beans were like soup. Literally could have drank it... used that to liven up dry rice and chicken. Out of all the Cuban foods I've had, this definitely misses the mark. Also be careful about their hours of operation, some sites say 10pm, but they close at 8pm and they also are sometimes randomly closed. I don't honestly think this was worth the money. First time at this restaurant since it was bought out and changed from Mexican cuisine to Cuban. The food was okay for my first time really trying Cuban food but the chicken bowl was tasty. The order was to go so I can speak much on the service but everyone was nice and helpful when it came to my questions about the menu. I gave them 3 stars because I felt like the kids meal wasn't worth the $6.99 I paid and the Cuban was missing something. Overall not a bad place to eat, I will definitely go back to get a full dine in experience and to try some new items on the menu. read more

My wife and I have been here two or three times. I have gotten the Cuban sandwich and it was fine. My wife really enjoyed the ropa vieja. Second time I got roast pork with black beans and rice and plantains, yes more please! this was delicious. The last time we were going to go they did not have the Ropa vieja so we will just have to go back soon when they do. read more

This unassuming restaurant is the best stop of our trip to Florida! The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing! I highly recommend it to any passer by as a wonderful stop. I am so sorry to have to give this place a bad rating, but I am Cuban and I have to be honest about Cuban food. The appetizer platter $39. Was missing items and was 50 percent crinkle fries. (Photo attached) Tamal was microwaved and burned and dried on the bottom. The steak was dry, burned and tasteless. Cuban sandwiches were lacking meat and more crinkle fries. The flan was curdled. The rice and beans were good. The croquettes were good. The service was good. Tried to reach out to the owners, no response. Spent $131.00 plus tip on rice, beans, croquettes and coffee. We stopped to have lunch today. Ordered the Cuban as I have gotten everytime before. Table next to us ordered a Cuban. They got their food and he called the server over and told her the pork was over cooked. She apologized and removed the item from their bill. My Cuban arrives and can't chew it. The table next to us leaves. The server comes over and asks how my pork was. I point to the pile on my plate and say it's over cooked. The server says, well that table comes all the time and complains every time. She brings us our bill and I am charged full price for pure shit!!! We paid and left but will never return again . Food is overall good. The prices are a little expensive compared to other Spanish food restaurants. Service could be better , food takes a while before you get it. They definitely need another cook and another waitress. At first they would charge you for a glass of tap water , people complained so now they don't. Wish they would sale wine or beer Would make a Friday evening a little more relaxing. The music could be better. the take out orders take a very long time. Not a bad place they just need more help.
