Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. I ordered veggie tempura and was charged the same amount as the veggie + shrimp one even though it came with one piece less. My sushi roll came out with no chopsticks, no soy sauce, and I ended up having to eat it with a fork. It was dry and disgusting. My friend's sushi somehow came out 45 minutes later, even though we ordered it at the same time. After letting them know I was vegetarian, they brought out some unidentifiable soup and after managing to flag someone down to ask if it was vegetarian, they told me "probably not". No one seemed to know what was in it, or why I was brought it after explicitly stating my dietary instructions. During the hibachi experience, all the fun tricks that other tables got were missing. It was lazy, sloppy, and our table felt like an afterthought. Keep in mind this reservation was to celebrate our friend's birthday, and due to the 1.5 hours we had to wait for our hibachi chef, the rest of the evening festivities were messed up. The icing on the cake was having to auto tip 20% for the worst service and worst dining experience of my life. I don't say this lightly, but Kaze needs to close down. What a despicable excuse for a restaurant. I can only warn you against visiting - you will regret it.

My friend and I were catching up while waiting for our other friend to arrive, so we didn't immediately realize that we had not been greeted, given menus, or offered water. When our other friend arrived, she was told that we were seated in the back, but no one walked her back to our table or showed her where we were. She had to find us herself. We sat there for approximately 10 minutes before I finally had to flag someone down just to get water and menus. At that point, we had still not been acknowledged by our server. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we could clearly see our server, CJ, serving the two tables next to us while completely ignoring our table. Then, a party of six sat down, and CJ immediately went to their table. We had already been sitting there for approximately 25 minutes at this point. I finally got up and asked to speak with a manager. Shortly afterward, CJ came to our table. I explained to him that we had been sitting there watching him serve the tables around us without acknowledging us. His response was, "I just got here." That was simply not true. We had watched him for approximately 20 minutes serving other tables, walking around the restaurant, and repeatedly passing by us. He then immediately went to serve the table that had just sat down. When I asked again to speak with a manager, three employees went over to a man sitting at the bar, but instead of sending a manager or supervisor to address our concerns, they sent the host, Fiona. She was neither a manager nor a supervisor. At no point did anyone take accountability for what happened or make a genuine effort to address our concerns. We were three African Americans who came to this restaurant to enjoy sushi and celebrate our friend's birthday. Instead, we were repeatedly ignored while watching other customers receive service around us. Based on the way we were treated, we left feeling that we had been discriminated against. I understand that restaurants can have busy days, and I understand that mistakes happen. What I do not understand is being completely ignored, watching other parties receive service before us, having to flag someone down for basic necessities like water and menus, and then not having our concerns taken seriously when we finally spoke up.
