    White Rice

This is my favorite fast Chinese food near James Island. They are closed on Saturdays, which is sad, but we really like going when we can. There's always a kid watching TV in the front which means you know its going to be yummy! We like the general too and the orange chicken the best. The sesame is good, but pretty sweet. The white rice is a good sticky consistency which I like. I prefer the noodles to the friend rice in regards to flavor. We've never seen anyone else sit inside and eat, but we usually do. They seem pretty busy with to-go orders.

The best Chinese food in Charleston! Always fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend if you're on James Island or Folly.

Decent little Chinese place near Folly Beach. Typical menu you see at every Chinese to-go restaurant. They had fans going and the front door open; no A/C it seemed. Expect to pay under $10 per person, which in today's world is hard to find outside of fast food joints. Food was about the same as you'd find at these places; good food, not great. I had the sesame chicken with pork fried rice, egg roll and spring roll. The egg roll and soda were $2 extra. After getting my food I went back to the counter to ask for a little sweet & sour sauce for the rolls. Usually I'd dip them in the sesame sauce, but the sauce was a little light. The lady running the place was cooking so she sent her six-year-old (give or take) daughter up to help me. She was not a happy camper! She asked why I wanted it. I said I was just asking for a small amount for the egg and spring rolls. I know they keep it in the back ready to go, so not a big ask. She looked at my food and said "your meal doesn't come with sweet & sour" and then told me it would be $1. I told her never mind and went back to my table. A couple minutes later her mother brought me a small cup of sweet & sour (nice save). I guess customer service isn't dead...unless you're expecting it from a six year old kid who'd rather be playing than helping her mother at work!

It's a quick drive from Folly Beach. We enjoyed everything in our order. The dishes looked similar but were different flavors. Be sure to pay the extra $2 for a coke and egg roll. They are very good.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to our amazing walking tour guide…read more The restaurant has a unique vibe in that it's located in the same building as the Pour House. You can always grab a bite here and then head next door for some live jazz! That being said, the food was phenomenal. Everything is unapologetically spicy, so be prepared! We had the biang biang noodles, the lamb dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and the fried green beans. Everything was delicious but my favorite were the Biang Biang noodles. Honestly wish I had discovered this spot a day earlier as there were probably 6 other items that I wanted to try! lol I'd highly recommend it if you're in town.

The ambiance is very charming, making it a great spot for a casual yet elevated dinner. The Drink: We tried the traditional infused Baijiu for the first time. It's a concentrated liquor that packs a serious punch! It's served in a vessel smaller than a shot glass and meant to be sipped. One of the staff members shared the history and craft behind it, which made the experience feel like a genuine cultural exchange The Food: The Hot and Sour Mushrooms are the unsung heroes of the menu. They were earthy, tangy, and the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the fiery Cumin Lamb Noodles. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!
