Look. If you're here for authentic Korea town soondubu you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you need a fix and you're at work and nothing else will do? This is the spot for you. Can you make better soon at home? Absolutely, can you do it on your lunch break? No. The food served is what I'd call a valiant effort. No small side dishes served with your meal was a real let down. No banchan really makes the price seem expensive. $8.99 for plain soon and $2.00 for a meat. Most places I've visited give you banchan for the same price whether it's mung beans, broccoli, or dried anchovies in a spicy bean paste. All in all I'll probably come back here if I get an insatiable desire for Korean food while at work but I'm not making it a go to spot if I'm craving it while off. Staff seem friendly enough and they only deliver on Grubhub or seamless. You can't physically call the location and ask them to deliver to you because they don't have drivers which sucks. As much as I love these third party companies I'd rather give all my money to the small businesses. The seating area is a supermarket food court shared with other vendors. They take cash and credit and have a decent selection of sushi displayed. read more

This food-court like restaurant is located inside the Food Bazaar Supermarket (previously the Pathmark). They have a large variety of food selections and the place appears clean and well run. We had a mix of dishes for lunch: Chicken Teriyaki Over Rice for $5.50- it was the special of the date. Good and tasty. Rate 3/5 Korean beef stir fry (Bulkoki) 9.95- it was Tasty and made well. After Starbucks. I came here to grab something to eat before I start work. I come to food bazaar to shop grocery but didn't had the chance to get food from here until today. There was Korean food, sushi, Greeks food and pizza. I was craving for some noodle soup so i decided to get pork ramen. I ordered pork ramen! I clearly said it three time! I said it English but she didn't seem to understand so I said it in Korean twice and she's like okay okay! The lady who works in the front she's seem angry with unhappy face. I was thinking about cancelling the order but I didn't. The noodle I got was not pork ramen! It's just noodles with bunch of bean sprout! A regret and disappointing! Also this noodle soup was salty I had to pour half of my water to this ramen! I don't Recommened getting the Japanese style ramen here! Whatever you order such as shoyu ramen, miso ramen, pork ramen, you probably will get bunch of bean sprouts! This is one the worst!! Yeah I complained she said to me there's no pork ramen so I decided to take picture of their menu! Oh yeah don't believe the pictures on the menu! Don't expect to come out same as on the picture because it won't! There was another lady next to me she order three soup I think, she seemed pretty upset too because the customer was telling the lady in the front that she wanted 1 extra spicy, 1 no spicy at all, & 1 regular soup. While also going to teriyaki 365 I decided to try pantastics okonomiyaki. I would say it's above average in value and flavor. It comes with 2 which is nice and for the most part the edges were crispy but when I got the center it was a little too mushy. If they just fried it up a little better it would've been perfect. Only tried the steamed dumplings from here while grocery shopping, nothing spectacular and seriously thinking they just used the pre-packaged ones in the frozen section of food bazaar.....if that was the case, why the wait of over 20 minutes...May as well just go into food bazaar and buy a bag of frozen dumplings yourself for less than $10, and you'd get 20+ of them :D The sushi was reasonably priced and had a decent assortment though. read more

Beware! We came here to kill some time while waiting for our car to be serviced. If you must come here I recommend having very low expectations. Everything from their rice cake which was bland, to their chicken teriyaki, which was inedible rubbery/chewy garbage food. We spent $40 on food we ended up throwing away after 2 bites. Pan-Tastic is in the food court of the Food Bazaar supermarket and unexpectedly is pretty delicious. For a food court location the menu prices seemed inflated by $1 or $2 in my opinion but overall it's fair and you get a decent amount of food. My Katsu Don was really tasty, tender inside and crispy outside as you'd expect. It comes with a miso soup and came out to $10.88 with tax. They also have a whole ramen and sushi menu here which I might come back to try. This is an awesome spot for before or after shopping. I've been eating here for months, and don't let the setting fool you. This little corner stand in the food court is refreshingly good. From fresh sushi rolls to steaming ramen and Don katsu, the food was made in no time and sent out with generous portions. After certain times they have specials where rolls can be bought for 5 dollars! I tried the udon soup with the rainbow sushi roll, followed up with the fried Don katsu, and I was not disappointed. The sushi is always fresh, and the udon always hits the spot for me. The sauce for the fried katsu is one that I've never had before, and goes perfectly with the meat! Undoubtedly the best place to eat in the food court, after tasting the rest. Management is always attentive and kind, and serves you with a smile. If you're looking for quality restaurant food in a casual environment, pantastic is the way to go! read more

