We drove about 40 minutes to try these tasty treats. We took a cooler bag with frozen gel packs to get it home and they put our cupcakes and pastries in plain brown boxes (like that of in and out burger) that don't account for the height of the treats, so the boxes won't close completely. I asked about it but they had no alternatives. The lady serving us also tried to overload one box. I had to ask her to separate them and they still didn't fit. The end result was that by the time we got home, 3 were smashed, the boxes already had several marks of the treats soaking all the way through. This is specifically why I asked for a proper cupcake/pastries container because otherwise part of the frosting/treat oils are lost in transit making for a bit of a dried out texture by the time you get to try them. (For us, only about 55 minutes) This place is excellent if you plan to eat right away. Sweet Tooth, please fix your packaging for those who come a long ways to see you! and you would be 5 stars all day long.

They were all so good, freshly made and packed with deliciousness inside each tamale. My favorite one is the jalapeño with cheese they were spicy but not an overwhelming heat. Honestly it had just enough heat to enjoy and taste it. They all were great and not dry at all. The service was amazing, they always have long lines and at times it can be wrapped around the building. The staff has a great system in place allowing the wait time to be about 6-8 minutes long from start to finish (10 minutes on a busy day). If you are wise don't go alone and have someone tag along. One person to get in line while the other parks-- then one person to get Mexican bread while the other waits in line for the tamales. The inside has a small feel to it only because of the amount of customers they have at any given time. I walked in with what seemed like a short line, only for it to feel smaller in a matter of minutes with many more customers arriving. Overall I would recommend to try them out and see how great they are. Lastly, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful !

These issues range from forgetting my strawberry real fruit in my drink, being skipped, handing me cups with faulty lids and knew they were faulty more than once, and worst not putting my drinks in the carrier properly causing it to spill inside my car and not wanting to even give me a rag to help clean it up. The response I got was yeah, they can be a little faulty. Wow! It's disappointing to have experienced all these issues in less than a month. I did change my review from 1 star to 3 because this last visit was better.

Mi mamá fue hoy en la mañana a comprar pan y accidentalmente movió una charola de pan como media pulgada y le grito muy feo a mi madre que tiene 72 años y esta señora con esa actitud va perder clientes. Si el dueño está viendo esto no le conviene tener ese tipo de personas atendiendo a los clientes. Después de cómprale dos bolsas de pan dulce y bolillos mi madre pidió otra bolsa vacía porque le hizo nudo la señora y por el el arthritis no podía agarrar la bolsa bien . La señora no le quiso regalar una extra bolsa. Mi madre le dijo q se la pagaba por la bolsa vacía extra y le contesto que ni regalada ni vendida le daba nada!! Y después se la aventó como si fuera un perro. Si esta señora es la dueña pues que triste que trate a su gente y a las personas de la tercera edad con tanta discriminación desprecio y hace avergonzar a uno como si fuero uno a robar o mendigar. Tristemente dice que el pan si está delicioso y le recuerda a su tierra natal Guadalajara Jalisco pero q gente como ella valen una mierdolaga que mejor no regresa asta que esa disque señora se valla a freír ongos anca bolsa madre. Y si es la dueña pues entonces pobre de ella porque la dignidad vale más q su pan. This is the third or fourth time I come and they close early on and I don't come often because I come from Los Angeles. A man saw us at the window, but just said they were closed. So, I called them and the owner answered and I asked him why they were closed. In a defensive tone he said because they're the owners and could close whenever they want. Then he went on saying about them running out of bolillos and how the customers were complaining about it so they close early because of it. Then he said that their employees work all day and they need to get home to their families. Ok, sounds like a considerate employer huh. Wait! But...Hmm, that's how they answer to their loyal customers? Wow!! What an unprofessional demeanor and lack of consideration. Very poor service skills. Definitely not taking notice of the customers at all. Do they not understand that the customers are main reason they exist as a bakery? And if they want their employees to get home to their families, why not close every day at 1:30 pm or 1 pm? Doesn't make any sense. All it takes is to change the hours on the sign. Am I the only one who's been blown off like this? For more than 40 years, I, as well as many members of my family and friend in the Inland Empire, have been regular customers and contributors to this bakery and the other Vallarta's bakeries and they just could care less and give us the cold shoulder. If it was an employee who told me this I'd understand, but an owner! They just lost me as a customer. I'll surely let all family and friends know. To the owner: Closing your bakery early was overlooked over and over, but you belittling and dismissing me as your customer is unacceptable. Please learn communication skills before dealing with your customers or you will lose them. To Employers of Vallartas Bakery - What a disappointment!

I was in need of a birthday cake and cupcakes for my grandsons 6th birthday party so I found this…read morebakery as I wanted a "custom" cake ...WELL...the cake designer spoke with me in detail and along with pictures that I provided agreed that she would deliver what I was wanting !!? NOT!!! It turned out to be a complete nightmare, I had my husband pick up the cake/cupcakes for me as I was busy setting up decorations. First off it was a two tier cake and upon moving the cake to put in car the top tier started sliding off!! I came to find out that there were no anchors from top tier to bottom layer to give it support ( not to mention the extreme amount of icing between layers causing the sliding )!? I had given her a pic of the cake design to be put on top tier which was the face of "Pikachu" on it (refer to pic) but what I got was "Pikachu" the horror flick! ( also refer to pic) and lets talk about the frosting, it was so thick that the cake was all frosting and an oily looking frosting not at all buttercream with very little cake hidden in the mass of frosting and tsame with cupcakes, piles and piles of icing and we had ordered half chocolate and half white cake but all were white cake and half of them were burnt !! I took one cupcake and showed the owner the difference in the burnt cupcake and he refused to admit it? I took the complete lowered tier of the cake along with the cupcakes back because my guests that did taste the cake were disgusted by the enormous amount of icing and they said the cake was very dry and so the cake/cupcakes were not eaten? Since I had immediately called the bakery right after my husband brought the cake/cupcakes and I saw the "monstrosity" that they made for my party and the owner said if I return he cake/cupcakes immediately he would give me my money back??? He knew good and well that hosting a party that was not an option for us to leave again? So first thing Monday I returned to the bakery with cake/cupcakes in hand ( except for the cake/cupcakes that I had thrown in he trash) but no matter how visual my complaint was, by pointing out all the issues with their order delivery, and even with all the issues presented the owner would not admit to any and refused to return my money, even though he could see what all my complaints were about and why!! So needless to say that was $215.00 wasted and not to mention the embarrassment I felt having to present my guests AND grandson with such a poorly disgusting looking cake that looked like it was made at home by a novice homemaker not an authentic viable bakery....please review attached pics and visualize why this bakery has received this review on YELP, if I can prevent anyone else from going thru the kind of disappointment and embarrassment that this bakery put on me then Ive done my just duty? BTW and as I said the owner could had cared less!?
