We recently placed another takeout order with Pan Asia. Based on my earlier experience, I decided to stick with a warm meal rather than sushi, as it appeared that the restaurant was better at those types of dishes. I opted for the Chicken Teriyaki meal, which came with miso soup, a side salad, and rice. The soup was pretty standard and just fine. The small salad had some mildly wilting lettuce and a mushy cherry tomato. It came with a side of ginger dressing, which was more pink than the orange that I was used to. I took that to mean that it had been made it pre-pickled ginger. The dressing also tasted more watery and less natural. My chicken dish was similarly mediocre; the poultry was chewy, and the sauce was sweet. The accompanying brown rice was good, though...Overall, Pan Asia was fine for our quick and convenient lunch, but was not a place I would otherwise seek out or prioritize. read more

Surprisingly good food. I always get nervous when I see blanket "asian" restaurants but this place is nothing to fear. I had really good sushi, an amazing veggie lemongrass soup and shared a delicious mei fun noodle fish with my friends. So we've covered Japanese, Thai and Chinese and all of it was good. Our waitress was super attentive and helpful - the menu is gigantic so her guidance was appreciated. Good amount of gluten free options and vegetarian options, too! read more

We used to enjoy eating here and ordering out from here, but the last few times we have gone it has really gone downhill, especially the service and the food. Tonight we were there, and my meal came out sloppy and greasy. I tried to wave down the waitress to get her attention but to no avail and when she finally came over to give us an orange for dessert, I told her the meal was terrible. It was not edible. She said ha ha I'm sorry about that and smiled. Why didn't you tell me and I said why didn't you come over and she said you should have waved me down and I said I tried. She said would you like sweet-and-sour sauce and I said no that won't help it! It's very oily and it's not edible. She went away, came back with the check but asked if I wanted something else and I said my husband's done eating. Why do I want something else now. They did not remove the bad food from the bill and we paid full price for two meals when only one was eaten. This isn't the first time we have had this problem. We had a similar problem with the wrong sushi order that was takeout and they did nothing to compensate us. I doubt that we will be going back anytime soon! be wary. read more

Pan Asia has been our second favourite go-to Asian restaurant for quite some time now, though it is almost as good as its successor. With good hours and service, there is very little to dislike about the place. This is to say that they have adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic to the best extent any restaurant could. Regardless, the most important object of any restaurant is its food. My family and I ordered salmon, miso soup, ginger salad, Mongolian beef, and fried rice. The salmon in particular, along with all the other food items, was very well portioned; you practically get more than you pay for. The miso soup, a must for those with an affinity for Japanese cuisine, is rather good as well. Other places tend to mess it up by making too watery, and too lacking in tofu; Pan Asia avoids this blunder. The ginger salad and chicken fried rice don't disappoint as well; they are par excellence among their counterparts in other restaurants around here. The Mongolian beef is one of their specials, and rightfully so. Served with onions, rice and greens, it is a truly unique addition to Pan Asia's palette. Pan Asia is worthy of recommendation. Recent events have shown that businesses affiliated with Asian-American cuisine and culture warrant our support, especially as some ill-advised people are boycotting them out of an irrational fear of Asia that has stemmed from the coronavirus, which started in China. read more

We had to wait 3 months for TD bank to credit the debit card bk the money because the (the manager) didn't know how to credit back a debit card. Even though they agreed they got paid twice. This was our first try of Pan Asia. We ordered the Pan Asia sampler. The spring roll, crab wonton, spare ribs and dumplings were tasty. The beef and chicken on a skewer was so salty we could not eat them. The coconut shrimp roll sounded intriguing but I found it to be bland and dry. The wonton soup was flavorful but very salty and the wontons did not have any meat in them. Singapore Mei Fun had the right amount of heat however as with the other dishes was overpowered by salt. To be fair I do not use salt so that may have contributed to a sensitivity to salt. The Sumo roll was good. The ginger that accompanied it was mushy. read more

As a frequent take out customer, this evening we decided to take advantage of the coupon for the first time. We checked out the dinners and opted for two entrees plus rolls and extra fried rice from the on line menu. The price quoted when the order was placed was higher that we thought. Upon pick up the man at the front said that yes there was a price increase and he knew that the online menu needs to be changed and they will get to it eventually. And our fault for not reading the fine print but the coupon was for in dining only but he said we could use the $5 coupon since the order was over $40. My husband did not bring all of them and good customer service would have been the management should have given us the coupon as a courtesy. We usually order from Pan Asia in Barnegat because we like the food, but after a few incorrect orders and our experience tonight, we will not be ordering again. We ordered our food for takeout at 5:30 and I was told it would be ready at 6. We came at 6 to pick up our order and they couldn't find it. They said they would make our food, but we would have to wait another half hour (with no discount). We then waited 50 minutes to get our food, and while we were waiting, we saw people get sat at table and get their food before us. We double checked and definitely called the correct location. First time take our from Pan Asia tonight. The food was piping hot even after we picked it up and brought it home. The sesame chicken is flash fried and there isn't a ton of breading a a little hunk of chicken like most Chinese places have. The sauce isn't goopy either! It's a light soy based marinade almost. VERY good!!! The hot and sour soup was pretty bland I must say. It had great color with lots of mushrooms but it was really lacking in the spice department. Spicy chicken Pad Thai was scrumptious with lots of chicken and peppers. The peanuts were ground up and I liked that a lot. They weren't just an afterthought and thrown on there. The flavors mended so much better that I wasn't crunching on half peanuts the whole time. My favorite part of the meal by far was their fried crab wontons. The cream cheese and crab stuffing inside was so fresh and tasty with chives. Out of this world the best I ever had. It also came with a Thai Chili sauce that complimented them really well. The sushi rolls were poorly shaped and sloppy. The experience was not good. With only take out to deal with I would think that the restaurant would really try to present their best foot forward.