This place is pretty good for being in a food court. I ordered the Bimbimbap with spicy pork and a side of kimchi. The flavors came together nicely. The veggies could be a little crisper, but that's my preference. The menu is very limited for Korean food. They serve all differnt kinds of maki rolls, but don't have kimbap...humph. lol. When it comes to Korean food, LIC is not the place to go. I have tried several around here to see if I could find a decent place and so far I am at a loss to still find one so far. You should try Flushing Queens. I typically will order tons of food on the 1st try to get a sense of their food...In this case I found only one item I would even contemplate ordering from them again. Bibimbap: Loved it. Just what I was looking for. I always ask for an extra egg and I got it although the second time I ordered it again and told them to add an extra egg they did not. Make me irritated. Soondubu Soup: Super spicy and I don't like spicy food at all. This was too hot. Couldn't taste anything else because my mouth was on fire. Wouldn't get it again. Japchae / Japchae Rice: Never understood having a noodle dish and putting another carb like rice along with it. Doesn't make sense. But it tasted like all Japchae I've tried in LIC. Lobster Roll: Didn't really taste like lobster but more shrimpy and there was barely any of the seafood. Mostly rice and filler veggies. The rice was too warm and was overcooked and mushy. Pork Dumplings: Filling didn't have much flavor. Scallion Pancakes: Man was not crispy at all. The pancake part of it (which is the most important part) tasted doughy and undercooked making the whole thing undercooked and raw. The right pancake is supposed to be still slightly puffy with a chewing center and crispy outside. This was just dough and grease. Seafood Pancakes: Same as the scallion pancakes. And They just use octopus. Didn't see much else. It was so greasy it could not pick it up because the whole thing slid off my fork or finger. After one bite I was over it. If you want good Korean pancakes you have to go into Manhattan to Korea Town. Not here. I would not order from here again unless I really wanted the bibimbap. read more

Punches above its weight considering it's in the food court of a grocery store. I always come here with my girlfriend after we're done grocery shopping. I always feel lazy once I'm done grocery shopping and this is the perfect solution... I can always cook tomorrow. Their boxes of sushi are delicious and very affordable. If you're a sushi purist, this isn't the place for you. However, if you appreciate everything covered in spicy sauce, tempura flakes, and avocado, you owe it to yourself to visit Pan-tastic. This is a sushi place in the food court in Food Bazaar. I got a box of tuna sashimi and salmon roll for $13 around 8:30pm at night. The fish looked kinda dark and didn't taste very fresh. I am glad I didn't get sick. One thing that made me really mad was that right after I paid my sushi for $13, the lady flipped the price tag around for $5. WTF! The guy working there was smart enough to notice we were there and flipped the sign back, but still......... I know they are flipping it right after we left. I feel cheated on. read more

This place is one of four spots to get something to eat in the food court of Food Bazaar. Having eaten at all four, this is objectively the best one. Any dish, from the bibimbap to the okonomiyaki and anything in between, are served in very generous portions. And it is super yummy. As a customer, you're served large portions of high quality, restaurant-style dishes while in a casual food court atmosphere. We got ready-made sushi (with a price sticker on the top, as seen on grocery store sushi), a rice dish with no meat (although, to be fair, the bibimbap actually does not include meat in the description), and miso soup with nothing in it but seaweed.
